Omg I really enjoyed my solo date! Skylar was my waiter, he was so attentive. Although he's fairly new he navigated the menu like a long time employee. I asked for his recommendations, everything he recommended was super yummy.. I started with some deviled eggs! The splash of hot sauce complimented the eggs so well and the crunch of the bacon put a nice twist to it. I really enjoyed the filling it wasn't too sweet nor did it have a lot of extra ingredients. 10/10 for sure!! For my entree I went with the blackened snapper, I subbed mashed potatoes instead of the potato salad. I'm very particular about my potato salad I was too nervous to try it. After speaking with Paula I wish I would've tried it. No worries I'll come back just to try it. This snapper is good some of the best blackened snapper I've had. It was so moist and flaky the cream sauce made it even better. Chefs kiss for sure! 10/10 For dessert I had the flourless chocolate cake, if you're a chocolate lover this will be your go to. Although it says cake to me it had more of like a fudge texture. The raspberry sauce really helped out with cutting the sweetness of the chocolate. The restaurants fairly small, they have a huge selection of alcohol. I wasn't able to order a drink I was still sobering up from the night before. The bartender I didn't get her name she was super pleasant and helpful as well! I'll most definitely recommend lounge here

Lounge Here is another East Dallas favorite. We met friends for dinner before Snowmegeddon happened. What makes them unique is their groovy, kitschy design. They've been a great add to the hood for a long time. The food is solid and they know how to cocktail. The menu changes each season as the bartenders come up with interesting creations. Their execution is really good and we're lucky to have them. I had two nice cocktails. Their Espresso Martini and Vieux Carre were perfect for a cold night. Everyone makes an Espresso Martini these days, but they can be hit or miss. It was the perfect balance of coffee, slightly sweet and frothy. Well done!! If you haven't had a Vieux Carre (photo 4) you should. It's a classic boozy rye cocktail with cognac, Benedictine, sweet vermouth, Peychauds and Angostura bitters. This boozy masterpiece is a classic New Orleans recipe named after the French Quarter ("old square") and created in the late 1930s by Walter Bergeron at the Hotel Monteleone's Carousel Bar. The delicious ingredients symbolize the diverse cultures of the French Quarter. Its well-documented origin story and rich flavor profile make it a classic staple of cocktail history. Go enjoy the fantastic service and quality at Lounge Here next time you're for a groovy evening. Salute @thejohnnycocktail #cocktails #cocktailphotography #neworleans Vieux Carre 3/4 oz. Rye 3/4 oz. Cognac 3/4 oz. Sweet Vermouth 1/2 oz. Benedictine Peychauds Bitters Angostura Bitters Luxardo Cherry

My husband and I came in here after an evening at the arboretum and really enjoyed the experience! We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting Will. He was super helpful and patient as we had never been before! He recommended an off menu special of chicken wrapped in prosciutto on a bed of mashed potatoes with Asparagus and it was good!! We also really enjoyed the laid back but sophisticated atmosphere, it seemed like a great spot for a date or a dinner with a small group of friends. It's a smaller spot so I'd think a party of like 6+ check to see reservations.

Excellent vibes. Incredible, welcoming service. Good food. I wanted a little more out of the final product for each dish. Proteins were a little dryer and over seasoned, but maybe it was an off night!' Nothing at all was bad. Everything was good. But none of the food matched the excellence of the vibe and service.

Derby - 3/5 Scarlet - 3/5 Deviled Eggs - 4/5 Steak Frites - 3/5 Linguini Pasta - 3/5 Service was fantastic, a friendly and attentive waiter. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or dinner night friends. It is close and intimate, and even when full isn't too loud that you need to strain to hear. The food was decent overall. The steak was cooked medium but some parts of it came out more chewy than others. It also felt a bit over salted. The fries were tasty though some came out soggy while others came out crunchy. The pasta tasted alright. The drinks were about the same, good enough but not good enough to warrant another one.

Deviled eggs, the hot sauce is a great touch

The Lounge Here has an upscale 70s feel to it without being pretentious. It has been an East Dallas staple for several years now and we're making a point to consciously and intentionally frequent restaurants in our immediate area to keep the character of our neighborhood alive. We grabbed a couple of appetizers and settled in with some drinks, a steamy, boozy chai drink for me and as always for my husband a whiskey, neat. He had the same for round two but I decided to try something different, their cocktails have quirky names and mine was a Pear-odactyl. A martini style cocktail with pear liqueur, lime and I don't recall the other ingredients but it was delicious and I highly recommend it. We can't wait to come back and try their actual entrees but whether you live in the area or have to make the drive across town Lounge Here is definitely worth the visit, I promise you'll love it.

We were huge fans of Meddlesome Moth(which had closed a few months prior). The beer list didn't excite me(I'm a beer snob) but the bar vibe and the great staff quickly made me forget about that. We eat there twice a month now and when we don't get in on a regular schedule, we really miss it. I'm a huge fan of the steak frites and my wife loves the weekly pasta dishes which never disappoint. The cocktails are great and they're made by the friendliest barkeeps in town(Matt, Christine) Christopher keeps the place flowing and Brittani(owner) is great and always welcoming. The overall vibe is comfy and totally unpretentious. Goldies is a hidden gem but has quickly become a popular spot. Great spots like this don't stay hidden very long. Highly recommended! Carter L

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.

At one point, our food was delivered while we were outside getting fresh air. The food was also disappointing. The scallops and chicken were extremely salty and lacked flavor, and the chicken was overcooked. When we brought it up, the server did little to address it. To top it off, we saw two large cockroaches around our table, which was especially noticeable in the dark dining room. The cocktails were the highlight, but overall, the service, food, pacing, and cleanliness did not meet expectations. One star. Very disappointing, and I'm not sure I'll be back.
