I stored my RV here for 1 year, and had my Catalytic Converter stolen 2 times. They do not cover damage, or theft.

We highly recommend Todd and the Mesa location where we currently store our valuables at…read more. Renting from Extra Space thru Todd at 6840 E MADERO AVE, Mesa loc. has been amazing. We are in frantic mode, prepping to sell, organizing, packing - yet Todd has been an incredible help! We have rented from ExtraSpace before and even found a few sites closer to our home yet, this site had the right size units, best pricing, easiest accommodations and the best part, Todd has gone above & beyond to help us, even assisting my son unpack our trailer when it just him and my son. No cameras around to show the world or selfies needed to show how genuine and simple yet effective customer service should look like and feel. Just Todd assisting one more family during a very difficult time. For that I say... "Thank you!..." Sincerely, Russell K. Smith

Todd, manager of the 6840 E Madero Ave, Mesa, AZ, contacted me and we set up an immediate meeting time. Met me at the door and showed me to units. Viewed unit size and was what needed. Todd was superb with showing the way to access the facility and the actual storage unit access/lock. The process of the signing up for the unit storage was done very professionally and each step clearly stated. Thank you and glad to have storage for the next numerous months. C.Z.

4/27/25 North side…read moreof Guadalupe just east of Ellsworth Rd, Mesa. What's here Large property with numerous storage options including parking spaces for RV, Boats, trailers etc. Needs We utilized this location to store items we removed from a family member's apartment after their passing. This solution allowed us to begin the process of sorting for donations and distribution personal items to family. We had 24/7 access and were able to quickly downsize to a smaller storage unit until everything had been sorted and spoken for over time at a less stressful pace. Office 5/5 Always helpful and quickly made storage changes for us as we downsized. I also received after hours support over the phone twice. Recommended 5/5 If you have storage space needs in East Mesa consider this property it worked great for us during a stressful time and we were able to change as circumstances changed! SYOY

Place is not secure, as we had items stolen in November 2023. Their response was if we weren't going to call the cops, they couldn't look into it. When we went to move out in July 2024, our RV's drivers side mirror was busted and the camper next to us had the perfect imprint of the mirror in their back door. Again, they said there's nothing they can do. they are over priced if they can't manage theft/damage in their complex.

I signed up for a storage unit at StorAmerica about a year ago at a rate of $69 per month. Over the…read morepast year, without any notice or communication, they raised my rate to $95 a month. To make matters worse, when I had a small $1.90 balance on my account, they locked me out of my unit. This happened on the exact day I had moving trucks and family members in from out of town ready to help me move. I couldn't access my belongings until the following week when I was finally able to get in touch with the district manager. It's hard to understand how they can justify increasing the rent without adding any value or notifying their customers. The lack of transparency and poor handling of the situation made a stressful time even harder. If zero stars were an option, that's what I would give. I would never recommend StorAmerica to anyone. *********************** Response to Owners comment below: Your response is exactly why this facility has a 1.4-star rating. Here are the actual facts: * I moved in during June of last year at $69/month. In December, the rate was raised to $76, and just last month it was raised again to $96. That is a 37.7% increase in less than one year--without a single notice of either increase. I've received every other mailed notice from StorAmerica, including lock notices, but never once about these rent hikes. * To put that in perspective, the self-storage industry standard for annual rent increases is 5-10%, with some operators occasionally raising rates by 8-15%. A nearly 40% increase in one year is far outside industry norms, and calling it "standard" is misleading at best. * I have provided all of my statements from this entire year, which clearly show I have not had a single delinquent balance. The only time my unit was locked was over $1.90 in April taxes. Before that lockout, I called and was told directly by your front desk staff that the $1.90 would roll into the next invoice and did not require a separate payment. Despite following your staff's instruction, I was locked out of my unit anyway. * The "$10 discount" you reference was a one-time courtesy, not an ongoing deduction. None of my invoices show this as recurring, making your claim misleading. Now this isn't about $1.90 or even just the rent increase--it's about dishonesty, lack of transparency, and unprofessional conduct. A nearly 40% increase in a year is not "standard" in this industry, and your public response misrepresents the facts of my account in an attempt to shift blame. If customer care and transparency were your priorities, you'd start with accuracy and accountability--two things this location is sorely lacking.
