I had a small project--just moving some furniture around in my home--so not technically a "move" involving a truck. A very small job and very last minute. Brian, the owner, responded to my request for a quote on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. I received several quotes from Yelp reviewed companies. They all responded quickly, but J & J was faster on the draw, more responsive and more understanding of the nature of the job. They took a deposit from me on Tuesday and set up for 7am-9am on Wednesday. The crew leader called me, as requested 30 minutes ahead of time and they were exactly on time. Very courteous, polite and professional crew. Very careful and methodical. The job was completed in less than two hours and they cleaned up everything prior to leaving. I absolutely recommend this company and would use them again. Based on their other reviews (another reason I hired them) it seems many other people do too. read more

Hands down the best moving experience we ever had. They were on time, professional and took care of our belongings. 5 stars across the board... read more

J & J movers did an excellent job during our move this past weekend. We were told we would get 2 movers and we ended up with 3 at no extra charge! These guys were quick, efficient and kept our furniture safe throughout the entire move. I only moved 15 minutes away and it took them less than 3 hours to pack and get everything moved, and that included wrapping up furniture and un-assembling/assembling our bed frame and couch. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for fast and hardworking movers! read more

If I need a moving company again for my next move I will be calling these guys. They were professional and friendly, took great care of my things, and did not try to change the price on me. The other moving companies either sounded sketchy or they were too highly priced. From the get go when I called to make an appointment the management was very friendly with me as well. I appreciate their hard work! read more

Brian and Company delivered a first rate customer experience from start to finish. Their rates were competitive, but their attention to detail and eagerness to do things right set them apart from the rest. From the initial consult to the check in call a week later to make sure everything arrived intact, I felt like they cared. Hired 3 movers for 3 hours to load a 16-foot POD for a 1,000-mile move to Iowa. You'd think they were Tetris masters, the way they loaded things. Not a single item damaged when we unloaded at the new house. Brian's been doing this for decades and is very selective with his team. You can tell. THANKS BRIAN! read more

These guys did a 1st class job moving some delicate but heavy items, including a 100 year old pool table and a grandfather clock with leaded glass doors. Everything arrived in good order, on schedule, and, importantly, no surprises :) Thanks guys! read more

Very professional and polite team of super workers! They did an excellent job of wrapping furniture and stuffing my uhaul to the brim.

We hired J & J to do our move and they were very efficient and respectful of moving everything over to our new house. Even got some pointers about how to move certain items (like our nice TV) that we weren't aware of and that previous movers hadn't brought up. Would definitely recommend them for your next move and they had a fair rate! read more

I called J&J Moving experts when I needed to be out of my place immediately, they were able to accommodate me on short notice, they beat the prices of all the moving companies I called before them. They were professional, on time and I couldn't ask for more from them, their motto should be "home of the stress free moving experts". read more

They showed up when they said they would, and wrapped all of the furniture with blankets and shrink wrap and nothing was damaged, It was a local move so they charge by the hour, but they worked fast. All the guys were polite and friendly, not your typical movers, they definitely took pride in doing a good job. read more

These guys were excellent in moving my furniture to my patio deck. They came on time and were very courtious. My furnutre was very heavy and could not be moved via the inside of the home. So they lifted it up from the outside with ease. I recommend using them easily and I will use them again. JD read more

We have moved many of times and it's not even a fair fight how great these guys are. From setting up the appointment to the pick up and drop off I've never seen a more efficient group work together as a team. Look no further as this is who you want to use! Thanks for making our move so easy. read more

Will definitely use again! My move request was last minute, and they still went out of their way to accommodate my situation. They follow procedures, and are very trustworthy. Looking forward to using them again in the future! read more

I was looking for something discounted since I was in a tight money spot, they were able to To provide the lowest pricing possible I could find in the tight amount of time I had to schedule my move. I was a little worried though because I did not get any type of email confirmation once I made my reservation but a text receipt of my down payment. I had requested two guys with a two hour minimum ( which is required), I was moving from a third-floor apartment to another third-floor apartment, but I didn't have that much stuff, no bed no dresser two TVs and boxes, but it took them all day to do the move. The last hour it felt like they were milking the time to call it six hour total. I paid it and still tipped however I probably won't be calling them for my next move. read more

