Since their quote was almost half the price (!) we decided to give them a try. You wonder if paying less means inferior service or other problems. That wasn't the case at all. Communication was great. Eric and Miguel showed up right on time (one of those dreadful 110° Phoenix heat advisory days) and worked quickly and carefully. We were very happy to have found this company and are pleased to say they'll be our local movers going forward.

I needed to get my household goods out of their storage quickly to stop the situation from getting worse. Just-In Time Moving was gracious enough to fit me into their schedule last minute. Their office was communicative, their estimate was thorough and clear, and the final bill matched what they estimated. The crew showed up on time, communicated throughout the day, and was professional, careful, and kind. This was not a simple move. They had to unload my furniture and belongings from storage crates, unwrap items that had been wrapped by the prior mover, take care with everything, rewrap my furniture, load it, transport it, and unload it into my new storage unit. They completed the entire job in 7.5 hours. By comparison, the prior mover had tried to bill me 16.5 hours for the move into storage alone. Just-In Time Moving did a fantastic job, and I am extremely grateful they were willing to help me on short notice. After the experience I had before them, their professionalism, clear communication, and honest billing meant everything. My advice to anyone hiring movers: read all reviews carefully, do not take online ratings at face value, check whether the company is listed with moversaz.org, review BBB ratings, and read how the company responds to 1-star and 2-star reviews. I wish I had done more research before hiring the first company. I am very thankful I found Just-In Time Moving when I did.

Just to see, I spent a day calling around for quotes. Some places wanted nearly $300/hr plus a long laundry list of hidden fees, and I thought there was no way it was worth it. But the last company I called was Sterling Interstate, and wow--what a breath of fresh air. We had already dealt with a lot of stress while closing on our first home, and we just needed a reliable team to cross the finish line. The moving industry doesn't always have the best reputation, so I was praying they'd be good--and they turned out to be the absolute best. Not only is their hourly rate very fair for the quality of work, but they also don't hit you with random fees. My husband and I had our home 95% packed and stacked, leaving them to navigate moving everything down a flight of stairs and prepping/packing the larger furniture. Since this was our first time hiring movers, we were blown away: they wrapped and packed everything like it was going cross-country! Even knowing it was only a 15-minute drive, they took zero chances with damage, and everything arrived completely untouched. I am terrible with names, so I've already forgotten the exact crew who came out, but they were AMAZING. On a brutally hot and humid July day in Arizona, they hustled nonstop for 6.5 hours. They took necessary breaks, but they worked so hard, all while cracking jokes with us and keeping the mood light. By the time they left, it felt like saying goodbye to old friends. Pro tip: If you hire movers in the AZ summer, please be kind--offer them cold water, sports drinks, and maybe some Rice Krispies Treats to keep them going! They saved us so much time and left us with the energy to unpack and settle in half the time it would have taken on our own. We are so thankful we went with Sterling Interstate. Jeff and his crew (Roy, Matthew & Aidan) came up with a solution for me that was very workable. They came out 2 days before the move and completely loaded up a U-Haul. They came back 2 days later with their truck and loaded up the balance of my property, moved both trucks to my new location and unloaded both. These guys worked like dogs, but very efficient and friendly dogs! They were extremely careful with my stuff, and the only thing that got broken was a piece that I transported myself. I should have let them do it. They came in under what their original time / cost estimate was. All of the big name interstate movers turn down small sized interstate moves. I must have called 12 different movers; which included the well known companies and some of the smaller ones. The local companies are happy to take your business for intrastate moves; but not interstate moves. I was concerned when no contract was required by Brandon. However, this guy can be trusted to perform what is agreed upon with just using text messaging. He is also very careful with fragile pieces; taking great care in delivering them in one piece. Some movers suggested shipping our boxes. However, this is not an inexpensive option. Plus ,unlike Brandon, who carries your boxes out of the unit and into your destination ( we have three levels ); the usual shippers require delivery to the store and drop off at the eventual destinations front stoop. As a side note, he charges/quotes based on the furniture you have over hours of service. I found this to be cheaper than other companies out there (especially if you just have one room of furniture like I did) so he's really nice for smaller moves like mine and I recommend him as well because of this. He even helped my mom take an old TV stand to consignment for us which was very much an appreciated favor of his company with the original job and furniture that I had with him.

Movers didn't shrink wrap the mattress, didn't unscrew nightstand legs which are now broken, and the tv stand is damaged because movers asked to add items inside even though I had it empty. Their way of helping was refunding $150 to get a temporary mattress from Walmart and told me the claims department would be in touch in 3-5 business days. In the end they only compensated me $900 despite the thousands of dollars of damage. In addition to the damage, one of the movers the company set up for the CT delivery made inappropriate sexual comments to me while I was alone (I'm a young female). Do not use them!

