Quoted me almost $1400 , 3 movers, 6.5 hrs to move about 14 pieces of big furniture. The person quoting me didn't listen and tried to upsell me on moving the whole house, which I didn't need and expressed multiple times. Then told me there's a 3.9% fee if I use a card, but then could magically wave it if I booked now. Felt like a complete scam. Just had another company come move my big furniture with TWO movers and was done in 2.5 hrs and I was charged less than half. Highly recommend getting other quotes before going with company. They realized the issue and did everything they could to address.... Even more than I expected. The team was awesome. They worked their butts off and kept me informed of everything along the way. I recently moved from a third story apartment to a home and needed some help with the heavy lifting - especially with no elevator. I requested quotes from about 5 different moving companies. I was originally leaning towards another company that also had great reviews, but the quote they provided was a flat rate for 3 hour minimum and I knew it wouldn't take that long. Gilbert moving provided a quote of $119/hr and a 2 hour minimum with a small Yelp discount taken off the truck fee. It wasn't the cheapest quote nor the most expensive, but I decided to give them a call based on the positive reviews and the fact that the communication was detailed and informative - especially calling out specifically that they saran wrap and pad all furniture being moved. I called to book an appointment 2 weeks in advance and there was no hassle there. The quote went up to $159/hr because being a third story apartment, they would need 3 movers instead of the default of 2. I was prepared for that and from my understanding all other reputable moving companies require 3 movers when moving multiple floors with no elevator. The day of the move, CJ, Louis, and Junior arrived at a punctual time and got right to work. All wearing masks when they were inside. They made very quick work of the move and handled my stuff very carefully. I didn't have any scratched furniture or buffs on the walls after it was done. Pro wrestler Charles P Thompson would approve. The move was finished at 2 hours on the dot. I was very appreciative that CJ stopped the clock and had me sign at the 2 hour mark, despite having to finish up a few things to avoid me having to pay extra if the time ended up at 2 hours 5 minutes or something. Really great commitment to getting the job done while keeping track of the time, and not dragging it out to make me pay more or anything. Anyway, there are a lot of moving companies around and it's hard to choose one. I would recommend Gilbert Moving and will use them again if I need to move in the future. read more

GMS was absolutely fantastic through our entire move process. The bid process was easy and the price quoted by GMS was better than the rest. THat and the many positive reviews already in place made the decision an easy one. Jacob, our liaison through the process, was very informative, friendly, and was very willing to assist when issues arose; we were forced to do a last-minute reschedule but he and the staff at GMS worked with me to make it happen. Then there was an issue with the timing on the billing with they fixed and refunded for me. They even moved my move date to a Sunday with no issues or fees. The move itself was great. Service was decent and the moving employees were great. We actually had them move 2 houses a day apart. Unfortunately, the moving truck hit my vehicle and cost several thousand in damage. They wouldn't pay for anything. Then found out they do not have insurance. Avoid them. It's such a shame. Isn't it illegal to NOT have insurance? So disappointing. read more

I used this company back in January to move from Tempe to Mesa and they were excellent! Very nice and reliable people, and professional too. I have moved many times in the past and this is far most the best company ! Three men came in, unfortunately I can't remember their names but two of them were very fast n efficient. I think it was Justin, Eric and ... oh I can't remember. But the move was done in the last week of January. I really wanted to appreciate each one of them. Now we are having to move again so I wanted to use this same company but unfortunately this time I had my interaction with Tammie and she kind of messed things up. So I asked to speak to the manager, David. He tried his best to help us out. First of all I was quoted for $739 on Friday but now they were asking for $793! Which I didn't understand why. Then I wanted to move on 4/16 but Tammie never asked for a deposit on Friday otherwise I would have given her the deposit so I could have locked the date. Now they don't have that date available. So now unfortunately my husband has decided to go with another company. If only I could be honored the quote I was given on Friday of $739 by Tammie for the move on 4/16 I would definitely persuade my husband to go with this company. So I just got off the phone with David the manager. He was so nice and understanding. He honored me the quote that I was given on Friday by Tammie of $739. I have to admit these people do have a heart and they are very considerate, helpful and understanding. They really go out of their way to help and make sure that their customers are very happy and satisfied. Tammie is new and hey we all are humans after all.
