This month we needed someone to do a crosstown move for our son. Two Men's quote was extremely high so I researched a bit and found the stellar reviews of Just-In Time Moving. Since their quote was almost half the price (!) we decided to give them a try. You wonder if paying less means inferior service or other problems. That wasn't the case at all. Communication was great. Eric and Miguel showed up right on time (one of those dreadful 110° Phoenix heat advisory days) and worked quickly and carefully. We were very happy to have found this company and are pleased to say they'll be our local movers going forward.

I hired movers from this company who originally had a 2.0/5.0 rating. I had the worst experience. I…read morewas quoted $415 for a 2 bedroom with one bed, no dressers, the other room was used as an office. I was quoted a minimum of $415 which included 3 hours and a $40 surcharge. First, the owner never sent me a written quote. They were fast; however, one of the movers whose name was Miles, scared me by yelling to the top of his lungs out of frustration because he couldn't get the bed together because he had all of the screws tightened and anyone who puts together anything would know bit to tighten the screws all the way until those screws are in the correct holes and then you screw them in. I went in the room to give him that tip but was scared the entire time he was in my house due to his behavior. Then when they got done, the paperwork showed that I was being charged an extra hour of travel time when my move was less than 15 minutes apart and I was told that they needed to stop at Walmart to get T-shirts. I made the payment in full along with an additional $60 because I just believe in tipping and always have, besides the other guy was excellent. Great customer service and he was friendly the entire time. Any way, I went through the contract after they had left and noticed that there was nothing in the contract that stated that I would owe a 1 hour transportation fee now was I ever told this verbally. So, a day after the move, I sent the owner a message and he proceeded to go back and forth with me. However the most disturbing message was the one below verbatim: "I'm so sorry you're so broke that you can't pay the movers for a move that they did well for you. Send me your address. I'll bring you cash next week. I would love to meet you." This company is way to green and they need to learn some customer service skills before doing business with the public. I wouldn't recommend them at all.

His guys were polite, quick, and handled our items with care! They boxed our large TV, bagged out mattresses, and added extra protection to our dressers. We even had a few things that needed to go in the dumpster and they took care of that for us as well. The biggest thing was communication, Bobby was always available in case we had questions or needed details as this was our first time hiring movers. We treated our selves with a moving company so expected to pay a pretty penny but the price ended up being VERY reasonable for everything they offered. 10/10 would recommend!

In addition to their amazing services, I really love the company's mission, which made selecting John Volken Academy an easier decision. 100% worth the value! Short and sweet:…read more HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Great movers, great communicators, very accommodating, reasonably priced, and their mission is something to get behind!! The deets: Took me a minute to write this as I've been unpacking.. but couldn't keep my experience a secret because I want to see this business thrive!! I was probably one of the worst clients.. I called late to schedule, I asked to move our "move time" like 4 or more times.. my house was not as organized as I had hoped.. I almost forgot to tell them about a room until they were already almost half way done... ‍‍ never a frustrated peep coming out of them..instead they were nice, accommodating and super understanding. I'll spare the details for the changes.. moves are stressful enough, but they made it so easy!! The guys showed up right on time and even gave me a 15 minute courtesy call to let me know they were on their way! They move quick and when some embarrassing things happened (to me) they were kind and told me no need to apologize.. they were here to help me. Super reassuring considering the situation I was in! The weather wasn't the best and they protected my things.. wrapped dressers so the drawers didn't go flying.. put a moving blanket on the ground so things didn't get wet.. like I said, these movers were AWESOME! They help me set up my bedframe at my place and get things in quick.. even up flights of stairs! Was also super impressed they bring 3 guys to the job! I think that's what made it go so quick - great teamwork!! Was debating on whether to share: but it truly stands out on why you can TRUST this moving company: I had to dip out for an appointment and again.. SUPER accommodating! I'll spare the details.. but the point is, they will work with you! Don't know if they saw me as a problem child, but I wouldn't have known with how nice, efficient, and good at what they do!! The last thing I want to call out and another reason why you should definitely hire them: their mission!! I offered them something to drink.. energy drink??no ma'am, we don't drink that.. and shared how they came to be and what John Volken Ranch is doing for those that need help/guidance to thrive in the world. Teaches them hard work, team work, and how to live a clean/good life! I hired them because there are so many spammy companies out there and the reviews and the photos looked legit.. the cost helped too! What I didn't know was their mission and the difference they are making in these men's lives - it's AMAZING!! And if I can help get more people to use this company, then I'll feel like I've done some justice and hopefully reduced the pain I was for the move. Thanks guys! Wish I could remember their names (shaved blonde hair - ring leader and the MOST accommodating - thank you! Appreciate you telling me y'all's story.. Probably helped me from breaking down in tears; strawberry blonde, used to do tech/software - here if you have any questions! And the new guy.. didn't say much, but was super nice and a hard worker!) I requested a quote to relocate our office and was initially sent an estimate based on two hours of moving time with one truck. When I submitted everything for payment and was ready to sign the contract, the price suddenly increased to nearly THREE TIMES the original estimate. I spent the entire week going back and forth through email trying to get clear answers, only to be left without a mover and now behind schedule relocating our office. This was a business move with deadlines, and I relied on the information and scheduling they provided. The lack of communication, changing estimate, and missed appointment created an unnecessary mess for our office. They then said that even if it was approved, I "wouldn't be reimbursed much, only like $60 dollars, based on the $/lb rate." Thanks, I already knew the reimbursement rates were pathetic, that's not the point. Your company value of "customer-focused solutions" is literally worth less than $60. Your movers broke our stuff, hid all the evidence, and did not inform us of any damage. The claims department then strings us along for months saying they "will make it right", and, "someone will be in contact to fix this", only to play hard to catch, deny it and say it will stay denied, and then tell me it's not a big deal. My fault for believing the verbiage on your website. I thought the "professional movers" would at least be honest enough to speak up when they broke something and I didn't need to babysit or record them every step of the way. Also my fault for not making them unload furniture from the fully loaded truck when they finished; so I could climb in and inspect underneath every protective cover for evidence of damage intentionally hidden by the movers. Completely my fault. Thank you for your understanding of my situation. Good job on pretending to be helpful while saving your company $60 and costing me an extra $600.
