Had a wonderful dinner here during restaurant week. Loved the ambiance of the place and the staff was friendly. For apps, we had eggplant rollatini and calamari. The eggplant was delicious while the calamari was decent--however, nothing special about it. We did enjoy the additional apps that were complimentary to your meal similar to how Carbone does it. For entries, we had the 50-layered lasagna and the veal parm. The lasagna was definitely unique and tasty and I thought the veal parm was even better. The pasta that came with the veal parm was delicious as well. For dessert, although small, we enjoyed the tiramisu. I don't personally like carrot cake, but my wife said it was ok. The one thing I would not get is the espresso martini (they pour it out of a box for $18). Had I known that, I would not have gotten it. While the drink was fine, I'd much prefer having a bartend craft his own espresso martini, but that's just me. Additionally, either the ice or the water tasted funky. I would look into that. Overall, we enjoyed our meal here and we were stuffed. I am notoriously picky with Italian restaurants, but this was enjoyable. read more

Excited when we booked on July 9, 2024 for Dallas Restaurant week 2 for 8/17/24. Disappointed when Restaurant week menu was cancelled upon arrival. The menu was different and no longer a 3 course meal as we had planned. The lobster ravioli is a favorite elsewhere. Here it was small pieces and hard to taste the lobster, as well as too much sauce on top. Caesar salad was shared and not worth the price of $18 for the portion. Snapper New Orleans delicious. Carrot cake was the shared dessert and not disappointed. We are world travelers and felt the service was exceptional. Food not so much. read more

