I've been renting from them for 16 months. The staff onsite is nice and helpful, however the…read morecorporate policies are awful. First, they lured me in with an introductory rate, but made no mention that it was an introductory rate. My rent has increased 42% in 16 months. The possibility of rent increases are in the contract, but that kind of hike needs to be made abundantly clear from the start ("this is an introductory price ..." . I was extremely surprised at all of the increases I've had in just over one year's time. But, they got me. Access to storage is not much longer than normal business hours, which can be problematic. What's worse, they require you to provide proof of insurance or they will automatically bill you for monthly insurance. Unfortunately their central office and local office are not always on the same page, so I will receive notices multiple times a year from each for me to send them my insurance policy, even after I've already done it. In 16 months I've had to be on the phone with them somewhere in the 5 to 10 times range with billing or insurance problems, and add to that multiple emails. I send them stuff and they conveniently don't receive it. Last time, the proof I showed wasn't enough and they needed the declarations page from my actual policy and additional insurance info. I've got to contact my insurance company and find out the information that they want. All of this so that they can charge me an extra $12 a month. This sort of thing happens multiple times per year. Absolute madness. But I have so much stuff in storage that I would have to hire a moving truck to get it out and into a new unit with a new company. They have me over a barrel, and they know it. What an absolute mistake I made renting from this company. Huge regrets. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had renting from a storage space, and I have been doing this for well over 15 years. Save your time (so, so much time) and money and stay away from this company.

I would not recommend this storage facility for valuable furniture, antiques, books, or belongings…read morethat would be difficult to replace. I stored a large amount of personal property here, including antique wood furniture, books, and other belongings. Before moving everything into the unit, I took photographs documenting that my property was dry and undamaged. After the property had been stored for an extended period, I discovered significant water damage and mold. Some of my furniture and other belongings were badly damaged, including items that were valuable and/or irreplaceable. What has been especially frustrating is dealing with the aftermath and trying to determine how the water entered the unit. I have spent a significant amount of time documenting the damage, communicating with the facility, and dealing with the separate SafeLease protection claim. I also strongly recommend NOT purchasing the SafeLease protection offered for your belongings without thoroughly reading the exclusions. I paid for this coverage specifically to protect my property, only to have my claim denied under the flood/surface water exclusion. SafeLease has not adequately explained to me what evidence established that an excluded cause was responsible for the damage or how other possible sources of water intrusion were ruled out. Based on my experience, the protection felt misleading and provided very little help when I actually needed it. I personally feel that paying for the SafeLease protection was a waste of money and would not purchase it again. I understand that unexpected damage can happen, but when you pay to store your belongings, you expect reasonable care in maintaining the facility and protecting customers' property. If you choose to store your belongings here, document absolutely everything before moving in. Take detailed photos of your belongings and the unit, keep all communications, and carefully read both the storage agreement and any separate protection plan. My experience has been extremely disappointing. I lost furniture, books, and personal belongings to water damage and mold, and have spent a considerable amount of time trying to determine what happened and recover my loss. I would not trust this facility with valuable or irreplaceable belongings again, and I would not purchase the SafeLease protection based on my experience.

A single key code of your choosing allows both property entry and cellar entry. Access to the property and cellar is available from 8 AM to 10 PM daily. The LED lighting in the locker area turns on and off automatically and can also be manually switched on or off. Lockers are available in two sizes: 3' x 3' and 4' x 3'. Each locker is approximately 3'7" high. You can buy a lock there or bring your own. As I have moved around the country, I have encountered several wine storage cellars over the years. This one is by far the best in terms of climate controls and ease of access. It's worth checking out.

I called and called (they were open) and no one answered the phone. I left a message saying I had a receipt for my payment but then 2 hours later I received an email saying my rent was past due. So, I drove over there and tried to get an answer about why this was happening. "Girl" at front desk didn't have a clue why $1 was still showing as open, even though I explained Yolanda told me what was due when I brought the check into the office. It was very frustrating. I would not recommend this establishment. My neighbor told me they used to rent there but had their rental amount increased 3x in one year!! I'm going to move out.

First of all, you rent units that are listed at this address, that are NOT even located at this…read moreaddress. You don't bother to give the address of where the rest of the units are. The other address on 71st hidden way back off an alley behind whattaburger off Thomas road. Then those indoor units aren't even climate controlled. After speaking to many people not one person said to me, hey the unit you just paid for isn't at the address it says it is and not only that, they're 104 degrees inside and it gets hotter and stuffier the further into the indoor units, the hotter it is. There's not even fans to move air around. Then when you finally find it you can't get the gate code cuz there's no kiosk to finish the process. I was told to go to Pima rd location . It was almost 9 and it needed to be done no later than that i was told so I could get the code and use the 24hour access I paid 35.00 and put my stuff in there. I looked everywhere but couldn't find it . So I called customer service and as it got to be just minutes away from 9:00 I just needed the guy on the phone to tell me where the kiosk was. As I'm talking to him and explaining the situation while walking as quickly as I could to an area it might be, he kept asking for the address where I was . I told him Pima rd in Scottsdale. That was not good enough. I said I don't know the address. He wanted me to find the address for him. I told bim sir, I'm I'm using my phone to speak to you while walking over to another building: he again said he needed the address. I kept telling him I don't know, but it's the only one on Pima rd in Scottsdale. But he kept repeating it as I'm totally tryin to walk and talk to him. I don't have time stop and swipe my call with him to do a damn google search. I said to him, you work for public storage. You find it. That's your job! Then he asks me for the zip code.... 3or 4 times consecutively and before he begins to repeat it each time I attempt to answer him .. he asks for zip code not allowing me to answer me because he kept doin that instead of letting me answer him. After the 4th time i finally was able to say full zip code. Then he says, that location doesn't have a kiosk! The way he said it was very accusatory as if I'm a dumbass for being there. I told him i was told that's the location to go to. He says , anything else I can help you with ? I said yes, tell your boss I said you do not belong in customer service and thx a lot for making my night harder than it needed to be. The next day I ask for a transfer but I didn't get it in time to be able to unload the truck so my stuff was taken to a friends storage unit in mesa- not at all convenient. Meanwhile the one on 71st not 70th wants me to pay money for rent that's past the 30 days I already paid for and don't even have a unit to use yet. I was told that there's no obligation to rent for more than a month. Well that's not true . Unless you move in on the 1st, you will have to pay for amount of days left in that calendar regardless whether you paid from the 25th to the 25th you will also have to pay an extra for those 5 days . Long story short, they wanted me to pay for the last 6 days of July even before I moved in and after I already paid for a month before they would transfer me