Today, J&J Movers moved my good friend out of state. I was her organizer for this move. From the first phone call through today's actual move, Brian and Anita have given the best customer service. Anita followed up with timely emails covering the details we discussed. I highly recommend them, and would use them again. They are efficient, thorough and professional, showing their commitment to the best customer service possible. Thank you, Brian & Anita! read more

I've thought hard about this review. On one hand they moved everything without damaging anything to my knowledge but on the other hand they took 8 hours to move a 1,600 sq ft house were most of the boxes had already been moved and they just needed to move a washer and dryer, fridge, Queen bed a few book cases , dining table and chairs and some boxes... they did move some other items to the garage. The reason I question the time is that when we moved from California we had a lot more stuff and everything had to be put on a 26' truck and it was completed in about 8 hours with two movers and one lead playing Tetris making sure everything fit. My coworker was also moving and I gave her the info for J&J and unknown to me she was moving the day after us so I was unable to give her feedback. She had the same crew and same experience of "slow walking" her move. If we weren't so tired from packing, moving and life I think I would have spoken up about their speed and called the owner in the middle of the move. read more

From initial quote and scheduling to completion of move customer service and communication were excellent. The crew arrived on time, were efficient, professional, courteous and provided exceptional customer service. All belongings were wrapped well and very protected and the team seemed to really care about their work. The move was completed without damage to anything and they even perform a walk through when complete to make sure you are satisfied and everything is in place where desired. I highly recommend this company and will definitely pass along to my friends and family. read more

I was able to schedule my move with less than a week's notice. The movers were very professional & friendly; this is a legitimate moving company, not like Pleasant Movers that I used to move my stuff out of my apartment to storage. J&J didn't have a blower on their truck but used a moving blanket to sweep out my storage unit so I wouldn't get charged a cleaning fee. They were quick but careful. They are also very affordable. I highly recommend them. read more

Highly recommend this company ! I needed movers last minute and they were there the next morning, very professional, on time & very organized ! Will definitely be using them in the future. read more

Brian was responsive and helpful in providing a quote to our unusual job. Scheduling was a breeze. Would recommend J & J!

My storage company recommended this company, they were 51 miles away from where I was moving. After speaking with Anita, she promised it wasn't a big deal to accommodate me. It was the best move I've ever made. She worked with me over the phone and took into consideration everything I needed. The day of the move was so easy- they showed up exactly on time, were courteous, professional and quick. The best part of the move was after we started unloading, they were so helpful, cheerful and rolled with the punches! I actually had a wonderful time working with them. I am rehiring them to finish the move from my out of state residence. I can't say enough good things about this company from start to finish. Thanks again JJ Movers! read more

I'm so glad I picked J and J to move our stuff to another part of town! They were very good from the minute I contacted them to our move they were very professional kind and courteous! We had some difficult stuff to move as we are on the side of a mountain, with limited space, They all did such great work and even did more then I wanted, like moving some concrete blocks out of the patio that the previous owners left. Very timely as well! Great job and Thank you again! read more

Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, my experience with J&J Movers was very positive and I would recommend their service.

Our experience with J and J movers was amazing. I would give 10 points if I could. Brian and his team are extremely reliable. They finished loading and unloading all our stuff within a few hours with a reasonable price. They handled all our furniture with care. One of our laptop bags was missed during transit. Brian found it and delivered it to us. I would highly recommend Brian and his team. Thanks Brian !! read more

From now on, we won't be moving every again without owner Brian Jones and his excellent staff at J&J. When a mover we had scheduled completely abandoned us without notice on the day we were supposed to move, J&J stepped up and gave up their Sunday to move us. Brian, Brion and Tyler showed up, were absolute professionals, carefully and expertly wrapped up our furniture, mirrors, etc. and got them to our new home with zero issues. They hustled the entire time, were courteous and funny, and accommodated our every request. Brian also gave us moving and packing tips along the way. What a great guy. J&J went above and beyond to help us out and we're very grateful. And J&J's prices are very reasonable and they didn't take advantage of the tough spot we were in. We've already told a friend who is moving in October about J&J and will continue to spread the word about this great company and the people who work there. Thanks again to a great small business. read more

Helped us move without any hiccups and/or issues. One of the fairer prices I could find. Being 100+ degrees and they offered us water and not the other way around!! Top notch customer service! One of the gentlemen offered me great advice on building my patio. I would highly recommend their service to anyone!! Great selection of "moving" music as well lol!! read more

I was scrambling last minute to schedule movers and Brian was responsive and very helpful.