As we were packing we discovered the amount of items we needed to store were expanding. Judy realized they didn't have a 3rd unit and called several other local storage facilities in an attempt to help me locate one. When that didn't come to fruition, Judy emptied the unit they use to store their items for the facility and rented that to me as well. The place is clean and secure. Easily accessed. Her positive attitude is contagious. She helped me with my storage needs. She was very thorough. She walked me through the property. The property is very nice. It looks brand new and extremely clean. It is centrally located, and unlike most climate controlled facilities. That one is actually cold inside. One of the things I noticed while touring the property was Renee knew all the renters that were on the property by name. I thought was wonderful. Throughout my three visits to the property to Renée was on site. One thing I will mention is being a store manager. I seen her personally with the cleaning cart and gloves on cleaning storage units cleaning as well as the facilities. As a manager myself, I thought her leading my example was amazing. She also checked on me to make sure I was doing OK because it was hot outside while unloading my U-Haul unit. She's very hands-on. She has a great personality. This store facilities is a very lucky to have her. I would highly recommend the facility based off of how clean it is, how well kept it, it's very centrally located in Phoenix. And of course, because of Renee.

They just don't accept plastic or glass bottles here. This place looks like a dump but the customer service is very fast and efficient. Most of the workers here are Spanish speaking so hopefully you can make out what they tell you. My Spanish is Sykes rusty so I only understood 5% of what they said. All in all, this was a pleasant experience. Obviously, you're not gonna get rich by recycling anything but it does give you some pocket change to maybe buy a lottery ticket or two. I don't recall what the exact redemption value was for bringing in your unwanted cans for cash but I got around 50 cents for maybe 1.5 lbs of soda cans. Almost enough for a $1 lottery scratcher. The workers here will unload your trunk for you and weigh it all and than give you the proper amount of money. Fast service and you don't even need to lift a finger besides opening your trunk that is. I'm from Hawaii and back home, you can actually pay a utility bill or cell phone bill with your recycling money. Not here in Phoenix, it's a totally different process here so I'm gonna start trashing all my recyclables instead. Hope this helps my fellow planeteers!!

I've used a lot of moving companies over the years, having lived a slightly nomadic life, and I don't say this lightly -- A Wise Move outperformed every single one of them. I hired them for a short move across town in Mesa, and ended up using them again shortly after for a second round because they were that good and so easy to work with. Every part of the experience was exactly as they represented it. They were punctual, kind, thorough, fast, and extremely careful. No hidden charges. No dragging their feet. No upselling. Just steady, focused work. Three flights of stairs (no elevator) and not a single complaint or pause. There were a few awkward pieces I wasn't sure how to move, and before I could even finish explaining the concern, they already had a solution. They were problem solvers from start to finish. Most impressive, they finished within the exact time estimate they gave me -- which almost never happens. My mom's movers showed up with a truck that was way too small on the day her house was closing escrow -- and instead of owning it, they blamed her and treated her terribly. I called your company in a complete panic not knowing what to do. You picked up the phone and immediately made me feel like everything was going to be okay. Very nice service. They coordinated their existing jobs to accommodate my schedule to bring a crew out on relatively short notice. A Wise Move's per-hour pricing was the lowest of all the companies I called, and they only charged me their cost for the boxes and packing materials they used. Additionally, where some of the bigger companies had unacceptably severe restrictions on the liability they'd accept for damages to the moved goods or premises, Mike instantly agreed to cover any and all potential damage caused by his crew. On the day of the move, the team of 4 movers led by Edgar worked steadily, meticulously, and without significant breaks for 8 hours in the August heat to package up the contents of an entire house and move it to storage. All small items were carefully boxed, the furniture was shrink-wrapped, and nothing was damaged moving from the house or to storage. read more

