I recently hired the Arizona fireman Movers. Their tasks was to move a large entertainment center away from the wall so I could replace certain items not working properly with new items. Once they seen I was having difficulty bending and reaching the immediately they jumped in and actually did the work for me. You talk about moving slow , The movers were very young, both in their 20s. I asked them which fire department they worked for. One explained he was in college, and the other said he raced BMX bikes professionally. It quickly became apparent that they weren't experienced movers. It took them an hour just to take apart my king-size bed. The day before, a friend and I moved all 70 boxes ourselves in about five hours total, including loading and unloading. I hired the movers only for the large furniture: a king-size bed, two nightstands, a dresser, a bench, a 65-inch TV, a TV stand, a sofa, a coffee table, and an end table. Moving those items just four miles took them 6.75 hours, which is what I was billed for. After the first hour and a half, they had only taken apart the bed and moved the mattress downstairs. I asked why it was taking so long because it honestly felt like they were dragging their feet. Had I known they weren't actually firefighters, I never would have hired them. I chose this company because my neighbor had used them a few months earlier. I watched that move, and they were in and out very quickly. She also told me nothing was damaged, which gave me confidence in hiring them. Although I was frustrated with how long the move took, I still tipped them 10% using my credit card. I was then surprised to learn there was a 4% credit card processing fee. Since Square charges businesses 2.6% plus 10 cents per transaction, I felt that passing along a 4% fee was excessive, so I deducted that amount from the tip. They used Square to process my transaction. As a small business owner in Scottsdale, I understand the cost of processing credit cards. While I would not use this service again. I was also disappointed that the company's name implied the movers were firefighters when they were not. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I was charged two hours of travel time coming and going to my place when they were getting ready to leave I googled travel time back to surprise and it said 43 minutes I was billed for an hour when I said something he said that they were going past Surprise to the yard that they had to return the truck too. Response to the owners reply The bed has hex screws holding it together, so the only reason it would be difficult to take apart is if you didn't have the proper tools. The fact that you wish you could provide bulky, glistening calendar movers has absolutely nothing to do with anything I wrote in my review or with the efficiency of the movers. I want to be a billionaire, but that doesn't mean I'm going to become one. Likewise, using a name that gives people the impression they are supporting local firefighters is misleading. I see that you don't take constructive criticism well. I stand by my original review and was simply sharing my honest experience. read more

We're a little too old to be moving our own furniture, so when the carpet needed replacement we called these guys. Booking was straightforward. They arrived promptly at 6am day one and everything was neatly and carefully moved to the only tile areas of the house and the garage. As promised, they were done before the carpet guys came at 8 (with time to spare!). The next morning two more strong guys showed up and put everything back. We had AZ Firemen move a couple of items from our home to our new home. Definitely make sure you pay attention and monitor things. We had 2 movers who did not walk with a purpose. They dragged time out doing things like carrying one cushion at a time, arranging straps in the back of truck over and over again, slowly folding blankets up after they would move each piece of furniture, going on their phones in the back of the truck while just hanging out until they saw us coming over to see how things were going. Also, name would imply movers are firefighters, which they aren't. Also, make sure to follow them to the next location to insure further time isn't wasted. read more

Professionalism, transparency of pricing, punctuality, clear communication- above all else, excellent customer service - these are not just "goals" for how AZ Firemen Movers treats their customers. It's apparent these are their core values. We did not have the best move- ok, it was downright horrible! (Mostly due to the fact that we packed up a 2400 sq ft home in 2 days and moved about 2500 across the country without a place to stay- stress doesn't even begin to explain it) It was the Encyclopedia Brittanica explanation of Murphy's Law in that everything that could have gone wrong- did go wrong. The anticipation of opening that moving van (just about the ONLY control we had during our chaotic move was in that van) only to be reduced to a sobbing mess because quite a few of our items were damaged beyond repair (our dining table destroyed to splinters). I was told it would be pointless to contact AZ Firemen Movers, they could/would do nothing. Why would they do anything? The laws are strange- every quality moving company will tell you that, and if they try to sell you "insurance," RUN! I just wanted to let AZ Firemen Movers know, so maybe it wouldn't happen again to someone else. I was somewhat prepared for the "not my problem" response, or better yet- no reply at all. I was blown away when Marty emailed back and within minutes was talking to me on the phone. He really wanted to speak with