The service here was some of the best service my wife and I have ever experienced. Their team was great, from the moment you walk in to the time you leave. The food was over hyped. I had the Lobster Ravioli which was good but not great. My wife had the 100 Layer Lasagna she enjoyed it. Overpriced for what you get. I would say it's a rich man's Olive Garden. Quick note: as of September 2021, they were only accepting reservations through phone. Fachini was wonderful. One of the best Italian experiences in the DFW area. The quality, ambience, and staff are perfect. The food- oof. We started with the lobster ravioli and Texas wagyu carpaccio. The Raviolo was perfect, and the sauce was to die for. Big enough to share, but I was trying to sneak in a few extra bites the whole time!! The wagyu carpaccio was also excellent. "Wagyu" and "melt in your mouth" are two things that are always paired together, and this was no exception. The wagyu immediately melts when you put it on your tongue, and the cheese follows to create a nice flavor profile. There was a bit too much arugula for me, but something nitpicky that doesn't take away from the dish. The rigatoni a la vodka was also incredible- the pasta is VERY al dente, which I've definitely never tried before. Before eating I thought "wow, there's not much sauce here" but after trying it I realized it was the perfect amount. The tiramisu- goodbye world!! Wonderful way to cap off the meal. It is moist, but not too moist. Best of all- the portion is big enough to share for two. The service- from start to finish, great. Our server was kind and diligent, and did a great job of explaining the dishes. They have an incredible wine list and incredible menu- make the most of it!! Super cute second story spot in HP village. The dimly lit restaurant gave a very romantic atmosphere to dinner. Dinner started with an assortment of bread and cured meat for the table. This was probably my favorite food of the dinner and this was the complimentary start. Service was not what you would expect for the spot. Went back. Again. We like the food. Wow. This place is a dumpster fire. The servers are robots in tuxedos who talk with zero enthusiasm and just robot talk and write your order and off they run. Weird. Management still is uncomfortable. The rude lady Christy is still there doing her I'm better than you and I'll show you attitude. It's mind blowing. Exceptional experience! Really love this place although it's easy to miss. 50-layer lasagna, linguine, and Wagyu were favorites and we ate family-style. I have nothing but incredible things to say about Fachini. To start, the ambiance is beautifully classy with very intimate spacing. The service was also top-tier and very attentive, especially for recommendations on their menu selection and wine list. They only have Italian wines on their wine list, which I found unique. While it may be intimidating for those who are not well-versed in Italian wines, our waiter was able to understand the California wines and profiles we prefer and gave us some options, allowing us to try before we purchased a bottle. Before ordering our food, we were given cured meat, pickled vegetables, house-made bread, and ricotta. All of them were unique and delicious. For an appetizer, we ordered the lobster ravioli, which was truly delicious and cooked to perfection. Our main courses included their special 100-layer lasagna alla Sunday and Rigatoni alla Vodka, both of which were cooked to perfection and captured the authenticity of Italian cuisine. We also ordered a side of meatballs which were unique and delicious. Additionally, our waiter gave us the Parmesan whipped potatoes to try, and they turned out to be some of the best whipped potatoes I have ever had, with incredible flavor and a light and airy texture. To finish, we concluded our meal with peach cobbler that did not disappoint. The caramelization and softness of the peaches themselves were sublime. Another wonderful meal at Fachini! If you have not tried this place, the ricotta they bring with the focaccia is almost worth the visit by itself. As usual, everything we ordered was great: calamari (extremely good), flounder, snapper, penna vodka...all great. The best dish was the veal chop. Service was very good, however the kitchen was slow with the mains (it was a busy Friday night). The dining room is always noisy when full. Italian done right. We had rezzy for 530 but nightmare traffic landed us there 630 and the hostess was gracious and seated us right away. We were started out with anti pasta of pickled vegetables, fresh bread, creamy burrata and prosciutto. Absolutely divine fresh pasta that's done al dente. I was so excited to finally get to try Fachini, but was unfortunately overall disappointed with the experience. The food was pretty bland. The eggplant rollatini was my favorite dish of the night. Yummy and flavorful. The Caesar salad was not very special. The veal Marsala was the biggest let down of the night. It was kind of dry and bland. Usually Marsala is so flavorful. Visited Fachini on a Wednesday night for my husbands birthday. I made a reservation and accidentally booked the bar seating area vs the main dining - something to look out for if you'd like to be seated in the main dining area. To our surprise, the restaurant was completely full for a late dinner on a Wednesday night. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was classy and definitely upheld to the Highland Park Village vibe. For appetizer we ordered the eggplant rollatini and for dinner we got the vodka pasta and chicken to share. The eggplant rollatini was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was also very tasty, though nothing special for the price and restaurant. The vodka pasta was decent, though I may just be a tough critic as this is my go-to at most Italian restaurants throughout Dallas. Our server was attentive and even grabbed the Salami from our table on his own knowing we didn't eat pork. For dessert, we got the chocolate lava cake. Was visiting Dallas for the weekend and ordered a to go order. Was slightly disappointed they didn't offer a chicken parmesan dish so went with the chicken limone dish on their menu. Upon arrival we sat at the bar and waited for our order. I checked the bag and asked for to go silverware and they told me they didn't have any. I found this quite bizarre and annoying since I was out of town how was I supposed to eat the food. So my friend and I had no choice but to eat our to go food at the bar with their utensils. I had ordered the 100 layer lasagna and a Cesare salad. Both were top notch. I was impressed. The lasagna was cheesy warm goodness. I thoroughly enjoyed the tomato sauce and the ricotta cheese on top. The salad was excellent. Lettuce was fresh and the dressing was on point. My friend has ordered the chicken limone and I took a few bites. This was the best item of the 3. Chicken was tender, cooked perfectly and the sauce was full of citrusy flavors. If I come back this is what I'm getting hands down. Overall was a pleasant experience but they need to get to go silverware. That's a given at a restaurant. read more

I would give it 3.5 stars not only 3 mainly on service and lack of attention We went to Fachini for my husband's birthday, which I had previously told them when I made the reservation"twice". My disappointment was when we saw two deserts come out from the restaurant with a candle, she asked us if we were celebrating "yes" and we basically got a piece of chocolate molten cake tossed at us without a candle. I would've brought my own but I was particularly busy that afternoon with no time to spare, hence why I made sure to tell them we were celebrating previous to the reservation. My Flounder Picatta was a little too much butter and not enough picatta. The chopped salad and Rigatoni were excellent and very nice portions. It wasn't our first time and probably won't be our last but I will rethink my order and try not to make a celebration out of dinner there :-( read more

