It's so beautiful inside and all the food options are standard and definitely order worthy. However, I am 1000% knocking off stars for 3 reasons : 1. Overpriced food 2. Patronizing server 3. Missed order item It was a tad loud, but when my server asked me a question I had to ask for her to repeat herself because I couldn't hear. Our driver for the day brought us here when I asked for a place to have coffee before my flight out of Love Field. I just wanted the quick bite option. It's good that they have the counter in back. This place was so cute inside. The chandeliers and decor are very trendy and fun. It's also located in a shopping area right next to a lot of nice shops. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. When our drinks were low, she was on top of it, filling them up before we had to ask. Food was good. I got the breakfast sandwich but I subbed the regular bread for an everything bagel. Enjoyed a pre-fixed menu for Galentine's. The environment was a low light, date night scene. The waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and polite. The food received mixed reviews. The onion rings was really delicious. However the onions was sliced so thin it was mostly batter, 3 stars. The salmon wasn't on the menu, yet they was nice to accommodate the substitute, 5 stars. The steak was good. However the orders wasn't prepared as requested and given to the wrong individuals when placed on table. This is a cute spot for a girls brunch. It's a little more elevated than your average brunch spot including the way the food is presented. Some days they are very busy and there can be a wait so I highly recommend making a reservation. Sadelle's has a really nice setup. There's a small café area and then the main dining room, which feels elegant without being stuffy. The vibe is on point, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I went with the Eggs Benedict with Ham, the blueberry pancakes, and a matcha latte. The Benedict was solid--the brioche was light and airy with a good crunch, and the egg was poached just right, runny yolk and all. The hollandaise had the right texture, but honestly, the whole plate wasn't as hot as I would've liked, which made it a little underwhelming. The pancakes, though, were on another level. Three big, fluffy pancakes loaded with fresh blueberries. The texture was spot on--soft but not soggy, with just the right amount of bite. I usually prefer plain pancakes, but these completely changed my mind. Easily the best dish of the meal, and I'd recommend them without hesitation. The one thing I wouldn't order again is the matcha latte. I was killing some time before my flight, and since I'm a huge fan of Sadelle's in Las Vegas (I know the original is from NY, but haven't been to that location yet!), I thought this would be a fun experience. My first impression was that the layout seemed kind of strange as the upstairs seating seemed a little kitschy and not as fitting of the rest of the design. However, I still enjoyed most of the decor and main restaurant! The cafe area itself was also cute on its own. The hostess greeted me with haste and coldness, but once I sat down, the waiter was very kind and explained everything I needed to know. I ordered the house Salmon with rye bread. The salmon was doused in the most flavorful way and the rye bread was toasted to perfection!! It seems like a very small portion, but it actually was perfect for me as I didn't want to be too full for my flight. Went with my cousin in New York and fell in love with the French toast so I had to revisit in Dallas. Went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and had a wonderful time. Very open concept and even has patio for those wonderful spring days. Our server was super nice and helpful with all the questions that we had about the menu. We started with the mimosas and you can tell that the orange juice was fresh squeezed, it added a very nice touch. To eat we got the French toast, breakfast tacos and the healthy egg sandwich. French toast is my favorite breakfast food and I don't know if I've had a better one than Saddle's. It's crispy on the outside but so soft and flaky on the inside. For an item as basic as breakfast tacos, they were super flavorful. My friend really enjoyed the egg sandwich, she summed it up as an omelette on toast. We also ordered a drink that was described and strawberry and Champagne, but it tasted like nothing more than Champagne and while I'm never complaining about that, I was expecting more. As probably the worst of the Sadelles across the country it's still probably one of the best brunch options in Dallas. If you want to try how it should be, go to the one in Vegas. The French toast is cooked perfectly where it is still custardy inside. At this location they overcook it always. Same thing with the omelettes here....they shouldn't have any brown on them which they do here. They also randomly substituted French fried onions instead of the caramelized onions in the omelette. Dropped in at Sadelle's for a quick bite to eat and a much needed pick me up. Since we were in a time bind and not looking for a full service meal, we ordered at the café and found self-service open seating. Had a lox bagel with toppings (capers, tomato, onion, and cucumber) which was delicious and also VERY pricey. The a la carte lox bagel rounded out at about ~$28 which is a bit insane. My choice in pick me up was an iced matcha latte with almond milk which was subtly flavored with their house made vanilla and was overall, delicious and gave me the caffeine kick I needed. The interior is open, airy, lively on a summer day, and has a cute southern charm to it with it's colors and wall paper. The high ceilings are noteworthy. We went to Sadelle's for brunch and had a delicious meal. I had the Salami & Eggs Omelette with beef salami, caramelized onions and spicy brown mustard, Crispy Latkes, and an Espresso Martini. All were excellent. My companion had the Tuna Melt, Fries, and a Margarita, opting for lunch. Nancy, our server was most attentive and made great suggestions for us first timers. The venue is very cool for lunch with ultra high ceilings and lots of wood. The 2nd level looks to be a great place for a more private lunch for date night. The host staff working here are let's say not the smartest. First there were reservations on their website for our party size available in the next 15 min and they told us we need to wait 45. Ok fine. When 45 min pass they finally set up our table and we ask for 2 high chairs. When the table is ready they just wave us over. Usually they walk you to your table. Then we notice there are only adult menus. If there are 2 high chairs at the table with 2 kids, wouldn't you think to bring kids menus? So I had to ask for that too and they sounded surprised we needed them. Maybe some critical thinking and friendliness would go a long way. I was excited to try Number 1 Steak at Sadelle's since it's a fun new twist for a place that's never really had much of a nightlife vibe. The bread came out first tasty, but a little cold. Here's where things went sideways: we were offered an upgrade from the $59 prix fixe steak to the porterhouse. We didn't ask the price (our mistake), but based on the top steakhouses in the area charging around $135-$140 for a porterhouse, we figured it would be maybe $30 more per person. When the bill came, the upgrade alone was an extra $125. For a steak that honestly wasn't even that good, it felt like a bait-and-switch. We paid the bill, but let the waiter know they should absolutely disclose upgrade pricing upfront. A little transparency would be nice. Had a very strange experience with the hostess staff here. My friend and I came in on a Friday morning. The restaurant wasn't really busy and there were a bunch of empty tables. However, the hostess informed us there would be a 45 minute wait! We were the only ones waiting. The hostesses just watched us stand there for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I asked how much longer and they said "well you started at 45 minutes and it's been 15 minutes so you have 30 minutes to go". We inquired about the tables that were empty and they said oh, they have reservations. So then, I had the idea to go onto OpenTable and make a reservation. Lo and behold, there were tons of reservations available right away. Then, I inquired with the hostess, "since there are reservations available online can you just seat us?" And they said "no you have to make the reservation on an open table and then we can seat you". So, I had to go onto OpenTable and enter my credit card number in, which took a while, but I did it, and then when I showed them the confirmation, they ended up seating us right away. In fact, they sat us in one of the tables they initially said were reserved. Anyway, our wait service and food was good. But, we were a bit miffed with the way that they handled the seating. read more
