Let me start by saying, I cannot say enough positive words about David Garcia and his team. We had a few hiccups on our side of the move including needing to change the date 72 hrs out. What did David say, "absolutely! We are here for you". They arrived almost to the minute of the quoted time. They were conversational, friendly and all around wonderful people to have in my home. The other shining point is, no hidden fees. David quoted an hourly fee and that is what he charged. These guys were amazing! This was our first time hiring movers, so we didn't really know what to expect. Three men came with a 26' truck, they arrived on time, they wrapped every piece of furniture with plastic wrap, disassembled everything, packed the truck, met us at the new place, and reassembled everything back together again in our new home. I wish I could give Garcia movers the five stars that I gave them the first time I used them but I can't. The arrival time was supposed to be between 6 and 7 AM and they got to my condo at 8 AM. Off the bat, one of the workers looked very bothered and annoyed. He was not very pleasant to work with. It was brought to my attention that there was a minor fender bender on the way to my condo, which I could give them grace for but two of the employees had an altercation, and one of them had to be sent home. so the three man job ended up being a two-man job because two grown men could not get their act together long enough to get a job done. One of the guys said the 3 to 4 hour job was taking longer because they were down a man and for some reason I ended up paying for it. I did bring this up to David the owner's attention and he "adjusted" the price. He refunded me less than an hour of work. Mind you I had to step in and help these guys because they were clearly struggling. One of them was having a hard time, even lifting Some free weights that I had. In addition, the worker who was bothered and annoyed, was not as careful with my belongings as the first crew was the first time I hired them. A piece of equipment had broken off of my workout gear, and he just threw it on top of a pile. When I asked what the piece was from he didn't know. Then, I noticed something missing from another piece of workout equipment, and I asked him about it and he said oh I threw it in a box somewhere. He said it's in there somewhere. So, instead of bringing it to my attention so I could put the missing piece back where it belonged I will have to look through over 100 boxes for this one piece. He didn't have any regard for my personal belongings. The same guy is the owner's brother. Unfortunately, I will not be using Garcia movers again. The service is just not consistent and hit or miss. I can't risk hiring them and not getting the same level of service that I did the first time around. read more

They sent a truck too small for my belongings, broke a garage cabinet in two, damaged the weather stripping on my door, BROKE MY 72" FLAT SCREEN TV, charged me for 3 guys when only 2 were working, plugged my freezer full of food into an extension cord that wasn't plugged in. The worst part is when I called and spoke to the owner he completely blew me off and is still not answering my calls. Do not take a chance with these guys. The BEST movers I've ever used. I've moved 4 times in the past 6 years and have had really bad experiences in the past (camelback moving is horrible). These guys were so fast! Women BEWARE! This company tried to bully myself, my mother, and my niece into paying him without completing a job. Where do I start? I wish there were negative 15 stars to give a company. They showed up on time, so that was a plus, but that was THE ONLY POSITIVE thing I could say about this business. My sister passed away in June of this year, and I let the movers know that it was a tough time for my Mother and her daughter, who they would be moving into a new home out of the home they shared with her. From the beginning, the 3 movers moved slowly, picking up 1 or two boxes a time on a dolly, and had not touched the furniture after the first hour. They were only moving a 3 bedroom home, yet somehow they just seemed to have no real plan or were lacking efficiency. I asked one of the movers what there plan was, as we were edging into hour two, with no furniture loaded. He then went and brought in David where he began to tell me their way of business. When I stated I understood and just wanted to provide some feedback, he wanted to continue arguing. I asked him to please just make this easy for my family, and finish the job, and he agreed. However, the crew came to let me know they were ready to go, leaving multiple boxes and large items behind. When we left to go to the house, he got upset when I was unable to have him follow me due to the fact they were driving 15 mph, and they had already confirmed the new address with me twice. When he arrived, he advised me, he would NOT be finishing the job, because he was afraid for some reason, maybe my skin color, that I would not pay him. He told me if I didn't pay him $425 cash right then, he would not be giving me my things back. I could not NOT believe it. I told him I would not be paying until the job was completed per the hourly rate agreement. I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE!!!!! They came out and could not believe how ridiculous the movers were being. The officer directly said "why in the world would you pay him if he wasn't finished?!". They wasted an hour, were told they absolutely could not hold my property, and were forced to unload the truck in the most uncomfortable, awkward, unsafe feeling situations. I truly can't believe the nerve of this guy, and how he would try to bully a female customer, with 3 men surrounding me, to pay before completed! BUYER BEWARE! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. If I could give negative stars, I would. I had them do a move for me back in October, and it was the worst experience I could have imagined. During the course of my time dealing with this company they made snide remarks about my mother, screamed in my mother's face, damaged my furniture, lied to me, and tried to cheat me because of their mistakes. The movers were unprofessional and rude. They spent the entire day telling me that "they are professionals, and they know what they're doing." However, their actions where anything but professional. Right off the bat, the movers showed up 30 minutes late. Then, at the start of the move, I was offered the option to shrink wrap my furniture, and I left that up to the movers because "they're the professionals and they know what they're doing." They made the professional decision to not to protect my furniture in any way, and then ended up damaging a brand new leather couch and a dresser. After damaging the furniture, they claimed that it was already like that when they picked it up. But then after claiming that the couch was "already damaged," they admitted that it was scraped against the stucco outside while they were moving it. In terms of the dresser, we heard it scrape against the ground and watched the leg fall off of it. This clearly proves that it was damaged by them. However, they still tried to say that they didn't do it. After very clearly damaging the furniture they lied and tried to hide it. At the end of the move, we asked very calmly about receiving compensation for the damage to the furniture to pay for repairs, and the team lead yelled in my mother's face and told her she "could move the couch herself and see how she does." He continued to yell at her for quite some time, raising his voice and getting in her face. After this, I called the owner multiple times and received no call back. Four days later I finally got in touch with him, and he claims that he didn't call me back because he thought I was lying. He said that his team lead told him what happened, and he didn't see any issues with the story he was given, so he didn't feel the need to call me back. He said that his worker is telling a different story than I am (no duh). His worker claims that I "refused shrink wrap" and therefore none of the damage is his fault and claims that he never exhibited any unprofessional behavior. Then when asked about compensation for the damaged couch, the owner gave me his word that he would pay a minimum of half, if not more, of the repair costs. Then he went back on his word and only offered me 1/4 of the total cost of the repair. He claims that he never said he would pay half of the cost (even though I have proof that he did) and lied to me multiple times. After that he came up with some flimsy excuse to hang up on me. I sent emails to the company multiple times inquiring about receiving this payment. They claim that they "didn't know the address to send the check to" even though they have my mailing address in their system because THEY MOVED ME IN. I waited months and months for this check in the mail which has *allegedly* "been sent." But it's almost April now, and I never received anything. At this point don't believe I ever will. Overall, this experience is what I paid for. They're the cheapest in town for a reason. This business is shady, rude, unprofessional, and operating under deceitful management. They don't respect your belongings, don't value professionalism, and they turn a blind eye to clear mistakes and wrongdoings. read more
