TL:DR - Dose was great from start to finish. The person providing my quote was patient, friendly, and not pushy. She seemed to genuinely want what was best for me and my family. Communication throughout was great and easy. Day of movers were Eric and Terrell. Both were super friendly and efficient. They did go over the estimated time (2hr vs. 4.5 hrs), but I believe this was mainly due to the length of my building adding time between loads. Items were packed well in the truck with no noticeable movement. While not all the items arrived in 100% pristine shape, it was reasonable given the process that is moving. Very happy with the experience. ----------------------------------------------------------- Had a great experience with Dose from start to finish. I was looking for loading services only. Needed someone to load our packed boxes and then wrap and move our larger furniture items. Dose wasn't the cheapest, but their prices were on the lower end, had availability, and the person I was speaking to on the phone was very patient and informative when I had questions. Never pushy. I asked about furniture pads and she gave us their price but was also nice and suggested it may be cheaper to get our own online. We got quoted an 8-8:30am arrival time and paid a deposit. We got a few very helpful reminder texts and communication with Dose was great overall. A few days before moving day, they did ask if we could reschedule to a later time due to staffing issues, I said I could not, and they were very nice about it and kept my original time. Movers arrived at 8:30. Eric and Terrell helped us move and they were super efficient and a pleasure. We did originally get quoted 2 hrs and assured it would be an easy job, but it did end up taking about 4.5 hrs. I chalk this up to mostly our apartment complex being a block long from our unit to the truck, but the guys were champs, didn't complain, were nice about it the whole time. Eric also provided some tools to breakdown our baby crib as it wouldn't fit through the door put together, and my tools were packed. Eric did an amazing job arranging everything in my uhaul and strapping stuff down. Literally nothing moved or shifted after my 12 hr trip out of the city. I will say a few of our items did not arrive pristine (but 98% of our items did), but after having moved 3 times in the past 6 years, you have to have realistic expectations about stuff like this. Moving efficiently and quickly is hard work, loading and securing things is not easy either. things are going to get nicked. It's different if movers are being negligent, but Eric and Terrell were great and I'm happy they helped us move. All in all, I'm super happy with my experience with Dose. read more

The reason the review was written is I cannot shake the way I was talked to and the way the situation was handled by the manager guy (can't remember his name) after the problem with the movers. I also see that many responses in here mention 10 years with the same ownership. I think if the new owners were as great as you mention, they would have contacted me regarding my concern during the move (which I requested from the manager guy that they contact me or for me to have their contact info and he refused). Thank you again to you Elwon for your personalized help. Review: Terrible customer service. They send kids to move you. The manager is very unprofessional. I had to threaten contacting the BBB and disputing the moving charge in order to get all my items. I was accused of lying and saying things I didn't say about items that needed moved by the lead mover and the manager. Don't read the owner responses about how they are privately owned and ran for 10 years. That's why I hired them. I was told by the only helpful employee that ownership changed a year ago. Also, I have my receipt I will post if management responds that I have the wrong company to pretend this review isn't really for them. Dose sent three guys to move my 3 bedroom apartment into a house. The three guys were very professional and nice. They did a great job of making sure everything was handled with care by taking the time to wrap all furniture and tvs. They were gentle with my furniture anytime they moved it ensuring that I had no broken furniture legs or nicks. I contracted with Dose Moving to relocate our furniture from Scottsdale to East Mesa. Greg was the crew leader and from the get-go the crew was 100% polite. I was apprehensive based upon experience with a previous mover that was less than careful. I was so impressed that Dose used a moving blanket on each piece of furniture, then plastic wrapped and taped it. We had some collectible Indian art that is very delicate. They double wrapped it and were extra careful. Our previous mover gouged us for one hour to, and one hour from, travel time, PLUS added a 16% fuel surcharge. Dose did not add fuel surcharge and was much more reasonable in overall expense. I felt I received a very good value. Honestly I would highly recommend Dose to anyone needing a mover. We have used Dose a couple of times to have furniture shipped to Phoenix. Working with Carrie at the warehouse has been awesome, she's always answers the phone and is super, super helpful. We love her. Never had any issues going to the warehouse to pick up our deliveries. Never had to wait, furniture is always ready. I got an email confirmation the day before to confirm the details, The moving crew: Victor, Jay, and Matt also called me 30 minutes out to let me know they were on their way. They are a decent moving service. I asked for packing moving and unpacking. I cancelled the unpacking mostly because I realized it was better to unpack myself at my own convenience. There was damage to a bed post. They did not fuss over the claim. I didn't get the value back on the claim from their insurance. The best aspect was the personal visit to give you an accurate quote. The least favorite aspect was the damage to the bed post. Without that, good experience overall. read more

