* REVISED* DOSE & Marilee just got the 5th star, in my book. Been a LOT of complicated changes in plans, just wanted to check in with them, make sure I was on the 'docket' for 7/3. (Marilee replied immediately, said "No you're not, but you are now, 9am or 12pm." My very first thought, ohh does that help stress levels so I thought, can't hurt to ask, so I replied back asking if there was ANY chance I could "request" Eric, who had already two visits to help. The last time, he and another (I can't remember his name) came by NOT TO pack, but to move furniture that I couldn't move, even if I was healthy) by noon on their 2nd visit one half of the garage had been packed like a moving truck. After today's exchange with DOSE's owner, Marilee, I cannot deny DOSE of the 5th FULL star, they have earned it and deserve it. PERIOD! They are one of the nicest most genuine, helpful, hard working, friendly, professional and accommodating company's AND people, from the top down. I've been blessed, my whole career from 1976 -2016, (US DOD, GE corporate, IBM) I've been a direct report to Jack Welch & Sam Palmisano, two quite savvy and respected CEO's. Of ALL the wisdom they taught me, one 'lesson' has always guided me. Building and instilling a culture can only be truly successful if that culture starts at the top. DOSE & owner Marilee, has very successfully, instilled her 'desired culture' of very positive, customer-centric values throughout the company. That, TO ME, spells, Reliability, Integrity, Customer-centric focus. That is, in my personal opinion, the best possible 'mindset' for a service based business. I think it's also why so many services based companies struggle and/or fail. In my 43 year career, I have never seen a success story, in service providers, that didnt put the "customer" before all else. TOP priority, is that customer-centric mantra. I, personally don't think you can build, or instill, a 'desired culture' unless that 'desired culture' starts at the top. For DOSE, the owner, Marilee, has done just that. It works and it leaves a customer feeling like SHE/HE got very personal attention. WHICH THEY DID GET. That was and is absolutely the case for me. Every time I've had an exchange (call, email, text) with anyone from DOSE, my 'take away' is a genuine feeling that I don't have to worry or get stressed out, over a move, which honestly is not something that, I think, anyone likes to do. It is in the top 5 of 'stress inducers' (below Money and above 'family') in individuals You're NOT just a number or a "move" to DOSE, they actually DO CARE. They get how stressful it can be and they don't just make it a little easier, they make it "our" move, not "your" move and that's not any "slogan", it's literally who they are as people. Personally I wouldn't hesitate a millisecond to have DOSE, Pack, Move, Load, Unload, you are in charge and the two folks that packed me up were two of the nicest people, genuinely nice, personable and one of my packers was primarily a mover, I don't know if that's SOP for DOSE but it's a great idea, when move time comes, they know what's in store for the move part. (very subtle and VERY SMART, in my opinion) DOSE far exceeded any expectations I had. They set the bar very high, not only for others, for themselves, as well. They are far more than just a moving business. You're going to get people who 'get it'. They do understand how stressful a move is, that was very apparent within the first 15 minutes, in my case. Every person I spoke with, emailed, texted and/or met, are professionals, genuinely good people and great at their job, (part of that job is making sure the customers are "insulated' from any stress or anxiety. (In my personal opinion, that 'insulation' isn't something that can be taught, I think it's 'criteria' that's looked for, in 'employee candidates' then, maybe, it is continually reinforced, on the job. From planning, packing, moving, unpacking, they are professionals with a very personal touch, giving you the "Warm Fuzzies". The two folks who packed (Terry & Eric) came and took over, As soon as they got here and I'd kind of walked thru, they just took over and said you sit down rest we got this. (they did and they do), absolutely stellar great people, kind, understanding, could NOT MAKE IT ANY EASIER on this old man. (I had actually sent a note, to Marilee (owner), two days before and I told her I had a really gone with my "gut" feeling that they were the right people. This old man's 'gut instinct' was and is NEVER wrong. DOSE just proved that, yet again, I was correct. Just had the best mover help ever! From scheduling, communication to moving day - it could not have gone better !! Our team, Steven, Brian, and Cornelio worked above and beyond, working quick but taking extra care to protect our furnishings with wrapping/padding, and also moving things though the home(s) on both ends of the move so as to avoid damaging walls etc. They were great about asking where to place things and even move things around to my requests, and also put furniture that had to be taken apart for the move back together so things were left easy for me to deal with. I really appreciated their friendly and confident manner to ensure things went well. I would definitely use them again - but hopefully will not be moving any time soon... read more

