A booklet featuring an extensive collection of cocktails, small bites, mocktails, from classics to imported beers. Huge selection. I tried this refreshing cocktail called Grand Tour. A must try! A little sweet and less bitter. Ruel, the fabulous mixologist, does drinks right! My drink tasted like a NOT overly sweet cocktail, fruity and slightly bubbly. My kind of superb cocktail! The munchies they offer you are toasted Texas Pecans, and Corn Nuts! Delicious to the core! Thanks to our bartender, Ruel! I assume EVERYTHING on their cocktail Bible is a hit, just mine was. Pricey, yes. I had 2, and they were worth it! This effortlessly chic bar, located inside the Mansion on Turtle Creek Hotel, is a real hit with guests, tourists, and locals! Excellent service! Used to be 5+ star. This *was* a Dallas crown jewel of an upscale bar with fantastic service and music, but it's flipped upside down. The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void. read more

Up until recently, had been coming here 10-40 times a year for years and love it. Love the ambience, the staff, the food. This is our go to spot that we really cherish. The new renovations are gorgeous and really keep that old timey, cigar room feel while brightening up the beautiful dining space. That said, one huge negative now exists that really limits how often I come, and that's that the formerly complimentary (and previously fantastic) valet is not only not complimentary but $10 + convenience charge + tip. I can even understand charging for parking for an overnight stay but I cannot understand a Rosewood five star resort gouging its restaurant and bar guests for $10. To add insult to injury, the automatic suggested tip is $20! It's tacky, it's not the vibe, and it really makes this place seem fake nice. Bring back the old valet personnel and system - if it ain't broke, don't fix it! read more

I've been to a lot of cocktail bars in Dallas, and I will say this one was the most expensive. However, of all the bars I've been to this is the only one I am 100% certain they will make my drink right. I'm working a list of Top 50 cocktails and they had no problem with the obscure ones. When I went on a Friday night they had a live jazz band. Even though they were playing dixeland jazz which is very hokey, it was cool to see and made a happy vibe. If you don't mind walking 3 blocks you can avoid their valet as the spot is secluded from other businesses. read more

I was so excited to check this place out but the door man/host near the bar was very rude. We didn't have a reservation wanted to grab a cocktail at the bar and he told us that they were at capacity. He told the next couple that they could go in and and have a seat at the bar. I approached him again and asked if there was room at the bar because I over heard and he was very rude and said you could go stand there if you want. Being at capacity is very different. I expected decent customer service and at the very least to be treated respectfully. One bad apple will ruin your bunch. Whoever the guy was on August 24 around 8pm needs to go through basic customer service training. read more

This place would have been five stars because of the following: 1. Beautiful bar: dimly lit, lots of seating, great fireplace, two sections which bring a more cozy feel. 2. Great cocktails: My husband got the Old Fashioned and I got the Manhattan--both were wonderful. 3. Waiters: Very friendly and attentive. 4. Live Music: Very nice and not too loud. The reason for my two-star rating is that we were not told that a $25 per person charge was going to be added to our bill because we were still there when the live music started (we arrived around 8pm and the live music started at 9pm). When I complained about it to the guy outside the door, telling him that this was unacceptable that we were not informed of this, he gave a flippant reply. When we left there was a sign outside, but only because it was after 9pm. The sign was not there earlier. If you get there before 9pm, you will have no knowledge of this, and they will tack it on to your bill. Not only is this unacceptable, but outrageous. The band was good, but certainly not worth $25 pp. read more

