Stopped by Moxies in Uptown Dallas and it absolutely delivered. The steak bites were incredible perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. You can tell they really focus on quality ingredients. I also tried the Spicy Tuna Dynamite Roll, which was fresh, balanced, and had just the right amount of heat. It's not always easy to find a place that nails both steak and sushi, but they did it here. Great atmosphere, great service, and fantastic food. Easily made a reservation for early evening on a Saturday. Took my nephew out for his 25th birthday- wow - where did the time go?need to make a concerted effort to spend more time with family, and what better way than with great food and drinks in a gorgeous atmosphere. My nephew dropped me at the door while he went to park. I was seated immediately. Happy hour food a drink specials until 6 PM, so our 5:30 reservation got us pork potstickers, really good guacamole and seasoned chips, as well as espresso martinis at discounted prices. I ordered the chicken mango - so I was floored that the dish came out looking exactly like the photo- this usually does not happen, and I was impressed. It was stacked so until I got under the first piece of chicken, that I saw there were actually two! And they were I top of a nice serving of cubed sweet potatoes and broccolini , all on top of a bed of couscous. It was all delicious. My nephew ordered the shrimp tacos and he was happily surprised that the fish came with three well filled tacos. Service was great. I really loved this restaurant. They ask you if you want to be low noise which is very thoughtful. Servers are phenomenal. I had a Manager let me know that they were aware of my allergies. The rest of it had an earthy taste I personally loved and squeezing the lemon over it definitely elevated the flavor. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, not overly chewy and had a nice crunch to it. Chicken Madeira Rigatoni comes with pan roasted chicken with creamy mushroom & madeira wine sauce, rosemary, lemon & garlic ciabatta baguette. It was a good meal too but I would only recommend ordering it if you really like mushrooms. It was creamy and the pasta tasted incredible. Moxies felt more upscale and less rowdy. Originally, I wanted to try their Blackened Mahi Mahi. Unfortunately, they ran out of mashed potatoes. The Internet photos for this dish looked attractive. So, I had to settle for the 1/2 rack of ribs $29 instead. Still good. The fries were amazing. They were so crispy! My perspective on french fries is now ruined because of this. As for the ribs themselves, they were fine. True to the description from the menu, they were 'fall off the bone tender', although I did use a knife to cut them. My waitress Ava was excellent.