I have used Dose Movers four times in the past and they started off good but got progressively worse; to the point that I will never use them again. They started sending young guys probably in their early 20's with no respect for my property. The last move I asked for additional insurance for my belongings, the young kid in charge said it was too late I had to arrange it prior with the office. I asked that he be careful especially with my brand new 65" tv. Well this didn't work out so well they ended up taking my tv stand off in order for it to fit on the truck they did wrap it well but when they set it in the new house they set it on the tv stand using only one of four screws which they failed to tighten. When the cable guy came to install cable he barely touched the tv and bang it fell off the stand and was smashed beyond repair. To add insult to injury they gave me $34.90 toward replacement of a $1200 tv. No apologies no acceptance of responsibility. This was just plain negligence. I work for an airline that hires and relocated thousands of agents. I will NEVER recommend Dose to anyone. They also locked my tool chest and locked the key claiming that they don't touch keys. Dose I'm over you. Never again So why didn't you offer the insurance when move was booked. No mention of it on your end. And still no apology. read more

I would have given this company a 5 if they did not show up a half hour late to the move ( yes I know it was due to an traffic accident but it still doesn't replace the half hour of my day I wasted). The crew (Tanner and Greg) was really nice and did a great job protecting my furniture. They also were quick and efficient while moving. We were in our home for 17 years 2300 ft.² from beginning to end the crew was totally professional never stopped once and did it all within approximately seven hours. I can't rate this company high enough. Every step of what can be a very stressful process was smoothed by excellent communication, patience, honesty and hard work. It started with Carrie in the office to get a quote that was very reasonable and stayed consistent. She was very responsive throughout everything, and there were no "surprises" as you often hear about with other moving companies. In fact, after two of the crew members called in sick, the hourly rate was reduced and the final bill was less than the original quote. We had waaay more stuff than they anticipated and Carrie was very flexible in how we could get it all done. Then, the actual move by a crew of Reuben, Chris and others (sorry, I didn't get all the names), who were hard working, efficient, skillful and above all, patient and flexible. Not only did they take care with packing, by wrapping everything in blankets and shrink wrap, and lifting very heavy items, they placed everything where we wanted in the new location, while continuing to demonstrate kindness in their treatment of my elderly parents treasures. I'm updating my review from 9/6/16. Although I didn't have a positive experience during the actual move, Dose Moving went above and beyond to make it right. After posting the aforementioned review, Marilee immediately responded and we discussed why I was dissatisfied with the move. She followed up several times and made it very clear that she wanted to remedy my issues and even discussed the move with the crew leader that day. We came to an agreement (which I was extremely grateful for) and they are sending someone to repair the damage to my wall. I haven't experienced this level of concern for customer satisfaction before, so I would give them 5 stars for that. My recommendation would be to speak to them immediately if you have any issues/concerns and from my experience, they will be willing to discuss it with you. Thank you! read more

We made the mistake of hiring a mover other than Dose to move our daughter a month ago. I won't name the company but things were broken, the movers acted like they were doing us a favor and they could not drop the stuff and leave fast enough. On top of it they were more expensive than Dose. Then, thankfully we hired Dose for our move last week. The experience could not have been more different. Marilee is a top notch person who truly cares. The Dose team showed up and was amazingly cordial, professional and accommodating. They handled every piece of furniture like it was their own. The customer service from Dose is at the level that resorts and 5 star restaurants would envy! We will definitely hire them for our next move. Don't waste your time with others, hire Dose. Do not use this company for storage! They carefully wrapped everything as it was leaving my home. It went into storage at their facility for two months. When the truck arrived at my new home many items were unwrapped, dirty, scratched, gouged or ruined. When I called, I was told by Marilee Dose that they do not unwrap items that go into storage. She was not able to explain the damage to my belongings or how it was that things arrived unwrapped. She did not seem interested or concerned. I hired this company because they are a local small business headed by a woman. Such a disappointment. Such dishonesty. read more

