Been wanting to come here for years. We had the one in California and man it was bomb. This one right here was just as good if not even better. There was no line when we went there. Staff was friendly and kind even refreshed us about the menu and any other questions we had. Food was just great. It was nice and spacious. They're very clean. Bathrooms were clean. Will definitely be coming back to this place. The food was so good The french fries and onion rings were so nice and crispy. The boiled egg with the spices of the sauce and butter and so perfect. DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION! I have been to Boiling Crab many times, but not this location. The service was hardly O.K. Asked for waters twice and never received them. The shrimp had SO MUCH poop inside i've never experienced that from any seafood place i've been to. seems like they didnt even RINSE them. As i was eating the crab had a funny texture so i smelled it and it was OFF. Completely turned me off to eating anything else. Corn and rice were overcooked and mushy. They only had frozen crawfish- not fresh so keep that in mind. No full bar so you can get a diluted margarita at best. The manager apologized but there's only so much they can do when the food quality is poor. Do not come here GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! read more

The food was terrible my garlic butter corn had no butter just red the corn was sweet but no flavor ; the fried shrimp baskets were fresh again no flavor not fried well & the fries were hard tasted like air my husband had lemon pepper fries & I had cajun which were not spicy! The lemon pepper wings were burnt, it tasted burnt & looked burnt those were removed off our bill; as we ask for the check our nice waitress Julie says she's too busy to listen! The Manager came over very nonchalantly. I must add each dish came out separate not at the same time also we had the corn before we had our beverages! My lemonade tasted like water Once check was received I did not wait for our busy waitress Julie to come back, I walked up to pay my own bill as to not bother her. We ate and by the time we got to the last few shrimp we realized our crab legs never came to the table. This place was awful in Plano - was like a bunch of small sea animals thrown in a bag in it's normal form - I literally was disgusted - whatever sauce they used to add was oily and the smell of it was just an awful grease smell for the mild option; made me sick to my stomach and whiskers on the shrimp - was like a big seafood road kill of sorts and thrown in a plastic bag with no flavor and icky looking- especially the crab and I was scrapping thru it once opened / I have no idea what the gray slimy stuff was to get to the meat - we spent over 100 dollars on what was equivalent to seafood road kill- I will never go there again...could not get the crawfish out of my head,either, with all the legs on it that looked like a a bunch of dead animals and not appetizing at all, just horrible!! Sad thing, I went here in the past and the shrimp was clean(no head on it and that gray stripe was not there) was a peel and eat/ not this new scenario, with eyes whiskers- just gross...to each his own, but not for me...slimy, tasteless and careless- could have removed the whiskers...eewww! was not worth 150 dollars, could have had an actual meal at Pappadeaux with flavor and appealing. Came for a friend's birthday to try it out for the first time, and it's all I've been thinking about since I left. Got a bag with snow crab legs and crawfish with hard boiled eggs and corn add-ons, with the Shebang sauce (all 3 sauces together, trust me just do it) and a side of Cajun fries (mild) and white rice. The Cajun fries were well-seasoned, crispy, and actually a bit spicy, but the rice was the perfect accompaniment to the saucy, sweet crab and crawfish meat. The seafood was fresh and tender, delicious with the shebang sauce or simply dipped in melted butter. There's something comforting about sitting at a big table with your friends and family, eating with your hands; the caveman dna coming through I suppose. I love this place usually. It has been close to 2 yrs since I'd been. Although I eat crab at least 2/3 times a month. Sometimes more. It was slow. I felt rushed to order. Instead of ordering by the pound. I was asked if I want one or two clusters. I was told usually one pound is about one cluster. As usually food was good. I get the bill it's manually entered at 1.8ish pounds. And a bill of 90ish dollars. This is the location in Dallas. When I spoke with the manager something didn't feel right. I came here because we used to have a location in Houston that I enjoyed but I was not impressed sadly. I got fried fish and it didn't taste like catfish nor was it seasoned or crispy enough. Consistent flavors, fresh seafood no matter which location we go to, and it's well worth the wait. We always get raw oysters, a few snow crab legs, a couple pounds of spicy crawfish & shrimp, corn and potatoes. Went to their new location in Dallas and tried their fresh clams for the very first time - yum! I'm not sure why we've never though to order those before...maybe because we aren't allowed to import fresh crawfish in Michigan, so that's always first on our minds as opposed to the clams? We also got deep fried soft shell crab; crunchy, juicy, and meaty, and a lot bigger than I was expecting! Their loaded crab fries came with real chunks of lump crab meat, and it mixed well with the garlic aioli. I've never had a bad experience at any Boiling Crab locations, and it's one of the first things I add to my list of places to eat when we travel to the West Coast! We loved this place!!! There was a little bit of a wait as they weren't taking reservations, but we hopped on the Yelp waitlist which saved us some time. All in all, it was only about 30 mins from joining the waitlist to being seated. The prices were reasonable - $16/lb shrimp, $14/lb crawfish, $40/lb snow crab. The servers were all so friendly and service was prompt. Definitely recommend the shabang sauce which is a combo of all of the flavors. We did medium spice which was delicious. Food is good except for the piece of shell I got on an order of fried oysters. Philip was our waiter, he seems like he did not want to be our waiter. Minutes later another waiter came instead. Then he was back later. My wife ordered a michelada and it was disgusting, he poured the whole bottle of spicy sauce, so she ordered a second drink, margarita.
