I'm fairly certain I've submitted a review for Goldies in the past. But just in case, Its our new favorite spot. We discovered Goldies last fall, we were looking for a new place to eat. We were huge fans of Meddlesome Moth(which had closed a few months prior). The beer list didn't excite me(I'm a beer snob) but the bar vibe and the great staff quickly made me forget about that. We eat there twice a month now and when we don't get in on a regular schedule, we really miss it. I'm a huge fan of the steak frites and my wife loves the weekly pasta dishes which never disappoint. The cocktails are great and they're made by the friendliest barkeeps in town(Matt, Christine) Christopher keeps the place flowing and Brittani(owner) is great and always welcoming. The overall vibe is comfy and totally unpretentious. Goldies is a hidden gem but has quickly become a popular spot. Great spots like this don't stay hidden very long. Highly recommended! Might have caught them on an off night? Ambiance, cleanliness, overall "vibe" is still perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Service is great, no issues there. Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it. read more

Love Goldie's for a special dinner out including happy hour! Last time we were there, Charlene was our server and was really wonderful and enjoyable to engage with. We got there close to opening and didn't have a reservation but got right in. We got to sit in a booth, the atmosphere is casually, elegant, and cozy. The chef staff does amazing work. They also have a new menu. I forgot to take photos of enough things, but everything we had was delicious. Goldies is on our restaurant rotation! OMG. My cousins took us here. Let me just say the Bone Marrow Bruschetta is to die for. I could eat a whole order of this and a glass of wine and I would be happy! We had two orders between 4 of us. So so good. Dinner was two orders of the Home Style Pork Chop, which were excellent! One order of the Magic Chicken Thighs which I would definitely order for myself next time! Big order and so so good! I was looking for a lighter dinner so opted for the Tataki off of the appetizer menu. Yellowtail sliced thin and cooked to perfection with ponzu, crispy onion and wasabi. It was an awesome mix of tastes and textures. Oh, I can't forget the banana split we shared for dessert! WOW! Different but delicious. Wow! I've probably driven by this place a thousand times and never paid attention to it. My lady and I were in the mood for something different last night and saw some great reviews for this place so we decided to try it. We were blown away! Very intimate place with a small bar but we were seated in the back room. Very cool. Our server was Patrick and he was a rock star. We had some delicious martinis and the mussels to start with. That sauce! Lady had the chopped salad and I tried the chicken thighs. Delightful! Instead of the usual mashed potatoes or cheesy grits, they included yams. Made it more of a Thanksgiving meal. Great food, ambiance and service. This place will now be in our rotation for sure! read more

I made reservations at Goldie's for my sister's birthday and I'm so glad I did! Upon entering you're met with the most cozy, warm decor. Dim lights, velvet seating and floral arrangements throughout. We were immediately greeted by the most amazing hostess. He instantly lead us to a larger section of restaurant and we were seated in a 4 top: half standard chair and half booth. Minutes later our waiter arrived and took our drank order. There's so many wonderful cocktails to choose from. We opted for the Pony Boy, Classic Martini and NY Old Fashioned. All of the drinks were exemplified true craft; well balanced and flavorful. Now.. the food. Absolute perfection! I'm just going to let the pictures do the talking. Goldies was great. My wife and I trekked down to Lake Highlands to specifically check out this restaurant and the meal was just great. We started with a couple of martinis which were perfectly stirred deliciously smooth. The beet hummus was great. My wife got the Hot Mess - think a bucatini in a Marcela Hazan type red sauce. It was simple, had some heat, and the sauce tasted very... fresh? I got the pork chop which I thought was slightly over done, but not enough to take a star. Perhaps half a star? That's not really an option here and hardly worth mentioning. We got an extra side of fries and fuck me those were great. They were tossed with some parsley and roasted garlic. Service was great. I don't really recall our server too much, but their managing partner Brittni was super attentive and took care of anything we needed. read more

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and so glad we did! The food and drinks were amazing and so was the service. The restaurant is beautiful with neighborhood vibe. We loved all the dishes, braised beef egg noodles, the branzino, the magic chicken thighs, the banana split. The ponyboy gimlet and monkeybird were great too. We visited Goldie's December 2025, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The service was flawless; Charlie, our server was warm and friendly and made the evening feel so special. The restaurant itself was lovely, and the attention to detail was impressive (for example: without asking, my white napkin was exchanged to a black one as I was wearing a black dress). The food was incredible, and for the first time maybe ever, we were surprised that the bill was less than we expected! I had an amazing dining experience! The bone marrow bruschetta soaking into the toast must have been a treat, and the magic chicken thighs with that crispy skin sound irresistible. The homestyle pork chop was juicy and paired perfectly with the German potatoes and broccoli. And a moist German chocolate cake is the cherry on top! Kudos to Kathy for providing excellent service. Yelp led us to this non-descript place and what a great surprise! Cutest little hole-in-the wall! Our waiter was marvelous (don't remember his name but I'll call him 'Mr. Cheers.' The wife and I split the Session Salad which was very tasty! Had the charcuterie board and homestyle porkchop. I'm still dreaming about the porkchop weeks later. Parking area looked busy in general though. Inside of the restaurant is beautiful and has a nice ambiance. A sweet young lady was our server; she was very attentive. The place is on the smaller side, but it makes for a more romantic atmosphere, especially with the lighting. Their bourbon selection is great and the prices are reasonable. We went to Goldie's for an early dinner and found the staff super attentive. The ambiance was relaxed, and we were dressed up a bit (because we never do and we thought it would be fun), but there were plenty of folks in all levels of casual to nice. I ordered the steak and it was sumptuous and just about melted in my mouth. My husband had the pork chop. I think he won dinner. The roasted? Charred? Broccoli could have been a little more done for my taste and still have been crunchy. After he saw some at the next table, my husband ordered the Mac and Cheese. I'm gluten free so didn't try it, but I was told it was tasty and worth the carbs. We shared the cheesecake and dug in before I thought to grab a pic. It was amazing and I was able to enjoy it without eating the gluten containing crust. Gee, more for my hubby. Someone had to take one for the team. lol. read more

Wife and I did a date night here and had an overall good experience. Fairly small dining area, unique interior design to the place, vibey with a neat ambiance. Pretty loud inside, we're 33 and 30, so not being super picky here but having a conversation across the table wasn't easy. Started off with the bone marrow bruschetta, solid appetizer here, the toast points were grilled to perfection and had a great crisp, plentiful bone marrow on each one. I got the crispy cod, served with what I believe was fried green onion and a slaw on the side, along with a secret sauce. The batter on the fish, perfection, crispy, flavorful, seasoned well.
