This has been the worst moving experience we've ever had. We've moved many times all over the country with the military and have had generally good experiences until now. It started with a late arrival, an unprepared crew of only 2, and rough treatment of our goods. They ran out of all packing material and one employee kept complaining about being tired. I called to voice my concern about the treatment of our belongings. I was assured that our goods, which we stored with them, would be handled with care. Yesterday, part of our goods were delivered. Not only are there broken vases, dishes, but also large, sturdy items that could've only been damaged from a significant impact. Some of these special pieces are difficult to find items that are no longer in production, which sharpens the blow. I'm so disappointed. read more

Do not schedule them as movers. They were scheduled at 1:45 PM and did not arrive til an hour and a half later. They were complaining about everything, and even wanted to be lazy by doing a half ass job. As there were unloading everything into the new unit, they broke our TV. We've reached out to Chris many times and have yet to receive a response. Don't let the good review fools you. They're terrible to work and schedule with. 0 stars if I could. Chris has been THE worst to work with. He knew we were on a second floor moving to another second floor and gave me a quote of $450 with two guys. Our movers arrived 15 minutes late (no problem) but with alcoholic beverages in their cup holders. They took many smoke breaks and took their time loading the truck. Granted stairs can be a lot. I get it. Upon getting to our destination, they took an extra 30 minutes because they had to go home to use the restroom. With the trailer full of our belongings. We did not feel comfortable with this. They returned to us and finally started unloading. They offered to knock 15 minutes off our time because of their delay. Halfway through the unloading, only one guy was coming up and down. The other refused to do any more stairs. They were upset because their boss, Chris Rogers, only sends two men when it was supposed to be 3. Hence why they were exhausted. They broke two items and got in contact with Chris who said to send him an estimate for my items to send to insurance. I did that same day. I have given it now a month and a half with continuous check ins with no response. After seeing reviews, I now understand I am foolish for thinking he will actually replace it or even try to make the moment right. Best part of it all, since it was only two guys, it took 2.5 hours longer than originally quoted which means we paid $860 for this terrible service. We moved locally on Feb 21, 2025 and used First Class Moving. Unfortunately during the move a small table and the phone charger inside the table drawer didn't make it from one house to the other. We discussed it with the moving team on the day of the move and they had no idea what happened and no explanation of where they might be. They said to call the office on Monday, February 24th and report it. I called the office on Monday the 24th and they said they would get back to me. I didn't hear back from them. After many calls and texts back and forth with Chris, all initiated by me, I'm still trying to get reimbursed for the items. I've heard the claim has been filed to the check is in the mail to someone dropped the ball and we will get back to you. More than 5 months later nothing has been resolved and now that I'm not reaching out to them no communication has taken place. The dollar amount isn't the issue for me it's the lack of communication, the principle that 2 items of ours never made it to our new house, nothing has been resolved and they don't seem to care since they've been paid. I expect better especially from a local company who has been in business for as long as they have. read more

Is this a difficult review to do because I think you have to do it in two pieces. The beginning part of the service where they book you and come and get you packed is generally good. Lots of communication making sure that everything is OK. However, once your stuff is picked up everything goes sideways. First of all, I have given my delivery address no less than four different times and yet nobody seems to have it. The company that they contract with to deliver. Your stuff is very difficult to contact and communicate with. When I booked with United, I asked several times when my stuff would be delivered and several times I was told once you get there all you have to do is tell us when you're ready to receive, and you will be able to receive it. that is a flat out lie. My stuff is still in Pennsylvania and I live now in Arizona and my stuff hasn't even been put on a semi truck to come to me and they don't know when it's going to happen. I paid $8500 and I have no stuff and no information about when the stuff is coming and now they won't pick up the phone. I truly don't understand how companies operate like this. They are operating without morals and humanity when they take $8500 from you and then disappear. read more

Wish I would have read these reviews first before using these guys. We stored our condo contents for 2.5 years when we were out of country. Upon arriving back, we were short delivered 6 boxes and 1 TV. There were damages to our bicycles and a rip in one of our mattresses. The picture attached shows how they just throw your possessions into a truck without any care (ironically beside a stack of packing blankets). We had paid for them to pack our boxes so at least it was like Christmas opening them up to a surprise what was in them excluding the 6 they lost. Chris told us to get a an estimate for repair/replacement which we did, but after 5 months still nothing. If they answer your call they will let you know they will check into it and never call you back with any action. If you are reading this review, use these guys at your own risk. Even if you think your estimate is a good price, they will get you for extras like travel time during rush hour. 1 Star is generous here, I hope at least one person is saved from these crooks. read more

