Very unique drinks offered along with classics. Intimate, dim seating. The Inappropriate Beet Pun (London dry gin, strega, beet, red pepper, orange juice, lemon, honey, goat cheese coconut foam) tasted very beet/earthy... ngl I liked drinking the bottom part separately from the goat cheese foam. They tasted better individually than together. Others' drinks were mostly good! Especially, the earl Grey cocktail in a teacup. Service was knowledgeable and fast.
Apothecary offers customers a unique drinking and dining experience through its use of two different options between its Archive section and its Alchemy section, both utilizing their own separate spaces of the same building. That's not where the differences stop as the Archive menu provides more traditional cocktails and a diverse array to choose from, with drinks you may be more familiar with. Alchemy on the other hand offers a more experimental approach to their drink menu, including creative cocktails that seem eclectic and never been tried before, using unusual ingredients or prepared in a unique way, but if you are feeling adventurous, I'd highly recommend trying the latter. Keep in mind, when entering Alchemy, the inside is very dark so if you want to see properly I would recommend sitting outside if it isn't too hot. To start, my friends and I ordered the truffle fries for the table and they were highly ranked in my opinion for best truffle fries in Dallas. They were perfectly crispy and flavored well with the truffle seasoning. For drinks, from the alchemy menu, we ordered the I Dream of Kiwi (my choice), Kaleidoscope Eyes, and Inappropriate Beet Pun. My drink was made up of bamboo tea gin, kiwi coconut water, plum wine, and kiwi boba. I liked the sweetness mixed with tartness and the boba balls added a nice touch. Additionally we ordered the pineapple soft serve margaritas (it was my first time experiencing soft serve margs) and I really enjoyed Apothecary's version. The pineapple flavor was tangy alongside the creaminess of the ice cream. And there was a nice chili salt garnish (similar to tajin) added on top. For food, I ordered the Lil' Thuggies, a hilarious name for a dish that is actually very delicious. It consisted of popcorn chicken nuggets, cooked in sweet tea brine and spiced flour, served with a side of epazote ranch and korean wing sauce respectively. My friends ordered the Japanese elotes and Muhammara (roasted red pepper & walnut spread, greek oil, sea salt, microgreens, grilled baguette). Both very tasty as well, with the elotes having a cream sauce on top. Overall I can't wait to go back to apothecary and maybe try the other side next time.