We called this firm to initial move some file cabinets in our office from one area to another - with very short notice. The cabinets were just too big for us to do ourselves. They showed up on time, finished quickly, were neat, well-groomed (I work in a law office so clients would be seeing them), and cleaned up after themselves. They would not leave until we were happy with how everything was placed. A week later, we needed to have office furniture moved and placed in storage, etc. They finished everything we needed to do in just over a hour! This enabled everyone to get back to work and have a productive day. I will use them every time we need anything like this. Wanted to let everyone know about an incredible moving experience we had a few days ago. As you all know the stress of moving due to all the moving pieces many things can go wrong. We used A Wise Move Inc from a recommendation of a friend. From the first call they simplified things giving a quote over the phone that day after we provided them a list of items along with some supporting photos. We where able to schedule the move within a matter of days with their guys arriving on time on moving day. These guys saved the day! I had booked with another company Trevino and I had a no call no show. Around noon I called 15 other moving companies and everybody was booked and not available till the next day( and pricey). I magically came across A wise move and Mike answered the phone. I asked if he had any availability yesterday and he told me his guys were doing a job but they can be there in a few hours I said hell yeah! He was so nice and so reassuring not to stress. Scheduled a move a month in advance. The 3 man crew got to work right away and did not slack one bit. Enjoyed my experience fully with them. Were able to move our 2 bedroom floor level apartment into a 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment with ease. Treated our items with care and used shrink wrap and moving blankets to ensure that everything stayed intact with our glass bookshelf, glass coffee table and more. Very quick and affordable. Called them up as i had a last minute situation where i had to move the contents of a 3 bedroom house into a storage unit. Spoke with Mike who provided what would be required in regard to number of movers to the number of hours it would take, etc. Day of move, the gentlemen showed up 5 minutes early and ready to go!! After a horrible experience with a recent move from New York to Arizona, in which almost every piece of furniture was damaged, I did a lot of research for my move from Fountain Hills to Gilbert. After a friends recommendation and a lot of research, I went with A Wise Move. They were great. They came in, went over our things and gave us an accurate estimate. I set up my move with Mike and he was super professional and accommodating. Also he texted me as soon as an earlier time was available which was very appreciated. Carlos, Andres, and Arturo did the move and they were friendly, quick, and efficient! Consistently asking where I wanted things to go and very respectful. The other great thing was what was quoted to me is EXACTLY what I paid. Not a bunch of runaround and hidden fees or any other sneaky BS. This review is a little late as we moved in 12 days ago, however, that does not diminish how impressed we are with A Wise Move. Mike (Ziad) was immediately responsive. His quotation was fair and Victor and his team showed up exactly as planned. Everything was executed in a timely fashion and nothing was broken. These movers are honest, flawless and extremely hard working and pleasant to work with. They take the stress out of what can be an extremely stressful experience. I can not say enough good about A Wise Move!! From dealing with Mike (who was VERY responsive to every means of communication!!! Call, text, email!!) to get the job secured to the group of men who arrived for my move, VERY IMPRESSED!! They disassembled what could be taken apart. Every square inch of my stuff was covered in cling wrap. They were cognizant of overhead light fixtures and ceiling fan!! And we're super professional, friendly & polite. This Moving Company (A Wise Move) is the BEST! The first moving company we called canceled on us. I called A Wise Move and Mike was able to get us scheduled next day. These guys are some of the best movers I have ever used. From the very start very responsive & informative. Also no hidden fees are charges in fact he rounded the hours down just to accommodate and make things right since his 3rd guy couldn't make it. they are great at moving your stuff and it all arriving undamaged! i personally was not happy that my large, sectional sofa wasnt plugged in, and also felt like the guys milked the clock a bit, with a lot of standing around in the truck, so for that its a 4/5 for me, but if those two things were different, this is probably the best moving company i've ever used. read more

Instead of explaining policies clearly, they implied I was trying to "cut corners," suggested waivers for damage caused by their process, and generally spoke to me like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Experience in an industry doesn't give you a free pass to be rude. There are plenty of movers who can protect furniture and communicate respectfully. I'd recommend choosing one of them. I'm updating my review after the owner's public response, which contains several inaccuracies and omits important context. Unfortunately, that response further demonstrates the exact issue I experienced: dismissive, defensive, and unprofessional communication. For clarity, this was a potential move within the same apartment complex, from one building to another. I reached out with questions about logistics and whether a truck was required for such a short relocation. At no point did I ask the company to arrive "unprepared," skip protective equipment, or endanger my belongings. I asked clarifying questions -- that's it. I was repeatedly told "yes" regarding bringing a truck, but instead of a clear, professional explanation, the responses quickly became condescending and assumptive. My intent was repeatedly mischaracterized as trying to "cut corners," lower costs improperly, or force unsafe practices, none of which I stated or implied. Those assumptions were made about me, not based on anything I requested. The tone of the messages escalated unnecessarily. I was spoken to as though I was being unreasonable for asking questions, and the conversation included sarcasm and "lol" responses. Regardless of how common a business practice may be, professionalism still matters -- especially in customer-facing communication at the very beginning of an interaction. Because of that tone, I decided not to move forward with this company. The job never progressed beyond messaging because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding. That decision was mine, based on how I was treated -- not because the company declined the job. After I left my one-star review reflecting that experience, the situation escalated further. The owner repeatedly contacted me through messages and then called me directly, despite no service ever being rendered and despite the matter already being over. I was then accused of trying to harm the company, questioned for having few prior reviews, and personally insulted by having my "ignorance" referenced. That continued contact and personal commentary was inappropriate and crossed a clear boundary. To be very clear: * This review is not retaliation for being refused service. * Reviews are not limited to completed jobs -- they also reflect customer interactions and professionalism. * I am not responsible for a business's "livelihood"; I am responsible for sharing an honest account of my experience. A company can have years of experience and prior positive reviews and still mishandle a situation. This review reflects my experience from start to finish, including the communication before any job was booked and the behavior afterward. Unfortunately, the owner's public response and continued contact only reinforced my original concerns. I stand by this review. I have also left documentation below.