This review is NOT about the guys that actually showed up for the move. I ordered 3 movers and a truck for $155 a hour. I ended up getting 2 movers for $135. I guess one of them had an emergency. But no back up person? This ended up costing me about $100 more because it took so much longer to move things down a flight of stairs. UPDATE: Dose moving called me after I made the initial review and made things right. They did state that they don't hire extra movers to be on stand by. Also they did provide me with a slight refund. I have used Dose Moving twice in the past year, and am finally managing to share my great experience here. 1st move in May 2018: Victor, Cameron, and Payton moved me from a house into a dreaded 3rd floor apartment. They did an amazing job of following my instructions as to which items were moving and which weren't (NOT an ideal moving scenario; I know) and took incredibly great care of my things (far better care than I take of my own things). Great experience making a very stressful move a thousand times easier. 2nd move in January 2019: Tanner, Greg, and Zach moved me from the dreaded 3rd floor apartment into a 3-story place with kinda twisty/turn-y indoor stairs. Again, they took amazing care of all of my stuff, and even moved my plants (in plastic containers, but fairly big ones) which saved me a hassle. Again, they were delightful and made a potentially stressful day a good one. Pricing - I got quotes from several moving companies and found Dose to be the most reasonable. I pulled quotes from about 4 different moving companies and Dose was by far the cheapest. Thankfully, that doesn't mean they skimp on quality because our move was perfect! The moving crew was 15 minutes early and had our 3 story condo packed and moved into our new house in less than 2 hours. I love that every time I have called I have spoken to the owner. The three young men that showed up were courteous, professional and efficient at moving our items out of our high rise apartment. I have a few large framed art pieces that I was concerned about but they used blankets and a ton of plastic wrap on both pictures and furniture to ensure it wasn't harmed. I love that they loaded our stuff and took it directly to storage and we didn't have to follow them over there (we are living in our furnished vacation rental until our house is finished being built). Honestly, the staff seemed great at first. They are expensive in comparison per hour but no "trip fee." Although this review is almost 2 months old I have tried to calm down from the experience. I must have called to ask questions several times 3 or 4. The last time, the receptionist just treated me poorly. I was told they had storage and I could use them instead of uhaul. It was not until several questions they told me you can store but you have no access to the stored stuff unless you pay a fee every time and it was hefty 45 or 55 dollars!! Just did not seem trust worthy. Would have given them a two or three star based on ride interactions, the zero is due to what I perceive as a lie through lack of disclosure. Team 6 moved me without problems disclosed all costs ahead but I also asked. By the way notice so many non customer reviews, I will report to yelp! Fake reviews are not okay! Also they will fight anyone that has posted negative reviews very unprofessional! They are not restoring faith just arguing it's never their fault You can see from MaryLee response there is always an excuse. By the way MaryLee it was you who treated me poorly. Next time "disclose" your "fees" and not "compare" your self to "other storage facilities". Please don't try to make the client feel stupid by using quotation marks. Dose just moved our 4500 sq ft house from N. Scottsdale to Fountain Hills. We have custom made furniture and glass fine art pieces. Dose was fantastic; best packers and movers we've ever used. Terry, Bertha and George, in addition to being delightfully friendly and professional, packed the entire house, including all our art, so fast! And, we've just finished unpacking all the art, glassware, dinnerware and barware; absolutely everything was packed well and nothing was broken. The next day, the movers arrived. Jonathan, Nick, Luis, and the other 4 guys arrived on time and got right to work. Like the packers, they were all polite and professional. We were so impressed with how hard they all worked; they all looked like they knew what to do and were working to get it done quickly. I could ask any of them questions, and they all took the time to answer. Not one of them told me they didn't know or I should ask someone else. When we arrived at the new house, they unloaded incredibly fast, but took all the time we needed to place furniture. In fact, they moved several items multiple times as I changed my mind, always patient and pleasant as if they had all the time in the world. The total for the move was under the quote, and worth every penny. Finally, Dose loaded up a bunch of furniture we no longer wanted and took it to donation centers for us. One extra star given for the young moving crew themselves, who were polite, pleasant, and did a lot of heavy lifting on a hot day. Aside from that, we had serious problems with our local move. The company underestimated the amount of truck space that would be necessary to move a four bedroom house - requiring us to request a second truck in the early afternoon and delaying the completion of the 9:00 am start, ten mile move until well after 9:00 pm. The Dose policy of disassembling glass furniture to reduce the risk of breakage apparently does not include correct re-assembly, as we now have no fewer than four pieces of furniture in our house that need to be disassembled again and put back together correctly by someone who knows how to do it. Some of these pieces were small enough to have been transported separately in my car had I known we were going to lose the use of them indefinitely. Minor damage was done to several items in spite of the company policy - probably because they felt they had to rush at the end. My conclusion is that Dose is probably OK for moving one/two bedroom apartments, but they lack the skill and equipment to handle bigger moves. We wish we had gone with a major moving company instead - the cost savings was not worth it. read more

The movers, Devon, Max and Jim, did an excellent job of carefully packing my belongings into the truck, and even helped me disassemble a home gym that was very heavy. I had previously used Dose three times before this last move. I decided to use them one more time to move my things into storage while our house was being built. We specifically requested a box for our 75" Tv that cost $3000. When the movers arrived they had not brought a box and just wrapped it in a blanket. We watched them load it and assumed it would be ok. They stored our furniture for 6 months, which was expensive as well When our furniture was delivered the tv was totally trashed. After filing a claim with Dose we got a whole $57 in compensation A total insult. I would never recommend them again. read more

To my surprise, they called another crew over that finished early and got my whole house moved in twice as fast. And they never even asked for a dime for the extra assistance.