We visited Alchemy and loved the atmosphere. The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. One of the best parts is the happy hour offered every day until 6:30 PM, with all "Over the Counter" cocktails for $12 and 50% off food. It's one of the better happy hour deals in Dallas, especially considering the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience. We'll definitely be back.
Started at Archive and ended the night at Alchemy (two separate reservations for a Saturday night.) Was pleasantly surprised their happy hour included Saturday and went until 6:30pm. Ordered a couple "Over the Counter" cocktails - frozen pineapple margarita and an old fashioned. Happy hour also included a lot of food options so we chose to just order a bunch off of that - Icelandic Hotdog, Caviar Chip (both bite sized), oysters, beef cheek tacos, and a caesar salad and burger to split. Was more than enough! We also tried the frozen Irish Coffee and Horseplay (horseradish agua fresca) and then went for our second reservation at Alchemy. Alchemy is more experimental. Here we tried a kimchi based cocktail and the sauerkraut cake. Food and drinks were all phenomenal and the atmosphere of both bars was moody and elegant. Definitely plan to come back to try more drinks! All wait staff were very friendly and the owner even stopped by to chat with us.
Ugh so this place was super hyped for us and we were so excited to try it. The interior for sure is such a vibe and very pretty. And the food was yummy! If quite overpriced. The drinks though were horrific. Way too weird and food-based and difficult to swallow. Not a fan
I went for happy hour on Tuesday. I had previously only went when it was smaller and next door so when I entered, I was initially confused by the place. The staff was very inviting and I felt seen and talked to. I ordered: Icelandic hot dog: without happy hour price this would have been 7$. I would not recommend anyone order it at that price but for happy hour half off price, it was more reasonable. Scallop tostada thing: flavors were good. I think full price it was 6 or 8 dollars but for half price it was totally worth it and an interesting bite with food acidity Salmon dip: was gooey and huge and about 17$. I think the pieces of smoked salmon were a little too big for the chip. Pineapple dole whip drink: 12$ happy hour prices. It was Soo yummy and I loved the tajin on top and it was an alcoholic ice cream. Yumm Only fans: also a pretty good drink. Smooth but I would get the pineapple drink again. Overall great experience ,will come back to try some of the other menu items
This was the first bar I visited while in Greenville and I absolutely loved the vibe of it. There were three different seating options but my friend and I chose to do bar seating! The ambiance is super moody but also really social, everyone was so easy to talk to! Our bartender did an amazing job at the drinks and recommending us where to visit. I ordered a birthday champagne, which was very light and fruity! My friend got an "only fans" which had tequila, passion fruit, and orange! It was also a really sweet and refreshing drink. For food we ordered Thursday's specials which included at cost caviar bumps and 2$ dressed east coast gulf oysters. The oysters were very briny and flavorful, and the caviar was very creamy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice date nice spot or place to take photos!
Went on a Friday night and while it was busy we were able to be seated at the bar. We tried a bunch of different drinks, all were very savory. The soft serve frozen margarita was really interesting - super smoky and not quite as I expected. I can't wait to go back and try some of their food!
Everything about Apothecary surpassed my expectations. The decor inside is very dark and moody but unique which I loved. The Sun-dried Tomato Chicken was massive and perfect for sharing. The cocktails here are also fun and the softserve margarita extremely refreshing on a hot day - it's like a mezcal pineapple Dole Whip in a cup. The Spice Bag was literally as described, a fried plate of fries, fried chicken, fried onions all in what tasted somewhat like old bay type of seasoning. The Icelandic hot dog was honestly a bit strange and don't think was worth ordering again. Alana was our server and she was great at making recommendations and super attentive and awesome as well.
My partner and I had been to the original Apothecary before the merger with Rye, so we were excited to check out the new concept. Overall, we had an ok experience. I started with the "Ghana Be Kidding" cocktail. It featured prekese syrup -- which I had no idea what it was--a flavor that's popular in West Africa, and while it was an interesting and unique drink, it ended up being much sweeter than I expected and just wasn't for me. Thankfully, our waiter Victor was incredibly kind and accommodating. He happily helped me choose something else and made sure I ended up with a drink I enjoyed. I switched to the Horse Play, which was much more refreshing and exactly what I was lookin for. Great recommendation. We both got APO burger and it was good.
This place keeps coming up when I was looking into bars at Dallas, so I knew I had to check it out - and I am glad I did. We came on a Tuesday night and even then they were busy. We didn't have to wait for a table but the place was full by the time we sat down. Vibe is intimate and chic - dim lighting, velvet seating and vintage-inspired decor. It's perfect spot for a date night or catching up with friends over drinks. Their cocktails had fun and interesting flavor combinations that you won't find elsewhere. The bar bites were also surprisingly good but I didn't enjoy the Kraut cake too much - it was too sweet and lacks complexity. Reservations are highly recommended - definitely one of the spots in Dallas you wouldn't want to miss

I visited Apothecary on a Sunday evening -- the left side (the original, not the side that Rye used to occupy). A low-lit lounge and bar, a space that feels intimate and yet, the music playing from the speakers (not too loud, just there) gives it an expectant energy, too. It's the kind of place you enjoy being because it feels like an experience. I'm going to have a unique, well-made drink tonight in a cool spot. The cocktail menu seems like it's updated every season or so, the bartenders/creators' names featured on the cover. Very cool. Will definitely be back.
We have now been to both sides of apothecary and we love it. I love that you can make reservations online, which is really probably necessary bcause both sides are relatively small. Our first time we went to alchemy, the service and drinks were great. We even got a couple apps for happy hour. The pics are from that visiti. Our second time we went to archive, which has a more traditional feel. And quite a bit later, and probably a better conversation area. How drinks have some classic? But there's definitely some unique ones. We tried a hot dog water, which is not for everybody. And probably not for us but love that they are getting adventurous. We also had a recommendation from the server for a drink that tasted like pozole... I would have never picked that, but it was delicious. Highly recommend for drinks. read more

