Coupes is a really lovely relaxing location. My date and I slipped in during happy hour on a Wednesday afternoon. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and offered up great food/wine pairing options. We had their Shrimp Cocktail, Chicken w/ Caviar, and Croquettes. She had an Italian Rose, and I had an Italian red wine. Each drink was very nice and we each had a second round. The afternoon was perfect, food and drinks were tasty, and all was beautifully presented! The only negative was the price, which came in a little over $200. Came here for a birthday celebration and it was such a great way to start the night. The space is really beautiful and has a calm, relaxing vibe perfect if you want something a little more low-key but still nice. We ordered the deviled eggs and truffle fries for the table, and both were super delicious definitely good options for sharing. I tried a rosé three way flight, which I really enjoyed, and there were also espresso martinis and champagne going around the table, so everyone found something they liked. The service stood out too very welcoming and attentive. Everything here is immaculate! Maybe a Yelp or Unofficial Yelp event should take place here. But let's do a story time with Raj, since I know none of you asked for it. Tucked away in a little shopping strip is this fancy chic champagne bar but they have more than champagne. They're one of very few bars around the country that have been internationally recognized by an association from France for their aesthetically pleasing, deliciously tasting, and outstanding program of champagne. Walking in, it's almost what an elevation prohibition style place would feel like. From the booths in the corner, the tables arraigned in particular places, and the background blending in with high feminine bliss. You're greeted into the circular bar in the middle where the masterminds are hard at work from pouring bubbles, wines, and making full on cocktails for everyone. Clinking of glasses, subtle laughter or chatter, and the presence of sparkling personalities/wine clutter the room with the libations being sipped on. But what comes next you ask? The food. The glorious food. Deviled eggs are small, mighty, and easy to screw up on. But the ones here? Scrumptious. But what can out do that? The bump of caviar. The drool I have seeping out of my mouth and the way it has me in a chokehold makes me want to marry the chef. Grilled cheese? Elevated and wonderful. Triple cheese and pepper jelly assimilate a culinary sweet and savory bomb in your mouth with some fries to absorb that glass of bubble you have in your hand. I had just treated myself to a long-awaited third ear piercing in this shopping center and wanted to celebrate. When I saw there was a champagne bar with a happy hour right there, SAY LESS! At around $10 a glass, it felt like a little affordable luxury. They even brought out warm gougères with chive butter, which was such a nice touch. I joked to my friend that this shopping plaza is basically built for birthdays, Mother's Day outings, and bridal showers: there's a Drybar, a piercing studio, a nail salon, and a spa all in one place. Someone needs to bundle that into a girls-day-out package! Turns out, the lovely woman sitting next to us (who I assumed was just some genius who figured they could work remotely from a champagne bar!) was actually the owner. We were around the corner and decided to stop in for a quick drink to try the place out. As much as I'd love to keep this place a hidden gem, I urge everyone to go and experience this wonderful establishment. I've been here multiple times and each time I am blown away at how beautiful and unique the decor is. Hidden in the shops of Highland Park plaza is one of the most exquisite champagne bars in Dallas. The food pairs very well with the atmosphere and every bartender has master-level knowledge of all the champagne and wine offered. They also make a mean espresso martini . Coupes was fairly empty on a Saturday evening (on a holiday weekend) and yet the host sat us at the most awkward and small table RIGHT in front of one of the TWO other parties at the restaurant. We were looking to have a few drinks, however, after our first drink we were ready to leave. Although the presentation of the drinks were nice, the taste was lacking. We came for their happy hour and were impressed by the prices. We ended up getting an old fashioned, french 75, and the croquettes. The portion of the croquettes was large considering their 5 dollar cost; however, I felt like the flavor was just ok. The french 75 did not taste balanced and the old fashioned was pretty watery. Overall, Coupes is a beautiful spot for a snack and drink. We dined here at 4pm on a Friday afternoon by reservation. The reservation was definitely not needed, as we were the first patrons to arrive (they open at 4), and while it had picked up by the time we departed (~6pm), there were still the majority of the tables and some bar seating still available. While the quality of the restaurant and food/drinks were great, the docking of a star is the service was just slightly below expected. Service was only slightly slow, especially for the level of crowd, and our servers didn't seem to have knowledge on much other than champagne. Truly one of the CUTEST spots I've found in Dallas so far. One of my friends said she felt like she was in Europe. Such an adorable spot for a girls night, date night, nightcap, or brunch! Cannot rave about the decor enough. In terms of food, the avocado toast was delicious! The fried okra was great as well, but we had to ask for extra sauce (which they quickly brought). The truffle fries, unfortunately, were not truffle fries at all. Instead, they were covered in bacon dust, and they had such a strong bacon flavor. I could only eat one and a half before the flavor was too much. We double checked the menu, and no where did it mention bacon on the truffle fries. Could not taste the truffle at all. Would not recommend ordering. In terms of service, our waiter was so sweet and friendly! They had a half off all champagne bottles when we went on Sunday, which was a lovely surprise! Great selection. The food was quite slow, considering that the restaurant was relatively empty (only a few other tables), and our dishes were relatively simple. There was also some confusion with the menus - they had recently rolled out new menus (which were adorable), and it was quite confusing which menu we could actually order food from on Sundays. Popped in after dinner to give this spot a try. My wife was very excited for a champagne bar. Style was very chic but acoustics are off. Heavy echo and loud despite not very many guests. The bar was the focal point but there was no high bar so you can see everything behind the bar which was very non aesthetically pleasing. The layout is way too spread out. Large open areas with no purpose makes it feel poorly designed. We tried an appetizer and a couple martini cocktails. Both were good not great. Service was good. Unless they revamp the place already, I don't picture us returning. read more