Which, I have no intention of chasing down estimates. What I am doing is leave comments on social media that reflects the lousy level of service. Dragging mattresses and box springs that left black stains? Chips of wood missing from four different pieces of furniture? Chunks of plaster missing from the walls they bounced off of? I planned a move from Southern Maryland to Phoenix AZ and had them hold my belongings until I finished closing on my home. I told them my delivery date would be July 21st. I received an email reminding me to pay for the storage up to that point so i did. I tried contacting customer service numerous times about my delivery but no one answers or calls back. On July 21st after calling all day I decide to call customer service from my wife's phone, they answer. I ask for an update from "Jeff" in customer service and he says he will give me a call back asking what happened. I decide to call "Doug", the man who sent me my estimate and set me up to begin with & he tells me the same thing. A few hours go by and again, i hear nothing. I text "Doug" asking for an update where he tells me "I either ignore your statement or i defer shipment to Seattle per your contract" where he then proceeds to call me in a very aggressive & confrontational tone where he calls me a liar and tells me "he has me by the balls" and he's going to take me to court for lying, where i wont be able to receive my belongings without paying $20,000 all while calling me a mother F**ker, a B**ch and other vulgar names. Eventually i hangup & call customer service again where a "Elizabeth" answers the phone. She is very sympathetic at first and understands the situation & gives me her phone number to contact her regarding my shipping and tells me the manager or whoever is going to be contacted regarding this matter. It is August 3rd as i write this review & i have received no call, no voicemails, no emails or anything regarding my order. I have called numerous times, left text messages & voicemails and nothing. I received a text message saying she is the only one in the office at the moment and she's calling this "manager" but still, nothing. I have screenshots of all text messages and have a recording of my conversation with "Doug" and will be pursuing legal action against this horrible company. Very positive experience! My first contact with this company was a lady calling me about my upcoming move. At the time, I didn't even have a move date because our house was for sale; we needed a buyer before we could move forward with anything. No problem! Chris called and gave me a rough estimate, then offered to give a more firm quote when we were ready to schedule. We had a house sale & purchase on the same day and had to coordinate our move carefully. At first, we were going to pack one day and move in the next day, but then my buyer turned out to be super cool and said I could take all day on selling day since he didn't get off work till after 4 PM. That was a good thing because of unforeseen circumstances and the estimate for my move was off. Nate was our primary guy and was extremely friendly and professional for the entire move. He communicated with us the entire day and even had to make 2 trips to the new house. He was aware of what time I wanted to clear out by and still took very good care of our belongings. Their time ran well over the estimated amount, but the guarantee kicked in and they only charged for 2 extra hours. Those guys worked very hard on an extremely hot day. We used First Class Moving and Storage back in December, 2017. I have been waiting to write this review for a little while now because of how long it has taken my issue to be resolved. First of all, the movers are very nice. I have nothing but good things to say about the guys that came out and actually did the work of moving and storing my stuff. They were punctual and very friendly during the process. With that being said, after our stuff was moved into our new house, we noticed that there was a lot of damage to our kitchen table leaf. It could have happened during the move or the storage, we aren't sure. We noticed a few other small things as well, but decided the table was our priority. I called Chris, the manager, about this and he said, "No problem, get a quote and send it over to us and we will send the information to our insurance company and they will send you a check." When asked how long, he said it would take 2-3 weeks. We moved in on December 28th, 2017 and I noticed the damage right away. I did my due diligence and I received a quote on 12/30/17 and immediately forwarded it over to them to begin the claims process. After I sent them the original email, I NEVER received confirmation that they received the quote. So, I followed up to make sure they received it. I emailed them multiple times with no response. I finally called the main number and got to speak with Chris. He mentioned that it take 2-3 weeks. Ok fine. I emailed them again on 1/16/2018 which was about 3 weeks, and still didn't receive a reply. I called Chris again, and he gave me the same information. I finally received an email from them on 2/8/2018 and they mentioned that I would be getting a check by next week at the latest. The following week came and I didn't receive a check. My husband finally gave him a call the week we were supposed to receive a check and asked him what was going on. Chris said it would be sent out shortly and that it's not his job to send out checks. Never once did he transfer me over to someone who actually handles the reimbursement for damages. We finally received the check today, 3/1/2018. It was for less than half the amount of our quote because we didn't opt for the additional insurance option. Chris made it seem that the additional insurance was unnecessary during the quote because of the extra care his movers take to ensure no damage will be done. I have also noticed that they dated the check 2/3/18, why did it take so long to get to us? Overall, I will not be using this company in the future and will not recommend them. Never once did we receive an apology and nor were they proactive about getting my claim resolved in a timely fashion. 2-3 weeks turned into 9. I truly believe if I didn't follow up on it I would still be waiting for the check. read more

