A large flat screen TV broken while movers left it sitting on the floor in the living room. They hit it with a dolly. Two treasured table lamps inside a heavy duty Costco bin; broken. An irreplaceable vase from our daughter's wedding that was packed in styrofoam inside a heavy duty container; broken. An ottoman arrived ripped. A quick peek into the truck loading witnessed containers etc being thrown recklessly into the truck. Overpriced. Owner's response not even close to responsive. We hired them to assist with our move a few months back. Their team was late, and the communication was extremely poor all around. They charge quite a lot and the service did not live up to its value. Their movers broke our adjustable base for our mattress and owner bought a used part on ebay to fix it, the part was not correct for our base so it still does not work the same. They also stained our couch. The owner did have a carpet cleaner come out and clean it but the guy was kind of a creep. Contracted with this company on very short notice to move furniture and belongings from my mother's one bedroom independent living apartment to efficiency assisted living apartment on the same campus. When "part 1" of this move was complete, they delivered furniture to an off-site storage facility about 4 miles away. I am very satisfied with the communication about the job prior to the day of the move and on the day of the move. The two gentlemen who did the move were cordial, had a great sense of humor, shook hands with my elderly mother. They placed us all at ease, were competent, and trust worth. They were patient as they had to work around/wait for many elders waiting for shared small elevators during lunch time. :-) All the items arrived safely and without any damage. I have used multiple movers in the past, this was the VERY BEST moving service I've ever used. Many companies boast of white glove service but this is the only moving service that truly understands that concept. They moved furniture to a newly constructed home with brand new floors, carpet and pained walls during a rainy day. They postponed the move one day to avoid most of the heavy rain as a courtesy. The following day, they took every precaution possible to avoid damaging our white hardwood floors. They placed carpets and tarp everywhere to not damage carpets or floors. They wore gloves and shoe covers the entire time. They removed and disposed of all the moving boxes which most movers won't do. They took their time and asked us where we wanted items. They were even great with positioning furniture and giving us suggestions. Finally, they had an amazing attitude. Many times movers can be rough individuals who can be abrasive and in a hurry to finish the job. This company never behaved that way. They took their time and wanted to do a proper job. They are not inexpensive so that should be fair warning. However, you get what you pay for and they were worth every penny. I have moved many times here in the US and over seas, but my recent move with "Get your move on" is by far the best overall experience I ever had! I was in the middle of a not great experience and I needed a fast move from a mid-west state all the way back to Arizona. I knew of Dreck Greene so I called him to tell him my predicament. Without hesitation he said "Sure, we can do that"! He told me he'd call back by the end of the day; and he did. All arrangements in order just needed my Ok. His plan was fantastic. He would have a truck with two White Glove packers dead head from Az. to my location. He had already figured out what the drive was and when they would arrive. The men would. notify. when they arrived . It worked exactly as he planned.. They came in and immediately got to work! Within a day & a half it was completed. Derek had also made all the arrangements for having my car picked up & brought to my destination. That also zip zip done ! I did absolutely nothing, those guys were amazing !!! Matthew and Austin did an incredible job. They were super nice, professional, and speedy. They wrapped all my furniture really well, which was nice not having to go through the hassle myself. They successfully delivered all my pieces to my third story apartment without a dent or scratch ; even the wood items were left without a mark. The move was perfect except for an issue with the elevators that required extra time for the move. We found this company on Angie's list and also checked Yelp reviews. Their reviews seemed too good to be true, but made a tough decision easy. Their pricing is competitive, but not the cheapest and like other reviewers mention you get what you pay for. They were easy to work with from the quoting process through the end of the move. We didn't have any problems so I can't speak to how they handle disputes, but everyone we dealt with was very professional. They sent three guys (Chad, Matthew, David) and the entire move, about 6 miles from house to house, took about 3 hours. At one point a fourth guy (Rico) showed up and one of the originals (David) left for another job. They wrapped almost everything in blankets and then shrink wrap. They worked quickly, got along well as a team and all seemed to be in good spirits (one was even humming to himself). This made the process less stressful. Damage/scratches to refrigerators is a common complaint in reviews of other companies. When we expressed concern about how they'd move a brand new large stainless steel refrigerator up outdoor stairs (around block walls and huge rocks), they said it was no problem and told us how they'd protect it (they handled it as carefully as they did the large wood furniture, mirrors, etc.) and it was positioned in its new home unharmed. I hope we don't move again any time soon, but we would definitely use this company again and we highly recommend them. read more

We have used other movers in the past and after having Andy and his team at Get Your Move on pack up the house to do a remodel I can officially say, I'm sad this is the first time we've used them. They are the HARDEST working movers in the business and worked their asses off to get everything done as quickly as possible while still taking the upmost care with our belongings. Very efficient. I called one week out and scheduled them to move one room of furniture to assisted living along with a few other items. A person from the office gave a follow up call to go over the exact move date and what would be required. Day before the move another follow up call was given for further confirmation. Day of move, the actual movers called and said when they would be here. Two great guys showed up and boxed what we needed boxed, took the bed apart and wrapped in plastic, took down a mirror and wrapped it and packaged it. double checked what other furniture we wanted moved. These two REALLY listened and did their job well. Also very friendly. They drove the truck to the assisted living and checked in with the front desk. Moved everything in and set it all up. There was no damage to anything. Then they took ALL of the packaging materials out of the apartment. I had done my last move with another company - I had used them three times, the first two times they were good but the last time horrid, so I didn't want to stint on cost to get the job done. So I decided to try the highly rated "Get Your Move On" company. The guys who came, Matt, Va'a and Nate were hardworking, good listeners, smart, strong and fun. They were a good team with each other and that makes things work a lot better. It's hard to move, but when you are working with good people it makes the day less painful. This time I had mostly kitchen boxes in the kitchen, my tower of book boxes where I wanted them near the books shelves so my unpacking will go well, most of the upstairs boxes ended up upstairs, etc. The boxes that remained in the garage were nicely organized so my car neatly could fit in there. Nothing was broken, unlike the last time I moved with "the other company" and all my instructions were followed so I ended up having Nitpick a few boxes ended up in the wrong place although labelled, but I suppose if we had taken the time to sort them out it would've made the move go overtime. It was only a few, and so far it hasn't been a big hassle to unpack. I think if I was getting the move reimbursed I would've paid a little extra at the end since I could've had more things moved around, but overall I have had a much easier time unpacking this time. I feel very enthusiastic about recommending Get Your Move On, if you have the $ to pay. Else if you stint on $, you get what you pay for, so expect broken furniture, and a helter skelter nightmare of boxes in the wrong place ("the other company" disregarded my instructions via books last move and books are so heavy moving them around would be hard, and "the other company" mixed kitchen boxes up with book boxes and put them all in the garage so unpacking was a nightmare for me)... This time unpacking is pleasurable and I know I will get this place in shape, be able to sort out books and give some away as I go through them, etc. From the initial estimate to the final checkout, everyone in the office was great at communication. Add that to a high quality moving crew and they are well worth the cost. read more

Very expensive company. They moved my furniture from a Scottsdale house to a Phoenix storage room. I also bought 20 blankets from them for my storage at $25 each with the agreement that when I moved out of the storage they would buy them back for $15 each. The total for the move and blankets was over $3300. I used a different mover when I moved from the storage room to my new home in Fountain Hills. That move only cost $1600. When I called Get Your Move On to buy back my blankets as they had promised, they said I had never paid for them and they wouldn't buy them back. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They are twice as expensive and their commitment is not worth anything. read more
