Couldn't believe the Vegan Options included Pancakes This is my second review for Snooze AM The vegan options include tofu and plant based chorizo: -Burrito -Tacos -Two of their bowls (forgot the names but it includes sweet potato) -Vegan Banana Bliss Pancakes I love everything but the Tofu is not well seasoned, thank goodness I love Tofu in general. I love all their locations all over the states but my fave is the one in Oaklawn Ave. & Plano They even shared one of my social media posts because I took all my non vegan friends for the first time and they all love it. My mom and I were in town to visit family and found Snooze by accident. Right off the bat we loved the vibe of the place and the decor. The staff that greeted us were all smiles and immediately welcoming! We were sat at a table quick and took some time to look at the menu, afterall everything sounded great! Let me start by saying I grew up on a mix of down home southern/cajun food and I have to admit I am so picky about my breakfasts! I tend to rate breakfasts spots based on a few things, Hot chocolate ( I am a kid at heart what can I say), eggs (how well theyre cooked) and the big one....Biscuits and Gravy!!! Now lucky for me, on this rainy Dallas morning, I was able to try all 3! Without disrespecting the Queen of my family, my Grandma, I have to say the Biscuits and Gravy I had at Snooze that morning, were right up there with hers. I was immediately transported to my Grandmothers Sunday table, with a big plate of Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs and a hot cocoa. The Biscuits were light and fluffy and the gravy has a little kick to it and delicious sausage. The eggs were cooked to perfection, not overly cooked and well seasoned. My Hot chocolate came with a perfect topping of whipped cream and a swirl of chocolate sauce. It was the perfect start to my week! My mom has the pick 2 benedict where she had their ham benny and the bella bella benny and she finished her plate without a crumb left! The eggs were perfectly poached and the flavors were out of this world! I realize of course this is a lenghthy review but when you're good you're good, and they were GREAT! We felt like we were amongst family and friends and the food left us with both full stomachs and hearts! I believe our waiter was Omar, but I could very well have that wrong, what I can say without a doubt was he was kind, funny and knowledgeable about the food and estrablishment. The food was great, but the service was just so-so. This place is usually very busy, so we were surprised when we were seated immediately. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our food, which was brought out by a very pleasant server. However, service became inconsistent after that. The host stopped by to ask if we needed anything, and when I requested a bottle of ketchup, she said she would bring it but got distracted by a new patron and forgot. No worries, I asked our waiter instead and was told, "Sure." A few minutes later, the waiter returned and said, "What did you ask me to bring again?" Eventually, we did get the ketchup. Toward the end of the meal, we asked for a glass of water. Again, the waiter said "Sure," but the water never arrived. I shared mine, and since we stayed about ten more minutes, we didn't make a big deal out of it. Still, the whole point of being a host or waiter is to remember what the customer asks for. This was likely one of the best brunch experiences I have ever had. The restaurant was full, but we had no wait. The restaurant was actually a lot larger than I was expecting. Our waiter was Oliver and he was great, he wasn't pushy when we weren't ready and he came at all the right times. It was very loud inside, you can still hear your party, but be prepared to repeat a thing or 2. My dad and I both preferred the Bella Bella Benny but both were good, just note the habanero pork belly benny is pretty sweet and I didn't get much heat from it. My dad enjoyed his Snooze Classic. Love this place. Great after church brunch spot. The food is amazing!! It can be busy on Sunday so reserve your spot before you go.

Overall it was a fair experience with some hiccups. The service was good, the hostess was friendly and my server was attentive. I didn't enjoy how my food was initially served to me. The bacon was burnt hard as a rock and not edible. My pancake was also cold and wouldn't even melt the butter served on it. The manager did apologize for the bacon and explained what they had ready was all burnt and it would take 18 minutes to make fresh. She offered me other choices so I chose the sausage patty. Updating to five out of five! I came with a couple friends this weekend and Day was our server. Day had an amazing and warm attitude that really made our meal. The wait was crazyyyy on a Saturday morning so highly recommend adding yourself to the Yelp waitlist early!! I ordered the breakfast burrito with brisket and one of their new protein blt bowls. The burrito was delicious and ginormous! The bowl was also good, I loved the bacon but I think it could use some potato or something to make it feel less like I was eating a breakfast salad. It does feel super healthy light and fresh though if you're looking for a cleaner breakfast option. Once we were finally sat service was very quick. And the inside is beautiful. We should've left but the fact that it was Black Friday, figured it'd be a task to get in anywhere. We finally sat down and waited 39 mins for food (fine but the food was cold. That indicates it was probably sitting). Never got our lattes and other drinks which just had us feeling like an afterthought. The food was okay but the service and drinks were amazing which is how they got 4 stars but for the taste of the omelets and hash browns, they did not deliver, however the pancake did compensate and make up for that. It was a typical snooze layout and clean overall. They had multiple tvs to keep guests entertained and the parking was limited but found with ease and free. I have now found my perfect breakfast item here at this news café. It is going to be their breakfast burrito and oh my God if you're vegetarian this is for you, and if you are not a vegetarian, I love that you can have your choice and adding sides of meat. The burrito comes out super massive and it has an amazing salsa on top of it with some fresh tomatoes and or pico de gallo. I ordered this not thinking that it would come out so beautifully Big, but it did and let me tell you everyone's eyes at the table. All went to this burrito. It was topped with an amazing amazing drizzle of shredded cheese and when cut into half you can see all of the black beans, potatoes, and all the things inside this time I decided to order bacon bits that come with it and let me tell you the burrito did not even need to have the bacon bits. This will be my new go to meal when I get there. The one thing that I will say is that they need to come up with a menu item that is for one pancake, one egg and one side of meat. There were several of us that had that same idea but for some reason, that's just not ideal at the moment, I do hope that they can one day change it and even maybe name it after me the melody special! I left Snooze feeling frustrated. My server submitted my order correctly, but it still came out wrong. I mentioned it politely, and the manager resubmitted it - yet the second time, it still came out incorrect. To make things worse, they charged me for extra chicken that was never even included in my meal. When I brought it up at the end, the waiter blamed the manager for not entering it properly the second time. There's clearly a serious lack of communication between the manager, waiter, and kitchen because the same mistakes just kept happening. What made it even more disappointing is that I brought a friend with me - it was her first time at Snooze - and she wasn't impressed with the service at all. On top of that, my single pancake was soggy and unpleasant to eat (did not look appealing). Something definitely needs to improve - both in the kitchen and in how the staff communicates with each other. read more
