I spoke with Nate, the owner, a few weeks ago to book a date to move, but decided a week before the move to go a different route and buy all new furniture and have it delivered. I called Nate to ask if it was possible to cancel the move because it was within the seven day cancellation requirement to get the deposit refunded but after 8 AM when I had booked it a few weeks ago. He graciously gave me a few hours to make a final decision and refunded my deposit with no questions asked. That is outstanding customer service and needs to be recognized!! I used AB movers back in march again for a move, and before I settled in I had to leave out of the country for work and I just got back and plugged in one of my tvs and of course it's damaged. These particular movers didn't wrap any of my things and you better believe the move cost me over $300 when that tv alone was $700. Oh and "they put my bed together" and as soon as I sat my 126lb self on it it collapsed to the floor! Horrible experience through and through. 0/10 recommend unless you have a man by your side because they will take advantage of you as a woman and damage your things. I was thankful to find movers in the summer in the Phoenix area. Kudos to everyone who puts themselves outdoors to work during these months of the year. The pricing for a 2-person crew plus trip charge was very competitive against others I interviewed (YES, interviewed. Our personal belongings mean a lot to us and we want them taken care of!) Setting the appointment was seamless. I was confirmed a deposit had been received, and my appointment was set very quickly. The day of the appointment, I was contacted to let me know the movers were running about one hour late. No problem, I continued to prepare as much as possible. When they arrived, admittedly, they were tired, and it was only two of them and it was very hot. Once we found our flow to get things moving and secured in the truck as best as possible, we continued on to the new location to unload. Everything went smoothly for the most part. For the parts that didn't go quite smoothly, my reach out to the office manager for assistance was met with support, understanding, and an action plan to wrap things up. I moved within my complex to a new unit and A to B movers helped make it possible. They came within the time frame and were able to move everything in 2 hours. My only complaint is that one of the workers kept leaving to smoke. My couch was the last thing they moved and unfortunately, we had trouble getting it in through the door. We had it sitting out on the porch as we tried to figure out what to do when one of the movers said we would try again when the other mover came back. At this point, we were nearing our 2 hours and my couch was sitting outside so I felt like walking away for a smoke break at that point was inappropriate. A To B Movers helped make my recent move my most stress-free move. After my original movers fell through, I was frantic looking for any moving company that had that time slot for that day. Nate, the owner, called me quickly to book the appointment. I was told they would be there at 2 pm or within 10 minutes but arrived a bit after that. I purposely give myself a buffer because I know how moving can be - hard to predict how long it can take. Just be mindful about really tight schedules or make sure they guarantee they'll arrive on the dot. John and James arrived at 2:47 and I let them know what needed to be moved, what not to touch, what needed to be wrapped, etc. They were a great team. Things I liked: Fast: Holy batman, I have never seen boxes go down 3 flights of stairs in a more efficient manner. Granted I did not have much to move but they were able to finish the job in 1 hour and 36 minutes and my new apartment was 10 mins away. They do have a 2 hour minimum. Careful: I was so nervous about my couch or anything fabric going down my apartment staircase because it's so dusty. I told them to wrap up my couch which they did a fantastic job of. I think I walked by my wrapped couch and said "Wow.." lol. They even wrapped up items I didn't tell them to but in retrospect was best that they did. None of my belongings arrived damaged including my flat screen tv. I took my pc and monitors in my own car. Followed instructions: Once I explained to them what I needed, I never had to say it again but they would always confirm with me before doing any task. Friendly: They were really polite, friendly and fun to talk to and made the move a lot less stressful for me. If you could book John and James, I would. Convenient: Once I paid the deposit, they were able to charge my card for the remainder including tip. I wasn't able to make it to the bank that day because of how hectic it was and this made things much easier. They are able to take cash, the credit card on file or a new credit card at the end of your move. Nate checked in with me after the move via Yelp to see how it was. He was also available when I called during the move for any reason. As with any moving company, damage and bad experiences do exist so by no means does my good experience with them guarantee these things won't happen to you. The two men he sent out were very efficient, fast workers, and tried not to damage anything, they were friendly as well. Wow... just wow. My husband and I hired A to B for a move that I had quite frankly been dreading. Our movers were John and Glover! We had boxes and things what felt like everywhere - in fact, when they showed how legend has it we were still in fact packing! They were prompt (arrived right on time, not a second late), they helped packed loose items, wrapped them carefully and were swift to load. As someone who is very particular about my items, them so carefully packaged items in the truck and were strategic about placing items. They moved QUICK - they were moving at every second and hardly stopped (and only stopped to ask questions about items, etc). For a two man crew, they got the job done quicker than I could've imagined. They had no issue finding our houses (most people do) and were friendly to all of us in the home. They were so thankful for small items (waters, etc) and were professional with each interaction. I booked A to B on a whim after cancelling the previous movers we had due to lack of professionalism. It was so easy to book and I didn't have to sit and list every single item we had in our home. We simply answered a few yes or no questions regarding items of certain sizes and we were booked! It was truly such a great experience and we stopped at every point to just say "wow, they're so good." This company came through for me when a different company I hired fell through. They got me schedule for the very next day. They are reliable, professional and affordable. They are actually cheaper than other companies however they will not pack anything that may be left laying around and when I asked if they would take my TV's and lamps that I didn't have a big enough box for, I was told they wouldn't. (I've used other companies that have taken them) Having said that, it depends on what is important to you. I don't mind saving money and having to take a few things over to my new place myself. They called 20 minutes ahead of time to let me know they were on their way. Showed up when they said they would and got right to work. The two movers were professional but I would advise them to be more careful with the furniture. I know they were tired and it's a difficult job but they did bang a few pieces of my furniture on the door getting inside. Just a few little nicks. I hired A To B Movers for a small, 2-block move I made recently, and I am very glad I did! I had never hired movers before, but all I have heard is horror stories, so I vetted a LOT of different companies before landing on them. They were far and away the most affordable, and I ended up paying exactly what I was quoted by the owner when I made my initial inquiry. My couch couldn't fit through my door and they even removed the legs off of it (while stuck in my hallway) and ensured it got set up as I wanted it. You get what you pay for! They were inexpensive and available at the time I needed but if I could do it again I would've moved everything myself. Two guys showed up in a uhaul with no tools and managed to break a $1000 TV that I owned for less than six months. The kicker was that they placed it facing a wall with a large piece of furniture boxing it in so I wasn't able to inspect it.