I requested a quote from this company because I was given a recommendation thru my realtor - who said another person thought they were wonderful. Well the estimate was way off (i added two pieces) to the original estimate. But the movers showed up with a small 26ft truck that couldn't possibly hold my houseful of furniture. So it took them two days to move me instead of one day - and cost $800 more than originally quoted. They told me to leave my furniture with all the clothes and papers inside - they would wrap them. What they didn't say is that they would tip all the furniture over and everything would be a complete mess when you opened the drawers - especially file drawers. Then after a few days of getting settled I noticed that they broke the dial on my home safe and it was now impossible to open and useless - I called and they did nothing and I have to spend $250 for a new one. So they overcharged me and broke my safe and I don't think I would recommend them to anyone!!! read more

After a year of going back and forth with the attorney general they refuse to compensate me for admitted partial move and took so long that they claim it's too late for an insurance claim for extensive damage and breakage. Let me start by saying one person in the company is fantastic and that's Shawn! But the rest....not sure what to say.... We used First class movers for a move in 2019, Kyle was fantastic and our stuff arrived in excellent shape as they used pads and wrap on all our stuff..they even had to store it for 30 days... Anyway we moved again (2021) and they came and loaded the truck had stuff wrapped with blankets and took care of our stuff..we were home and watched them... well when they brought our stuff to new home we got a call from Chris the owner saying there was a problem with the truck and they would be a little late, when they arrived the driver (alone) stated the transmission blew out on the highway and they had to take all our stuff out of the truck and trailer on the side of the road and into a new truck!!! When they arrived to our home the driver stated that when they rented the uhaul and people to help him unload and reload our stuff that was wrapped in blankets and wrap were missing??? How does that happen?? The driver John also stated that when they hired help to remove "OUR" stuff they told him he can't touch it..HUMMMM?? Really your our company that we hired??? Well our stuff looked like they just threw it in the truck with no pads or wrap that was on when they left our old home...how does that happen?? so many items were damaged and our leather sofa was ripped and arm was broken, are other set of new lazy boy couches were just leaned up next to a large tv box and the dye transferred on to the couches?? WTH... also they had our China hutch up against my husband large roll top TOOLBOX!! the damage to the front of that had chunks taken out of the front! Many other pieces of wood furniture were damaged..we had a life sized Humphrey Bogart statue and it had blankets and wrap when they left our home, when they unloaded that was not covered and just in the truck..that was damaged Needless to say we had Damages in the amount from $16,000 to $18,000 dollars in damage...we just received a check for $1,230! Really that doesn't even cover the cost to replace and fix our items!!!! When on the phone Chris told us not to worry they will take care of us.....then they said we didn't pay the $75 for extra insurance but on the contract it says it's for local moves ?? Hmm we moved out of state from AZ to Oklahoma....if we paid that it was not covered anyway....we are now out thousands of dollars to fix and replace multi pieces of furniture Based on our experience don't use them They lie and don't call you back Chris and James owners don't help in anyway read more