Apothecary is easily one of the best spots in Dallas! Especially during happy hour which they have every day! From beginning to end, our experience was top notch! Service was excellent, food and drinks were EXCELLENT, and the vibe/atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. A little dark and moody, and intimate. The space now has two distinct sides: Archive and Alchemy. Archive is a bit larger (occupying the old Rye space), while Alchemy is where the magic is at and that's the side we were at. lol The soft-serve margarita was sooo good - it literally tastes like Dole Whip! Highly recommend checking it out! And make sure you have reservations! read more

Overall: 4.7/5 [dine in] Service was amazing! Our waitress Emilia was super attentive throughout the whole night. The drinks have unique flavor combinations that actually deliver and the happy hour is phenomenal. We're talking 50% off select appetizers and entrees, $12 Over the Counter cocktails, $10 classics, and BOGO ponies and shots. They also have daily specials Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. The space has serious speakeasy vibes so give your eyes a few seconds to adjust when you walk in from the bright light outside. Icelandic Hot Dog ($3.50 HH): Tiny single bite TX wagyu dog that was cute but hard to share. Tasted pretty similar to a regular hot dog. Tostada ($4 HH): Kanpachi on a blue corn tortilla. I'd recommend getting 2 since it gets messy the moment you take a bite and I didn't really get a proper taste of it because of that. Caviar Chip ($6.50 HH): A generous dollop of caviar on a kettle cooked potato chip with creme fraiche underneath. A yummy combo but honestly something you could recreate at home. East Coast Oyster ($2.75 HH): My husband got a single oyster to try and thought it was pretty good. London Fog ($12 HH): Milk washed London dry gin, earl grey, aveze, dry curacao, and vanilla orange honey. I loved this cocktail. I don't usually like gin and find earl grey too strong on its own but this combination was perfection. It was also served in the cutest tea cup with a yummy cookie on the side. Morocco ($12 HH): Moroccan mint tea, terralta reposado, rye, fernet branca menta, and agave. Not my favorite compared to the London Fog but my husband absolutely loved it and said it was one of the best cocktails he has ever had. He even said it would have been his signature cocktail at our wedding. I was shocked but to each their own. Confit'd and Fried Chicken Wings ($7.50 HH): The most disappointing item of the night. Came with 6 wings tossed in a Korean wing sauce that tasted very close to buffalo. The wings themselves were average. Skip these. Beef Cheek Tacos ($12 HH): Came with 3 tacos that were some of the best we've had in a while. Delicious, flavorful, no notes. Highly recommend. Soft Serve Marg ($12 HH): Like a boozy dole whip that doubled as dessert. Not too heavy but not super strong either. A fun way to end the meal. Pekin Tom ($20): Duck fat washed wild turkey 101, lapsang peach liqueur, absinthe, and pecan smoke. Not part of the happy hour menu. They smoke it right in front of you which is a cool presentation but the taste was pretty average. APO Burger ($10 HH) + Truffle Fries Sub ($7): The truffle fries felt a bit steep but they ended up being worth it. Super crispy, delicious, and addictive. The burger was cut in half which made it easy to share and it came with a TX wagyu patty, bruleed fontina, Spanish tomato spread, garlic whip, and chive. Burst of flavors, melt in your mouth wagyu, absolutely chef's kiss. We will 100% be coming back. It's a perfect spot for an intimate date night. read more

