Finally made it into odd fellows for brunch. It's so hard to get in, even on a rainy day the wait was 45 minutes for 2. Service was okay, it took a while for our server to come greet us but then once they did things were smooth. I had the fried green tomatoes and the buffalo Mac and cheese. Beautiful decor and indoor/outdoor seating, but the food was underwhelming. Everything on my plate was severely under seasoned. I got the chicken fried steak, potatoes and mac and cheese. Unfortunately a disappointment in my hunt for a Dallas brunch spot. We opted for a table outside as it wasn't too chilly outside and inside was pretty noisy (though we ended up outside with a rowdy group that were probably just as loud as the entire inside but that's no fault of the restaurant other than maybe over serving). We were quickly sat but that was about all that happened quickly. We watched tables around us get sat and every one get greeted and served before we had still as much as been spoken to. Feeling myself about to lose my sh%t, I went back to the host stand let them know we had still not been helped (honestly we probably should've just chopped it up as a loss and started over elsewhere). We finally got some recognition but it was mediocre at best. Since we had been waiting so long, we put in every thing we already knew we wanted to get this show on the road. We ordered deviled eggs, brisket hash and the duck bacon sandwich (which I had already picked before we left the hotel and probably the reason I chose this place over other options because I don't eat pork and have never seen duck bacon as an option). To my dismay, the server comes back and lets me know they are out of duck bacon (I'm going to tell myself us not getting service didn't keep me from the last of said duck bacon but we'll never really know). I asked him to give me a sec to rethink my plan but it took him quite some time to come back ask but ultimately I ended up with chilaquiles instead. Deviled eggs were good, hubby liked his hash, chilaquiles were mediocre and unfortunately didn't come out until my husband was probably half way through his hash. You could maybe get me back in to try the duck bacon sandwich and hope for a better experience, but I wouldn't hold my breathe in receiving better service seeing other experiences, so I would probably opt to give another place a shot. read more

As someone from Louisiana, I'm pretty picky about authentic Cajun flavors, and while the dishes weren't quite the traditional taste I'm used to back home, they were still well-prepared and enjoyable. You know I am a regular bruncher at Oddfellows and I try to get something new everytime. Being a coffee lover, Oddfellows is one of the only places that has pumpkin spice year round. I recently got an iced pumpkin spiced latte. The latte was amazing. The devilled eggs are always great to start with, good balance between sweet and savory. This last time I was there, I got the Trades Smoked Salmon Bagel, the flavor in the alfafa just brought all the flavors together on the bagel perfectly. My husband and I decided to try Oddfellow's in Bishop Arts for date night, and it did not disappoint! We arrived around 5:30, just in time to catch the end of Happy Hour (3-6 PM). We started with the lamb meatballs, and they were absolutely delicious--just the right portion size, and the sauce they came with was phenomenal. For my entrée, I went with the Steak Frites, and it was perfection! The steak was cooked exactly how I like it, the fries were crispy and fresh, and the sauce on the steak was bursting with flavor (though I'm not sure what it was). My husband ordered the Seared Salmon, and it was equally impressive. The skin was perfectly crispy, and the Romanesco was roasted to perfection with a wonderful flavor. I also enjoyed two glasses of their Pinot Noir during Happy Hour--it was a generous pour for only $7, just like the lamb meatballs. The combination of great food, excellent drinks, and reasonable prices makes this a place we'll definitely return to. Highly recommend for a cozy and flavorful date night! read more

I usually hate restaurant water because it usually has a weird taste, but the ice water that is served here is nice, crisp, and refreshing. I've come here for brunch with friends and family. My dad and sister really like their charcuterie board (with honeycombs!!) and I love their buffalo mac n cheese. They expected me to lean over and talk loud over another person or yell loud enough so the bartender inside can hear me. Their food is expensive: $2/egg à la carte, $6/pancake, $6 for one biscuit and gravy. Two scrambled eggs looked like the portion size of one. The food was tasty, however. Oddfellows seems to get a lot of flack on Yelp but I loved it! The location is obviously amazing, but beyond that our server was super friendly, prompt, and the food was top notch. I wouldn't order the buffalo mac again because I'm not a fan of buffalo sauce, ("Why, then, did you order the buffalo mac?" you may ask. Because I'm an idiot and thought it'd be mac & cheese with real buffalo as the protein), but if you're into buffalo sauce this meal would be awesome. And they've got a heavy hand on the servings too, all three of us left full. Only issue we experienced were the flies since we sat outside. Other reviewers have knocked Oddfellows on this point but... come'on guys. Are the servers supposed to run around the deck with a fly swatter? You're dining outside in a Texas summer, channel your inner lord of the flies and get over it. We'll definitely be back in the future to try their dinner menu! Came here with some Odd fellows before going on a bookstore crawl in bishop arts (sorry-not-sorry). Honestly the vegetarian options were much better than I was expecting. I would give this place 7.5s/10. We went around Christmas and the ambiance inside was definitely that rustic winter vibe. Even though they were packed we got our food pretty fast and had a good time. ------------ The red velvet pancakes were the best part. They were melt in your mouth and the cream cheese sauce was the perfect complement. I'd give them an 8/10. We also had the mushroom toast (6.5/10) and the smoked salmon benedict (7/10). I felt the fig jam on the mushroom toast was a bit too overpowering, I couldn't even taste the mushrooms. As a plus the coffee was a really good 9/10.