We had the best Sunday brunch here today! Y'all need to go! A champagne bar with caviar service in the heart of Highland Park and it was absolutely delightful. Brian was amazing and attentive and didn't laugh when we asked him how to eat the caviar! I love that you can order caviar bites- single blinis so you can try one of each variety. Affordable and a real treat. Two of us had champagne flights, and the third had a Bellini flight. The deviled eggs with caviar were so delicious and the French toast was thick and tasted as good as it looked. We also recommend the French omelette, and crème brûlée for dessert. The crème brûlée was perfect and probably the best I've been able to find in the metroplex. We stayed a while to visit and were not rushed out. The space is beautiful and comfortable with cozy booths. I really wish they would open a Coupes in Fort Worth but it is worth the drive to Dallas. We will be back! read more

First of all, for a bar that specializes in champagne, the server had no knowledge of the champagne menu at all and had to ask the bar tender for help when I asked questions about popular bottles, different varietals, etc. The server was nice, but a sommelier was needed to answer specific questions. Second, the prices are extraordinarily high ranging from $150 on up. On their website they published Deutz which I assumed they offer. Being one of my favorites, I inquired to which the server had no idea what I was asking for. The menu didn't list the champagne, not was it offered which was disappointing. All that said, a highly specialized brand should be met with highly specialized service. If they can figure out the experiential part of the offering, the price points would be much more palatable. read more

Fast forward to last night, I was highly disappointed My mom and sister visited from Houston so I tell them "guys I know the cutest tapas bar" when we walk in the hostess greets us with a smile and checks in our reservation, then a server with a skunk stripe walks up and says "I don't think it's me I was just sat" We're sat and the server with the skunk stripe comes over and gives us a lackluster greeting and it was basically just like "what would you ladies like" nothing like my first experience here there was no energy and she seemed to just not want to be at work, as a former restaurant manager this could be for a number of reasons maybe because it seemed dead she wanted to be cut, maybe she was getting over sat, maybe she was having a bad day but it's not fair to the guest. She was also a bit awkward and that could be her personality but it wasn't inviting what so ever. There was "no hi ladies is this y'all's first time in? Are we celebrating tonight? I'll give you ladies some time to look over the menu but I definitely recommend the blah blah blah" lol none of that happened it was just like ..are y'all ready to order ? So instead of having an awkward experience I just simply asked for a new server and was blessed with Cora once again I know picking up a table that "complained" can be a bit intimidating but she handled it so well,she was just like the first time I'd dined at coupes, you guys should definitely consider her for a lead or training position. Also the manager didn't stop by which I appreciated because it actually wasn't a big deal I think we solved the issue for ourselves requesting a new server but he did make his presence known once we were leaving with a salutation at the door. The bar is very upscale and fancy it is a great spot to go pre dinner to have a small bite or a drink before you go to your next destination. The space has anywhere from bar seating, table, and lounge/couch seating. Plenty to choose from from depending on what you are looking for. They have a wide range of champagnes and also offer speciality cocktails and little bites as well. I got an order of the deviled eggs with caviar, champagne, and a scotch cocktail. I really enjoyed the scotch drink it reminded me of a smoother old fashioned and it had plenty of liquor in it. The service we got was absolutely fantastic.
