Today, we went back to our old house to clean. The fan upstairs, was wobbling. That never happened before. On closer inspection, a blade was missing. On moving day, there was a big crash but I didn't think anything of it as they were moving heavy stuff. Well, it looks like they moved a fan blade right off the fan. Ugh! Today, I was setting up my MIL's entertainment center and found gouges on the wood. The move was so unprofessional and there has been no follow up from Brian even though he said he would help me move the TV, mirror, and shelves they couldn't fit on the truck the day we moved. I've been thinking about this review for about a month now since we moved into our new home. The crew who came to the home worked really hard and were very polite and did most everything we asked. First, they brought a 26 foot trailer which if I had know this probably would not have hired them as they had to made 2 trips and luckily I had my 12 foot trailer and made 3 trips in it. I was under the impression we would have 26 foot or bigger Trucks, the 26 foot trailer can not hold as much as the truck. Second they damaged our wood floor where our pool table was put back together and on top of that there was debris under the felt and they had to come back and fix it after I bought the material and now the table and bumpers don't match as they didn't do the bumpers. Third, I asked them to put something down on the carpets as they were cleaned before we moved in. Anita said they would bring something and they did not put anything down and the carpets are filthy. Fourth, made some marks and damage on the walls moving things upstairs, this didn't bother me as much since we are having the whole interior of the home repainted to a color that different than plain White. J&J helped my family move at the beginning of September. Booking was very easy and the very nice women helped me schedule my move. It was pretty quick, I would say about 4 hours. I found J & J on yelp, after making arrangements with another company who never called us as they promised and after we called them, they never returned our call. When I spoke to Brian asking if they had anyone available for a move today or tomorrow, he hopped on the phone with me on another phone and started calling his guys. He found Marco who was willing to move us. Marco and his colleague showed up as promised the same day. Was able to pack everything in the truck in under an hour! They were efficient and friendly. These guys saved me when I realized days before moving cross country that I needed help. My husband and I rented a Uhaul to move from Phoenix to Minneapolis and were packing everything ourselves when, just days before we were scheduled to head out, I realized we had several large, fragile items that I didn't know how to pack. I started calling moving companies on Yelp just to have someone wrap my handful of fragile items. I picked J&J because of their great price and friendliness on the phone. I hired them on Wednesday to work Saturday - I am so lucky they were available on such short notice. They were communicative in the days before the move, calling to ask me to send photos of what they would be moving so they could plan. Four men showed up on Saturday: Brian, the owner; Anthony, who packed all of our fragile stuff; Randall, who handled paperwork and strategized packing into the Uhaul; and Mike, who mostly moved stuff from the house to the truck. They hit the ground running and I couldn't believe how fast they were. Initially I only wanted to hire them for the required minimum two hours but they were so fast that they packed all of my fragile stuff and most of my kitchen and loaded our entire 15-foot Uhaul in 2.5 hours. They did initially miss a few small items but I pointed it out and they happily moved some stuff around in the truck to make room. The owner Brian said he ran a moving business in San Francisco for 42 years and it shows - he was a total pro. They loaded that Uhaul like Tetris and I'm amazed they fit everything they did. I never could have done it myself; I would have had to leave whole furniture behind because I wouldn't have been able to load the truck that well. I waited to write this review until we unpacked in Minneapolis so I could see if they did a good job, and they did. The truck was loaded well and nothing is broken. One vintage item was bent but honestly that is probably my fault because I didn't ask them to wrap and pack it so it ended up in the truck unprotected. Overall I am very happy with the experience and I would recommend them. I was so deeply grateful they helped us on such short notice. It removed a lot of stress from our move. Had these guys do my move and they were sooo quick! They had five guys come over and they packed everything for us and moved everything to my new place. I really enjoyed their charisma and knowledge of moving stuff. They took extra care when it came to breakables and their office manager, Anita, was very pleasant on the phone. Brian and his team did an amazing job moving my household of 6 today, I am very pleased with how easy everything was from my end. They are professional, responsive and took a high level of care with all of my items. I had a budget and Brian worked with me to make sure my main needs were addressed, and went above and beyond with communication and execution. I hired a four man crew and they powered through my 5 bedroom house, working hard to meet my hour my deadline. They brought pads, wrapped everything, and took the time to pack everything very neatly maximizing the truck space to its full capacity. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to move and pack within the timeframe I needed. I had scheduled another moving company who backed out on me five days before I needed movers to come pack and move me. When I called Brian was very quick to offer assistance and put my mind at ease. I don't know how but somehow he was able to not only get me scheduled for packing but also moving services. The packing services weren't amazing but for a last minute solution worked. The moving took longer than expected so overall I ended up paying more than we had originally discussed. However, all that being said I did get moved and they did so in the heat to a 3rd floor apartment. The quality of packing wasn't what I would have expected; some boxes were packed well and labeled, others my stuff was just thrown in, and boxes not labeled. During the move the crew was good in taking direction but because not all boxes were labeled as they came in I had to open them in order to direct them. I removed a star because the total spend for this move was a bit pricey considering I only moved 5 miles, I still had to move some things myself after and unpacking has been hard given how poorly some boxes were packed. I would say hire this crew for moving because Brian and crew were great communicating during the move and helped me out in a pinch. If I were to do it again I would do the packing but that's not a slight against this team but preference and due to cost. Brian is one of those people who makes you feel like he'll take care of you and he will to the best of his ability. I'd recommend you call him for your move because he definitely knows how to get the job done! read more

From the moment I picked up the phone I spoke to them, I received a very fair estimate and the team was thorough and responsive. First off, let me say I did not have ample notice that I would be moving- less than a day. I had been preparing to homeschool my 5 children for the 4th year in a row. We have been in quarantine for months, and had tons of items I just didn't have time to sort or dismantle, desks and beds, my TV still mounted to the wall. I was not ready, but had to make short notice arrangements. By some matter of luck, I hired these guys through a third party. This was my first time having outside help to move, I was feeling very overwhelmed, but when I spoke with the owner of J & J Moving Experts, he put my anxious mind to rest. We set up the time for the guys that came out to help me move, and they did incredible. Even though I did my best to try packing up and organize all day, it still would have taken me days to get done what these guys did in a matter of hours. J&J did a great job with our move. Brian brought a big team out to move our 4 BR, 3 BR, 2900 sq ft house. They all worked really well together and were very friendly. Throughout the whole move they communicated with each other and us constantly to make sure everything ran smoothly. They were also super knowledgeable about pianos, which made me feel better about moving our baby grand to the new house. The whole move took 8.5 hours, which included 2 runs plus a quick trip to our storage unit.