This place is amazing. Truly one of my favorite Italian places I've had. That does not negate the poor service that was given today. The hostess hung up on me, and then when I called back she gaslit me to think I hung up, after I sat there for about 7 min. Then I called back and she threatened to hang up on me when I read my card too quickly for her. The management did absolutely nothing and kind of made me feel worse? This time, we brought our friends from out of town to experience the restaurant. Our server was Greggory and he was an excellent server. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We loved him! Definitely request him as your server. I love the little complimentary snacks they bring out while you wait on your drinks - pickled veggies, garlic butter bread with whipped ricotta cheese and some type of charcuterie meat. For apps, we ordered the fried calamari - so tasty! Lightly battered, perfectly fried and you could really taste the calamari and not just the oil from it being fried. For dinner, we ordered the fettuccine funghi (10/10), rigatoni alla vodka (7/10) and the cappelletti bolognese (8/10). I always order the fettuccine - it's not too heavy of a dish and the mushrooms are delicious. I wish the rigatoni had a little more sauce. Half way through the dish, it starts to thicken and curdle a little bit. Still good though. For dessert, it was my friend's birthday, they brought out a complimentary carrot cake. Fachini is a beautiful and delicious restaurant. The menu is filled with entrees I've never heard of before such as a 100 layer lasagna!! Furthermore, their customer service is spectacular. Our waiter was so engaging and kind and the hosts were welcoming. We ordered the lasagna of course, calamari, eggplant appetizer, pasta a la vodka, lobster ravioli, some kind of mushroom fettuccine, and fried veal. I would recommend everything, but the veal. It was kinda tough. Also I would warn a few people on the mushroom fettuccine, the fettuccine was fresh, very thin, and very soft. I personally like soft pasta so it didn't bother me. However, my mom doesn't so she really didn't like this dish. On the other hand, the pasta a la vodka had VERY al dents pasta. I would definitely return, 8.5/10! read more

I was able to come here on a busy night, pre-storm, pre-valentine's day and the team was very accommodating with my reservation being lost. Here is the breakdown: Food- let's start with the free appetizers. The bread with some toast feel was to die for. It came with Salami and cheese-- it was delicious. I ordered the 100 layer lasagna. Very delightful and light. Was scared that was going to be very heavy but it wasn't. Ended with the tiramisu: very generous portion... and equally as good. The one MAJOR complaint I have is that the staff changes the tables cloths right beside you while you're eating and WHIPS the cloth as they place it over the table (think folding clothes). VERY unsanitary and unsettling. I'd heard this place was delicious, so I'm glad I was able to finally give it a try! Fachini is located in Highland Park Village. When we visited, their sign wasn't lit up, so we almost passed by it! It's right by YO! Lobster, so if you see that restaurant, look to its left and you'll find the stairs to Fachini. We had a reservation for 2 on a Tuesday evening, so we were seated immediately. But the restaurant wasn't too busy at the time. Service was very efficient - our waiter came up within minutes to get our waters and give us the cocktail menu. They also gave us some pickled veggies, slices of cured meat, and some garlic bread with olive oil + butter! Delicious start to a delicious dinner. I got the del capo (Earl Grey Infused Teeling + Amaro Vecchio + Allspice Dram + Oleo Saccharum TX Wildflower Honey + Angostura) - I've been really interested in earl grey infused drinks lately. This one was a bit too strong on the alcohol for me, but I still enjoyed it. The ice cube was super clear and pretty! For our appetizer, we went with the mussels salsicce. Very good with the tomato sauce. We also got the chopped salad with the red wine dressing. Refreshing. Then, for entrees, we got the veal chop marsala and cappelleti bolognese. The interesting thing about the bolognese is that the meat is wrapped inside the pasta! Interesting concept. The veal was tender, juicy. It went very well with the pieces of mushrooms on top! Our waiter suggested wine pairings with our entrees, and he did very well! My barbaresco red complemented the veal perfectly. We ended our meal with the tiramisu. We were very surprised when it was brought out because it's so large! We finished less than half of it. But it was so good! So soft, the coffee flavor wasn't too strong, not too sweet either!