The owner is a tool. I booked three weeks ago. When the guys show up they aren't treating my stuff with care and they are constantly walking in front of me while I'm trying to pack. They offer no help and they made several mistakes such as taking extra empty boxes I needed to the truck and total wrapping things. They smushed my little things and didn't really appear to have any efficiency. When I was left packing and doing a majority of the work and then filling my whole car without assistance I still had extra items. Rather than offer any solutions the guy called his owner and when I called the owner he wouldn't let me talk and said I was expecting the guys to be slaves (like what the fuck?) and called me a bunch of names and told me to shut up (I couldn't even get any words in so I'm not sure what he was even referring to) and said one more word and they are unloading then hung up and told them to unload anyway. He said he would come down himself to make sure my "shit" was off "his truck" and repeated phrases like 20 times over and over like a child any time I tried to get in any word. I was literally three boxes away from being done. It's ironic they were willing to carry my very breakable mirror and glass in my boxes but not aluminum cans of food, which the owner called "chemicals" Luckily I found someone willing to pick me up but I can't believe any owner would treat their customers like that. They told me I was the only customer for the day so I'm not sure why the owner was yelling at me about time wasted and being slaves as I was probably the easiest move ever and they were done in less than an hour and they would have had most of the day off because they would have finished early with me. I tried to refer him to this wording in the email I recieved: "Please note, we do not adjust the time or discount the rate based for the following: continuing to pack on moving day, having to move our truck on moving day" I have never had any moving guys not offer to help me take stuff out to my car or move around certain items to be nice. I have never felt less valued as a customer and I was just in shock at the way the owner seemed to think it was okay to talk to people paying for his services. Good luck to him when it comes to staying in business. Edit to Business Owner: I expected a response from Marilee since she responded nastily to my last review and she asked for it to be removed from yelp and she has responded in the same terrible and childlike manner to every one star review on here in a very unprofessional way. She is the one who reported my review and listed the reason as being "posted twice on two different businesses" (because it really violated no other reason) yet it's the same business listed in Phoenix and Scottsdale by the same management. It's funny cause I was going to report *her* reply this week as well for including my personal information--my full name mind you--in a business reply--as a violation of privacy. She likes to get the last word in in emails (she had a back and forth with me by email just to get the last word in on saying thank you that I would love to show anyone interested in how petty she is) and on reviews she doesn't like and can't appreciate a reviewers right to post an opinion without retaliation. As a result of her reporting my original comment I lost other comments that would have shed further light on her and the situation. I didn't ask for bags of food to be moved, I asked for all my stuff to be moved and they couldn't come up with a solution to that somehow. I was also prepared--I was packing the kitchen which was my perishables. It was really crazy how they responded and very alarming. She is all the evidence in one star reviews and etc you need to stay away when you look at how unprofessional she and her husband treat others. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Dose Moving! I received an immediate response, with a very competitive quote (without hidden fees or extra charges). That wasn't even the good part- the team that arrived to do the work called in advance (and right on time), were polite (each of the three used my name, listened when I made a request), and were personable. Great experience from first call to job finish. Received quick quote on yelp but ultimately booked by phone. Lady from office was super pleasant and very responsive. Booked with no problem on a week notice. Crew lead Jim and David went right to work moving from third floor. Everything was wrapped up and moved quickly with great care. Dose Moving was amazing. Everything about this company was super easy, from setting an appointment to payment. They confirmed the appointment when you make it, and the night before. They were on time (actually even early), hustled and didn't waste any time. They didn't stop hustling when we arrived at the storage facility and got done in just abt an hour, making several trips to the 3rd floor and the truck. I moved from Phoenix to Flagstaff recently and this is the first smooth moving experience I've had in years! (I have moved a number of times, and each time I've had issues with the moving companies or my belongings have been damaged.) Marilee was a delight to work with over the phone and wanted to make sure everything was going O.K. My movers Nick, Luis and Brak were all pleasant, efficient and on time for pick up in Phoenix and