I paid for moving my things to storage (for five years they collected from me) and then I paid to move them from Phoenix to Portland where a worker and his 15-year-old son unloaded the truck breaking things in front of witnesses and when I tried to settle with them they laughed at me and said "you should read the fine print of the contract you'll never get money from us!" I had this number saved in my phone and unfortunately mistook it for a different company my neighbor had used. At the end of the move I then remembered why they were saved. (NEVER TO USE AGAIN). I called the owner and explained I run a plumbing business and would not be on the move site during the move and asked for a "Not to exceed price". The owner came out and visually looked at my apt and my two single car garages and gave me a price in writing. I agreed,and the move date was set. Small detail ( they only have a trailer. And the guys don't know how to back it up. I had to back trailer for them. Took them 12 and half hrs to move a one bedroom apt. Which is exactly why I got a do not exceed price. The biggest reason why I will never use this company is , after they were finished I handed them my Amex card for payment. They then tell me they only accept cash. After a phone call with the owner they insist I pay cash. Problem is.. they were finished and the truck was empty. The owner tells me to "figure something out" Lol.... He tells me he's been in business 28 yrs and this is how they have always done it. Well no one ever told me I couldn't use my cc. So I told him to open a PayPal account or he was out of luck. He did open a PayPal then proceeded to add 50 dollars to the do not exceed price and sent me an invoice. It was at this time I remembered why I had this company saved in my phone. I had used them several years ago and they damaged my tv stand and threatened to put my belongings in a storage until I payed them. This company is obviously run by a child. 28 yrs in business and you can't accept a credit card?? C'mon ... To top it off... they damaged my leather headboard. Today we had them unload the Pod and put all items back in the Condo in areas as needed. What an Awesome job! We will be calling them back again when needed. Only next time we will probably have First Class store the items for us instead of renting the Pod as the Pod delivery driver that brought the Pod back gave me a hard time as to where I requested it to be placed for ease of unloading and safety for Shawn & his helpers. The movers (two men) arrived in the morning. They loaded several boxes and other items in their truck, but it was by no means full. They informed my husband they were going to drive to the new house to unload their truck, and would return. When they arrived at the new house, they informed me that they would not be moving the rest of the items, claiming an allergic reaction. However, after looking through the garage and checking some records (our bi-monthly pest control company hadn't been in the garage in over a year), the only things that may cause an allergic reaction were dust and dog hair. They refused to speak with my husband about the issue. I felt they were trying to take advantage of the situation, and that it was unprofessional for them to tell my husband they would be right back when they clearly did not intend on returning, and would only speak with me regarding them cancelling their services. The movers refused to unload the truck until they were paid. The charges on the printed bill were crossed out, and replaced with an amount more than twice the printed bill. They were unable to explain the reason for the increased charges. I tried to contact a supervisor prior to paying them, to see if we could come up with another solution, and if we could get an explanation of the bill. I used the phone number the movers gave me- he said his supervisor would answer the phone. After repeated phone calls, he did not. I asked if other people were able to come to complete the move, and we were told no. They said they preferred cash or money order, so they were paid cash. They did not give me a receipt for the transaction. A supervisor returned my husband's phone call within two days, and they were unable to resolve our complaint. Chris said he would have his supervisor (the owner of the company) contact my husband. A week and a half later, we still have not heard from the owner, nor have we received a phone call from Chris, the person my husband spoke with. That same day, we had to hire a u-haul and were scrambling to find people to help us move, since we had to be out of our previous residence two days later. I am currently 6 months pregnant and unable to lift anything. My advice is to rent a uhaul yourself- it'll be cheaper and less stressful, since that's what you'll have to end up doing the day of anyway. read more

I had a great experience with the owner who gave me the quote and the two movers. It was the best price that I was quoted after calling about 4 other companies. They showed up on time and moved everything out and in quickly as well as carefully. They also wrapped all of the furniture so there were no damages to anything during the 1 hour drive from Phoenix to Gilbert. I was not charged additional for the shrink wrap as Geary was. Everything was already boxed by me except for my daughter's room. They boxed up all of her toys and clothes. It took the exact amount of time I was quoted. We had an issue fitting our refrigerator through the door and they removed the handles to make it fit but the cord on the back got caught on the frame of the door and it ripped off. They made a point to take note of the time so that we only paid until that point then went to Lowes on their own time and dime and bought us a new cord for the refrigerator and installed it. We have been living here five months and have had no problems with fridge. I definitely recommend this company for moving. read more

Walk thru seemed good, but moving crew was the absolute worst; slow, lazy, unprofessional, furniture was poorly wrapped resulting in multiple scratches and two broken/damaged pieces of furniture. The move to the storage facility was a complete disaster, and at the end they tell you they only accept cash or certified check, so had to go to bank and get $. Now I know why they only accept cash, had I seen all the damage would have disputed credit card charge. Found Poindexter Moving on a referral and service was night and day, and at a better price to boot. If you need movers look at Poindexter and stay away from these crooks. read more