They change bartenders frequently, new bartenders don't know a thing about Mixology, should stick up with same bartenders. Only valet to park car, which is ridiculous. First off, I have loved this place in the past. Upon my last visit, not so much. Both of the bartenders, I believe their names were Micky Mouse? and George. They both seemed like they had been drinking, and were very off putting. They both even seemed to disappear for extended periods of time which was very confusing. I was entertaining a client and was quite embarrassed. When one of them finally came to help us, it was an extremely awkward interaction from The Micky guy, with him making inappropriate comments. Recently, my husband and I made reservations at the Mansion Bar to see a particular band. We had lovely bar bites and drinks and the people watching was great. But the experience was not. The band we went to see wasn't the one playing even though they were still listed on the website, we had not been called to be told differently and we were not told upon arrival. A staff member said that it was worse the night before as the band didn't even show up. I wrote an email to the hotel expressing my displeasure and now 5 days later, I have heard nothing from them. I recently came to The Mansion Bar and I am a big fan. It is tucked away inside a hotel in the Turtle Creek area. I love the dark ambiance with the scant lighting. The wait staff are very friendly and can whip up a mean cocktail. Drinks are a little pricey, but worth it. I had a drink with gin, cranberry, and egg white... it was delicious and refreshing. My friend tried the aviation and it was even better, it is a sweeter concoction which is right up my alley. They also served complimentary pecans and olives. Everything was great. Food, service and ambiance. I had two drinks with friends. My friends had three drinks per person, and the total bill was close to $600 with food. I've been in Dallas a few months now, and I have heard over and over again to visit the mansion. I loved it for so many reasons! From valet parking to the bartenders you were greeted with a huge smile, and hello that made you feel at home. The live music was the excellent combination of sexy and shake my grove thing. I used to come to this bar all the time before the pandemic, one of my favorite things about this bar was the live music on the weekends. The bartender before was very nice and a gentleman. I came tonight to check it out, since it's been a while. All new bartenders and no live music. I don't mind the no live music part, but my experience was very rude. I sat at the bar and didn't get on a "hello, how are ya" or anything.. I was sitting for a good 6 mins.. no one said a thing or even looked my way. Then, another customer walks up and gets customer service right away. Let's keep in mind we look different. But he go to served before me. I will not be leaving a tip. read more

It was our first date many months ago. We quickly fell in love. He ordered me the Far Niente without even asking, (because he poached me while I was on a date in his place so attentiveness to detail was cute) and a bourbon neat. We discussed the future plans for other restaurants. His Black Hair and Hazel Eyes were caught off guard by the charming heart felt conversation of being interested not just interesting. You can build all the fantasies you want when you are in a dark wood cave with low lights and rocking high heels. However they are all concrete truths now. :-) The painted picture is yours for the taking bc everyone here is walking on a dream also. Get yours. Stepping into places like the Mansion you can just be yourself. I have met so many wonderful people, gone in with other people that are phenomenal, and run into people I love. The connections you build here will last you a life time. All great company, reflections of work hard play hard. The experiences I have had here are just mind blowing how walking this life is a treasure chest full of fun. It is such a hide a way. The live music on Thursdays is a plus. The menu consist of the best brisket tacos on the planet and crack covered truffle fries, and you can still get the mini burgers but they are not on the menu. However I hate white foods, and he says it is aoili and I say it is mayo. PS they make their own tonic here and chicona (however you freaking spell it) for the Best Gin and Tonic on the Planet. Zero carbonation. If the weather is nice sit on the patio, walk through the dining area to get there. If it is not, sit by the fire place and get your legs rubbed and talk about Alaska. I love going to the Mansion Bar which is located in The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. My favorite place to grab a pre dinner drink at the bar. The hotel and grounds are gorgeous. If your up to dinner or brunch they do have an awesome patio space under the trees perfect for dining alfresco. The Mansion at Turtle Creek was the first of the Rosewood hotels, founded in 1979 by Caroline Rose Hunt ( she died in 2018) Caroline was the daughter of the Texas oil tycoon H.L. Hunt. Caroline transformed the Mansion into to a hotel now known as Rosewood Mansion. I have been here 2 times the first with my wife and they were playing live music for example Bruno Mars and Michel Jackson music . The second time I went it was kind of depressing the band that was playing it was like the guy wanted to end his life he was complaining about his life and saying things in the microphone that didn't make any sense so we left but over all it's a awesome place to go .