Parking options are a little slim here but theres a lot across the street for about 12$. This is a really cute date night restaurant with lots of shops around. It has a speakeasy style with no signage on its door. We loved the 70pp menu, the charcuterie selections were thoughtful. The steak frites has a spicy sauce on it and hamachi was absolutely perfect. Of course the star of the show is the cocktail, which they have many unique variations of. Make a reservation ahead of time as spots fill up. read more
Love this speakeasy in lower Greenville! Highly recommend getting a reservation if you can! The drinks are always fun and delicious and they have a rotating theme. I'm unsure if it's yearly or quarterly though. I sat at the bar once and was able to get the bartender to make a special drink for us. Love the ambiance and the vibes that they have curated! Finally got a chance to stop by Apothecary after hearing about the cocktail program for so long and being a fan of Rye for many years. My husband and I and a good friend of ours came on a Saturday night at the end of April and had a blast trying several different drinks and delicious bites. My favorite cocktail of the night was the Butter Curry cocktail; I thought it tasted just like advertised but somehow still with this smooth sweetness that went down dangerously easy :) The smoked salmon tea sandwiches were a bit dry but we always love the beef cheek tacos and have to order it every time it's on the menu, and it did not disappoint. Surprise hit was the fish eggs and chips dish, which came with perfectly crispy fries and an incredibly delicious and generous portion of creme fraiche onion dip studded with salmon roe and caviar. We had so much dip that we ordered another heaping serving of fries to finish it off! And of course, since I've been dying to try the chocolate kraut cake, we ordered that even though we were already pretty stuffed. I'm not usually a chocolate enjoyer but the sauerkraut really balanced the richness of the chocolate out; I kept saying it was like the very best version of a black forest cake, with the cherries swapped out for sweet-tart bits of kraut. Delicious and highly recommended. I read a few days after our visit that Apothecary's doing some sort of cocktail passport through the summer for each of the decade-based menus, so I guess we'll have to stop by again some time soon! Can't wait to come back and try more of the inventive cocktails. read more

This was my first time coming to Apothercary, came around 7pm so there was no issue getting in without a reservation. It's super cute inside with a nice bar and different seating areas. They had great music on and a menu with tons of items. My cocktail Horse Play was super yummy, it had tequila, cucumber horseradish and agua fresca . Pretty normalish prices around $20 a drink. Look forward to checking out some of their other cocktails! read more
We couldn't find this place . There's literally no sign - a true speakeasy. The drinks are strong, but flavorful. Very neat little spot for small groups or a date. Servers were all very kind and helpful while choosing wines. Bathroom was very clean and, dare I say, fancy. Over all very impressed with this little bar! read more

Oo def one of my favorite speakeasies in Dallas. Ive been a couple times and the service is always so good! They take really good care of you and last time i went they asked for what i liked and made me and my partner a custom drink based on our preferences! The vibes are super cozy and intimate - can get a bit loud at times but love their unique concepts and drink combos. I believe their menu changes from time to time so cant wait to come back and try more! read more
To find it, you'll have to look for the unmarked door on Greenville Ave. If you walk too fast, you might miss it! The vibe here takes you from the bright busy hustle that is Greenville Ave. and transports you to a true speakeasy bar. The setting is small and intimate with dark, romantic lighting. The cocktails are never disappointing and the snacks are superb. Take your date. Take your girlfriends. Take yourself. Apothecary is well worth the visit. read more

Reservations needed to come to this cozy bar with specialized cocktails and small plates of food that pair nicely with them. Jules our server was prompt and helpful. All the cocktails were fun and delicious. The food was delicious too, I just wish the mussels were cooked 2-3 minutes more. While out for dinner, my partner and I decided to stop by Apothecary for a night cap as we love a good speakeasy vibe. Outside, there's an unassuming door with a few tables out front. We walk in and we're immediately greeted by a friendly host amongst a dark, warm interior. The space is small and was pretty packed once we arrived so there was no seating available inside. So we opted to sit outside until a table was free. While it was a bit chilly, each table has a small fire pit which was very cozy. We sat for a few moments before a space opened up and we were inside. The decor is amazing. And what was even more amazing were the drinks. Gimlets for me and a Peking Tom and Whiskey sour for my partner. Both were outstanding! Needless to say we'll definitely be back! read more

The vibes here were a 12/10!! Great spot for a date and bonus points because you can actually hear people talking. The service was spectacular and the espresso martini was one of the best I've had in a while! Prices were high but it was worth every vent. read more