me, it was obvious he was concerned. There was something different, he was actually empathetic to my situation. I was not a number to him, I was a person. My family was important. He never made excuses, he listened to my concerns, he was proactive and provided a quick resolution because in his words, "it's the right thing to do." He detailed his appreciation for customer feedback and assured me this was a fluke. His pure honesty is what makes this company stand above all the rest because I know he strives to continue to find improvements. AMAZING! I used this company when I moved from Flagstaff to Phoenix a few months ago, and again, just recently moving into a new place. They are friendly, efficient, and take great care in making sure your belongings do not get damaged. They were able to move an entire living room set plus a 2 bedroom, including dressers, entertainment centers, TV, and multiple beds, all up three flights of stairs, and only an hour. Mike, the owner was great and answered any questions I had throughout the whole moving process. We had two parts to our move, one to a storage unit and then the other to our house when it was available. On 7/24 the Az Firemen Movers LLC moved our house and garage FULL of belongings. It took 2 trips in their large truck. It was about 108 degrees ourside. These terrific guys worked their butts off! They were friendly, professional and worked non-stop to clear out the old location and move us into the new one. Honestly, I cannot praise them enough! The move was flawless! Ryan and the other 3 members of his team worked together as one unit never stopping the entire day. And, in case you are wondering, no, I had never met any of them before. I also must mention their in-office person, Sherry. Since this was our first professional move many questions came up on the best way to pack. These guys knocked it out of the park. I was expecting an all day move, they started at 7:30am and were completely done by 10:30. They asked where we wanted everything placed. They took extra care of all furniture and boxes and and made sure everything was protected during the move. Not a single misplaced or broken item. This company was hired to move an elderly couple from one facility to another. They were starting at 8 am. Which is fine, I informed the lady who answered that I may be a few minutes late. And I informed the daughter that I would be there as close to 8 am as possible. I was also told that it was ok to pack the few things they had up that same morning. I am a care giver for my grandparents. I have very busy mornings transfering my grma up out of bed and getting breakfast for them. And all the things that go along with that. Upon arriving the crew that was present was very curt and rude. And had the staff at the facility emptying drawers into boxes which I was informed didn't need to be done. They continued on at a snails pace. There were several boxes That had been packed and ready for them before they were done loading the truck. They then closed up the truck. Without loading the boxes. When asked if they would have just left those belongings the reply was We expect our customers to be 100 percent ready when we come. We only move the large items. I said well I am not one of their customers just the neighbor who has tried to help their daughter who is out of town. I was told I could pack up the same day they arrived. I stated that there wasnt much to pack. I arrived at 820. And packed those boxes ready before they completed the larger items. Yet they shut up the truck and didn't load the boxes. Prompting my question. The daughter made arrangements for them to drop a few items off at good will. Where they complained that good will will charge them 40 dollars to dispose of the mattresses. The daughter was aware of this and thought that would be added to the bill. One fireman told me I didn't have to be a b.tch. Why was that? Because I asked about the packed boxes they left? Because I was told I could pack up the same day? Because I was 20 minutes late in arriving to help the move free of charge on my part? Here yall are being paid atleast 80 dollars to help older generation move. And you act like that towards people. This ain't the military. Your senior citizens may not have the abilities to be 100 percent ready. And the people who are helping out a family in need around the responsibilities of their own caregiving for their family. And yall are fireman. So sad at the lack of compassion, patience. I did not appreciate nor deserve such contempt from them. Especially when I had already made clear the day before I would be late, and was told it was ok to pack them up that same morning. They didn't have alot to pack, that is until the staff at the facility started removing everything from the drawers. Bottom line you don't cuss or call names like a child the person helping for free the family you are being paid to move. I woukd not recommend this company and if my home was on fire and they showed up, I would let my home burn before I allowed them to help. I needed assistance moving a non-slate 7ft pool table, and had the worst time finding anyone to help. Pool table movers wouldn't touch it because it isn't slate, and most movers wouldn't move one or two items only. I hired them and they were slow and unorganized and brought a trailer that was too small for the job to boot. I wish I could say the experience was good but one of the guys was always following the others and not really working and they were not only the most expensive move ever but I ended up having to manage the move of the rest of my stuff because they weren't prepared to move with the right trailer.
