This is my second time using these guys. A couple of years ago, I hired them and since then I've been referring them to friends. They are the most professional crew handling everything with care. Even with a snafu with my storage lock, they managed to make two stops before the final destination and get everything moved in within 3 1/2 hours. I have hired movers in the past and this company beats them all. In service and price, because let's face it, its expensive to move. A lot of movers wanted me to video my home with doors and cabinets open. I dont have that kind of time. I spoke with Mike and I gave him inventory of what was going and he gave me a solid price. A Wise Move indeed. From the moment I spoke to Mike about what I needed he was very nice and told me exactly what to expect. I had called other movers who wanted me to video my whole house including opening all closets and cabinets and then they could evaluate. With Mike I gave him an inventory of what was going and he didn't quote me, he gave me a price instantly. We did a local move when I downsized and needed to first donate a ton to the local consignment and goodwill and selected a mover that could divide and conquer years of stuff. They managed the donations vs the products and furniture I would keep in a smaller two bedroom condo. That was tough. The donations and consignments outnumbered the other stuff 3 to 1. These guys are great! They make moving so easy and smooth! I have used them twice now and if I am going to move again, they are the company I'm going to call. They have always sent three men out and they work really quickly. They are also very careful of things that are fragile. I they have all the materials and wrap everything and blankets and with shrink wrap if needed. They are first class! If I ask them to do anything extra, they don't hesitate and they do it. I must have a fake wise move to my place about two months ago. The truck has nothing similar to the picture shown here and the movers are improfeestional at all. Only one person understood English, so they took a lot of time to translate and talking how to move, for installing my bed, they went down and up for 30 minutes and ended up they did not tell me they could not find all the scenes because it was left at my old house when I went back for something, I found it on the floor. Today, when I was cleaning up my garage I found out they damaged one of my dining tables badly, instead of taking it off, they broke it off. There was no blue towel wrapped up my furnitures and my floor, I even asked if they have gloves to wear so my wall and my furnitures won't have so much finger prints, the answer was no. When they went up to second floor, I asked if they have shoe covers as my stairs and second floor are carpet, the answer was no. I requested packing service, and there was no packing. I instructed them which parts were going to my apartment and which parts were going to my garage, and they still mixed everything together which caused moving time much longer when they moved staff out to my new location. Excellent moving experience with A Wise Move. The team arrived on time, packed all our belongings and loaded everything into their truck in no time. While they were inside the house, they were careful not to scratch walls or cause any damage to the property or our furniture. When we arrived to our new property, they were very quick and efficient. All our furniture was unwrapped, assembled again and placed where we want it in the house. All our furniture arrived in excellent condition with no dents, scratches or damage at all. I called Mike to get a quote on a 5-hour drive, 1 Bed/1Bath interstate move. Like someone mentioned, he was quick about giving me the pricing without any inventory count request. This made me nervous. I got a bunch of quotes from major van lines to other local moving companies and found that Mike's pricing was fairly competitive. In the end, the no nonsense quote without nickel and diming made me decide to go with A Wise Move. This was a very good decision, as the 2-day move went very smoothly. Mike is a good communicator -- always responding to my emails and texts. He ensured the team arrived promptly at 9:00am as committed. A 6-member crew came and got my stuff out in 1 hour even with blanket wrapping my furniture! The next day, Gino and Trevor delivered my shipment at my requested time of delivery. A Wise Move's owner Mike answered the phone and quickly gave me a straight-forward quote that was better than all others I had received. I was not sure about the seller's schedule at the time, so I told Mike I would get back to him later. When I did contact Mike a couple weeks later, he remembered me which truly impressed me. Mike worked hard to include my one-item move into their busy Saturday schedule and executed it smoothly as promised (gave me 30-min. head-up notice). Imma start this one off with a note on my personal moving style- I move breakables, electronics and really personal things myself and I hire movers for the bulk items and the furniture. I pretty much have things wrapped and taped by the time the crew shows up and I don't need a lot of the extras such as packing boxes or wrapping wood pieces or taking apart the furniture that travels and stores better when it's disassembled. My drawers are empty, too. Packing up a 2700 sq ft house into the 26 foot truck took about 45 mins and the guys did an outstanding job of loading and negotiating a very tall (10 foot ceilings equals big a** staircase) set of stairs with some heavy pieces and they got the washer and dryer loaded easily too. I wanted to sell it or donate it but there's that idiot who parked the boat sideways in the canal in Egypt and now we can't get new appliances, so I'll be keeping the old rusty dusty jawns awhile longer. All the stuff went into storage at a facility very nearby and the crew had the truck unloaded and the 10' x 20' storage unit packed like they got the high score on Tetris. There's even room to spare for me to store a few more things than I thought possible. The whole job was done in under 3 hours and I tipped each of the 3 gentlemen for a job well done and paid just over $300 for the move. When I need to move the things from the storage unit in a few months I'll no doubt be calling A Wise Move for another quote. read more
