There is very little in adult life more horrible than moving...maybe just buying a car. I have been dreading this move for months because i have so much freaking stuff! I originally ordered their 2-person, 1-truck arrangement but then called back and got the 4-person, 2 trucks. Glad I did (man, I have a lot of stuff). Anyway, they were prompt, courteous, friendly, and did an absolutely AMAZING job!! 4 storage units and 8 hours later (told you i had a lot of stuff), they had taken literally only 2 breaks which were 5-10 minutes max. The guys worked so hard and were great at their job. We really appreciated their help and hard work. My only complaints are: 1. I found a gash in the bedroom wall from them bringing in something. I know it wasn't there before because I just painted the wall the day before. And no one told me, I saw it after they left. 2. There was a big wall clock I love with a swinging pendulum that I put in storage myself so I know it was there, but when they unloaded the pendulum was missing and they had no idea where it was. 3. Two frames were broken, one a rare frame. I know in a move things break but they didn't seem bothered by it at all, even when I was clearly heartbroken. 4. I asked when booking if they will put stuff together and was told yes. But found out moving day it's yes only if they took it apart. And that there are some things they cannot move such as pavers. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. 5. Lastly, two of the guys were great at stacking things up to make the most of the room and really tried to put boxes in the rooms we requested, but the other two just put things wherever instead of making the most of the space. And each time I asked one kid to put something in the dining room he put it in the living room, and anything that went in master closet he just dropped in the master (found at the end it was because he didn't see the walk in closet around the corner, he thought there was no closet). But for the most part it was a positive experience and I definitely felt they were pushing and working hard. Some moving companies that charge by the hour move slow to get the most money out of you, but I can't say enough about how hard they worked to get it done! I would recommend them, but do recommend to the company to give the customer all information up front about what you can and cannot do. Thanks again for all your help! read more

Kevin, Eddy and Joe were fantastic. As soon as they got to the house they were ready to work. They took excellent care of our furniture and made sure not to damage anything. They were even faster on the unload. Putting everything in their assigned rooms and areas. I could not ask for better help. These guys were polite and courteous, interacted with the kids and kept things lite. Also....we are so grateful for the admins as well. Natalie knew we were very tight on our budget. Got a few quotes to move household locally in Phx, and had good quote with responsive office help but the move took hours longer and cost much more than expected. Only 2 of 3 movers showed up each day, so took longer than it should have which screwed up my schedule. They had 2 more movers with another truck help near the end. The movers were polite and mostly professional-- and apologetic for the delays and issues. The first movers didn't have their own tools and had to borrow mine, that wasn't professional. Most things made the move fine, but several boxes weren't labeled or labeled incorrectly, which complicated the unpacking. I provided nearly all of my own boxes and tape. I packed about 20% of my house into a POD myself to declutter the house for listing and to make the bigger move easier, and it still took longer and cost more than expected. read more

I called around for a few quotes and everyone quoted me with a 3 hour minimum. I KNEW it would not take 3 hours to move what we needed. The person who helped me on the phone was very nice, listened to my concerns and agreed on 2 hours and understandably, charging if we went over. She even said they wouldn't charge for time not used! (No place offered that as an option). Movers came on time, we're efficient, considerate and got it done in under 2 hours. Also, they pointed each time they saw something broken to confirm we knew. They used logic - the young one from Sat confirmed to NOT put a wedding dress in storage - that would have made the 2020 wedding awkward! And the multiple, hey - i think this is trash - ok? I mean really! I have known movers to actually pack the trash can with trash in it. They were not afraid to ask questions. They were not afraid to have me remind them of this/that/the other. These dudes put my Tetris to game to shame when I saw how they first packed their truck with my furniture but then packed my furniture into my storage unit. Wow! Where do I begin to rate this company. I had a 5BDR house that I needed to fit into my PODS containers and I asked multiple moving companies for quotes. Gilbert Moving and Storage was the only company that sent someone to my house to actually take inventory of what I had. And that meant a lot to me because not only did they offer a personal experience, but they wanted to make sure they gave an accurate estimate. All of the other companies just gave a quote over the phone. Jesse, the owner, was very thorough when he arrived to assess what we had and provided a reasonable quote in an efficient manner. Fast forward to a couple of weeks, he had his wife and 4 movers show up to pack all of my stuff and load it into the containers. I was a little worried I wouldn't have room, but the master loader, Manny, was a Tetris genius! He not only fit all my stuff in 2 PODS, but we had room left over too! Sandra, Jesse's wife, was great at packing with utmost care while the movers (Kevin, Eric and CJ) were very professional and kind. They worked extremely hard while ensuring our stuff was packed carefully. These guys even helped haul away some heavy items for donations as well as a piano to a friend's house for a very nominal fee. The whole process was fantastic and I would use them again, hands down! I received estimates and updates on the package I chose from from the first day up through a few days prior to my move so there were no surprises.
