I have been a customer with Advantage Storage for over a year at the Moon valley location. When I first came to the store asking questions about price, etc., Russell greeted us with a smile and helped us pick the best unit for our needs. He was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us. Recently I had different storage needs. Christina also greeted us with a big smile and went way above and beyond to accommodate us. My son lost his glasses in the move and she went out of her way to help us look for them. I very much appreciate all that they have helped us with. Advantage Storage at 13845 N 9th St in Phoenix is amazing! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Advantage bought the facility from Armored Mini Storage (and have kept the mini armored tank out front!). With the Manager living on site, and personalized access codes, it is very secure. The manager, Russell; and his staff, including his son; could not be more knowledgeable or helpful, and the facility is safe, clean and cool enough that after 15 years, everything was just as we packed it, except for dust on the boxes! There is a U-Haul truck rental on site, which is also very convenient. Russell and crew helped to make moving out (of three 10x10x15? Foot units) painless, which was incredible! They knew issues that might arise and had an array of possible solutions to consider, assuring us that "all would be well" as, thanks to their help, it was! I rarely feel strongly enough to write a review, but this Advantage Storage in Moon Valley is more than "a cut above" other storage sites I have used in the past! read more

I went to Advantage Storage's website and filled out an inquiry for a storage unit. The automated memo I received after filling out this inquiry stated that I'd be hearing from them within 24 hrs. That was six months ago and I haven't heard anything. I'm still looking for a storage unit so last weekend I drove to Advantage Storage to rent a unit in person. There was a sign in the door saying that the office is unattended but someone will check back every :20 minutes. Meanwhile I'm locked outside the building in 110 degree heat. So I left. If this is how they do business, I'd hate to think how much of a PITA it is dealing with them once they have your belongings and money. read more

The lady in the office misled me. I paid my rent on 09/21/2021 and handed the lady my MasterCard. She said, "I can't pro-rate you for next month because the payment's already in progress (and going to be automatically withdrawn Oct. 3rd). I went to Advantage Storage today and was locked out of the building due to "overdue payment"--however, I was billed on Oct 3rd. The movers were on the clock for 45 mins before the office lady areived. I moved out today and won't be recommending them. Do not store your things here! read more

WOW! I had a storage unit here several years ago, before it became ADVANTAGE STORAGE. At the time, the facility and the service was unremarkable......Recently I found myself in need of temporary storage, and what I found was a phenomenal transformation. The facility is extraordinarily clean, and well managed. Michelle was totally accommodating and helpful, in showing me available options, and making me aware of "special" rates on certain units. In fact after committing to a unit, she had the foresight to show me a larger unit, just in case I decided I needed more space. Well that was a good call, because I soon found that I had significantly underestimated my needs. Then there's Mary.......She handles things on an ongoing basis, and was more than accommodating in getting me converted over to the larger discounted unit, after I had signed on for the smaller one. You can just tell that there is a major emphasis on customer service there now. Mary is there during business hours in case I have any questions. She's always helpful, and she is so friendly that I almost always pop in to say hello when I go by to drop something off or retrieve something from my unit. The facility and the people at ADVANTAGE have really made this a great experience this time around! read more

I got a flat tire and turned into the parking lot of advantage storage. Changed my tire and got pretty messy but Michelle who is a staff member met me in the parking lot. She was so kind and gave me water some wet wipes and paper towels to get cleaned up. Very much appreciated and a great sign of a good neighbor and business I would trust. Thank you! read more

In mid January I rented the smallest storage and prepaid two months and left my credit card on file Yesterday I received an aggressive phone call telling me it was time to pay. I had a client in the car. While I was trying to inform the person on the phone of my transaction and that I do not owe she told me to " quit yelling" In no way was I speaking loudly or aggressively and she continued to over talk me for the remainder of the call. I asked for a supervisor and was told she was the manager so I asked for the owner and she laughed and said she would have that person call Today I am getting texts every couple of hours and two emails about my past due account So I went in to the office with my phone recording to again describe my transaction and try to resolve She again told me to stop yelling. I told her I was taping due to her saying this yesterday. I said I also have a witness to your customer service yesterday to which she replied "I am sure anyone that had to deal with you is used to it ". So.... In our "take it or leave it world" I would like to say no matter how convenient this may be there is always another. I will see another and I suggest you consider alternatives also. Is it ridiculous and inconvenient ... why yes it is, but why pay someone who pays someone to treat you like this ? Good luck ! read more

Expensive. The entire building smells of smoke. Manager (who smokes constantly) blamed the smell on smokers in a nearby building smoking near a vent. Since original owner sold in 2016 service has dropped off. read more

We rented a unit for my sister-in-law about a year ago. This is a great place for self storage. The staff was great and the units were great also. I was loading her stuff in a cargo van and it was so helpful that they had a moving dolly. They also had brooms so you can sweep out the units when you are all done! I recommend this self storage facility! read more

Now that the big corporation has taken over, nothing gets done. I have asked 4 times in the past 6 months to have the light over my unit to be fixed. After hearing from the manager that it's in process and emails have been sent for approval, it shows me that once again big corporate America can't even fix a light without bureaucracy and paperwork approval. I guess this is why my rent went up $10 a month. I have been in this facility for over 16 years. May be time to move! Customer service is out the window!!! read more