arrival in Flagstaff. I had a difficult move-out space in Phoenix with a long outdoor corridor for them to walk, and no one complained and they got it all done well! Ive done business with Dose moving in the past. I have a business in the same industry as Marilee. There was a situation where she needed to scramble and cover a customer she had and gave me a call. She unselfishly asked me if I would take the job and didn't ask for anything in return. The customer was well informed and the job went seamlessly. In the trucking business we sometimes have problems with the diesels. Its nice to know that even though we are competitors taking care of the customers we have made obligations to is priority number one. I hired Dose Moving after receiving quotes form multiple moving companies. Marilee was extremely responsive and thorough from the first call through our move date and made sure that I understood exactly how their pricing worked. She and her husband provided a no-cost, on-site evaluation of our property so that Dose could schedule the proper crew and give an accurate estimate. On the day of the move, the team actually showed up a few minutes early and got right to work. Nick (the team leader) handled the introductions and made sure that his team was organized. Devon, Edgar and Eric were all extremely friendly and handled our furniture with great care. I was extremely impressed with how careful they were, not only with the furniture, but also with moving it out of the old house and into the new house. They did no damage to the walls or floors, leaving both the old house and new house in the same condition in which they found it. Jim and Victor moved us yesterday. These men were non stop moving us and even though I moved so much stuff on my own it was still 4.5 hrs. I hired Dose Moving after reading a number of reviews on their site and other sites. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Jonathan and Luis arrived on time, were very professional and didn't hesitate to ask questions as to what they were moving and what was staying for a later pick up by St. Vincent de Paul. This was not an easy move, given that it involved moving from the 5th floor of an assisted living facility in Sun City West to the second floor of another assisted living facility in Carefree! Nevertheless they got the job done quickly and efficiently. They even took a slight detour in route to the new location to drop off a king-size bed at our house. Nothing was dinged or damaged. Used this company for our most recent move and they were AWESOME! The office staff was great for setting up all the little details of the move and kept us in the loop via email and texts. This company is sounded like a great deal when I looked up their website on yelp. Had awesome reviews and their price seemed fair $155 per hour with no additional fees(they don't tell you there is a minimum of 2hrs by the way until the person shows up with the paperwork the day of the move) so I decided to go with them. I lived in a 780sqft apartment on the second floor with elevator access that's a few steps away from where my apt is located. I had a few large items (bedroom set and couch) with other miscellaneous items. The company I used to move into this apartment took about 1 1/2hrs with 3 movers I couldn't remember the name so I could use them again otherwise I would have. So I was estimating about the same amount of time therefore I planned budgeting $300 plus tip...When dose showed up at my place I spoke with Victor most of the time and when I was signing the agreement that's when I saw the fine print of Min of 2hrs which wasn't a big deal so i signed away. They started their job at 8:50am all 3 gentlemen were very friendly. I noticed that their pace wasn't very quick instead they were taking quite a while compared to how the previous company I had used. They took about 1.75 hrs to load everything I'm not even sure how this possible. Once everything was loaded Victor tells me that their truck broke down that their battery had died and wanted to use my car to recharge their battery, this is very unprofessional we are talking about a hughe truck compared to a small car! I refused so they got a jump start from a Uhaul that was next to them from one of my neighbors of the complex that was also moving out. I decided to get ahead of them and go to the place it took them about 15 min to get there the place is only literally 3 min away (around the block). They were able to unload everything within an hour! I could tell that they finally had picked up speed! This is the speed they should had been working in the first place! When it came to signed the paper Work they tell me they told me they stopped the clock at 1130! I was surprised that they didn't deduct the time they took to restart their truck! This was not my fault! I decided not to report this to a manager or to them this instead I decided to write a review about this company! They are unfair and they seem to take their time to take your money! I was very unsatisfied with the moving prices and the whole truck situation, I can say nothing was broken and the guys were friendly but that's it do expect to pay a higher rate when you can actually save going with another company that are quick fast and efficient! read more