WORSE experience ever. ALso filed with Attorney General, but no response. Company is not registered in AZ. We had extensive damage PLUS they only delivered a partial load. Moving men were high (One left the VAP gun which appears to be tainted with drugs). I spent over a week - as Chris asked - getting estimates for repairs and replacement of items that could not be repaired. He said he needed them for insurance claim. Said he filed claim but when I asked for a copy he said sharing it would be illegal. THen he called and said the claim would go through and there was a check in the mail - that was a week ago. My guess is asks us to do the work of finding out the worth of damaged goods, files a claim and pockets the money - or gives us a pittance. Also they only delivered part of load and when they came to pick up rest of our belongings (11 PM at night) the men were so drunk/high and belligerant and agressive that we just left, hired a truck and movers the next day to get the rest of our furniture. I had average expectations, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. Two very engaging young men, Kyle and Jacob, showed up on time with smiles on their faces. These guys were great. Chris gave a more than fair price to move us out of our 2300 sq foot home and into a condo. The guys packaged up everything. Nothing was damaged and they worked hard!!!! Not a minute wasted. I would highly recommend these guys. Superb customer service and they were actually 15m early to get us moved which I appreciated. We also had a courtesy call before they arrived so we were ready. Our movers even took a few boxes from us that we decided to donate to goodwill. They told us they'd drop it off for us at their neighboring goodwill. I absolutely don't understand the negative reviews. Word of caution, Chris who booked my move didn't tell me about the 1-hour travel charge to be added to the bill or that I needed cash to pay. First Class Moving DISASTER In order to not be scammed, please look at the "not recommended reviews" on their other Yelp page as well as the BBB, they have claims and bad reviews there, with the exact same nightmare as ours. We moved in May 2014, had them store our items in alleged climate controlled units and they moved us into a house in August 2014. Please know their storage units are not accessible to you, the owner. First, Chris came and gave an estimate and references to call, which we did. It must be relatives/friends of theirs, because they were very good references w/no problems. We were moving from a 5000sq foot home and Chris estimated everything to be moved. We donated a 14 ft truckload of furniture & clothes before our move. Still, our estimate was 7 hours, one truckload and $1000 OVER the in home estimate. We spoke w/Chris about inventorying our items for storage, wiling to pay the extra cost. He said it would take a lot more time and that our things would never be with anyone else's, so he didn't recommend it. More on that below. They showed up late on move out day in a small Budget rental truck. They left at one point during the move, and didn't come back for hours, after we called them several times asking where they were. They claimed one mover had sprained his ankle and they had to get other movers. In actuality they were off doing another job. They did not wrap items, like our $1400 white mattress and literally just shoved it onto a dirty truck. They assured us all items would be wrapped once at the storage. Then the bill came for the 1st month of storage, & was much higher than agreed upon. Chris claims he "miscalculated" the amount of storage we'd need, so he'd charged more. At this point they have our things, and we have no choice but to pay. Move in day, the real disaster begins. They show up w/a small truck & begin running through the house, talking about how they have another job to get to. They were literally throwing things and running into each other. We had friends over helping and professionals doing remodeling. They were shocked at the chaos and lack of care with our items. Boxes started coming in that were discolored and looked wet. Upon opening them, they had candles in them, melted down to nubs. We can only imagine how hot it got in the "climate controlled -air conditioned" storage unit to melt the candles into puddles that soaked the surrounding boxes. Next comes our previously white, king sized pillow top mattress. Never wrapped, brown dirt soaking up the sides, bugs & grass, 3 sets of black, greasy handprints on the sides. One man decides to wrangle it himself, and right in front of us, drags it on the pavement, tearing it. He tells us to get an estimate. 2nd small truck arrives and begins unloading SOMEONE ELSE'S ITEMS. Boxes and furniture. We're horrified, as Chris guaranteed our things would never be with someone else's. Half the truck was full of other people's items. So they have to leave again, to get our things. The storage unit is 7 miles from our house and they were gone for 3 hours. We start calling and they said they "had a lot to do". When they finally came back at 8:30pm, the head mover was completely soaked. Clearly they'd been doing another job again, the one the crew kept referencing that morning. At 8:45pm, he walked in w/our dining room table, broken in half, assuring that Chris already knew and "it would be taken care of". We just needed to get estimates & they would handle it. As they left w/payment in hand, the head mover drops the bomb that they actually hadn't brought everything. There was a bedroom set & 2 other beds still in storage.($3000 dollars worth of furniture) He said he'd bring them the next morning. Of course we never heard from him. 6 calls to Chris & 3 days later, we finally got the rest of our furniture. As damages were discovered,Chris kept saying to get estimates. Per the contract, repair/replacement estimates must be submitted w/in 30 days. We complied. 9 weeks and at least 20 phone calls later (most unanswered, as they do indeed dodge phone calls. If you call from a different number they do pick up) we received $120.00, stating we hadn't opted for the extra insurance. They paid $.60 per pound per article. It's critical to note, if you opt for extra insurance, there's a $500 deductible. They've basically insured themselves to treat your items w/no care whatsoever. Also, what's this game Chris continually plays w/having customers "obtain estimates"? Obviously an attempt to hold off paying their debts. When questioned about replacing the candles, another 4 calls & a week later, a check arrived to cover the candles.
