My #1 We ordered to go
    Shanice B.

This location is very clean. The service was immaculate. The vibes are always going. Food was hot and fast. If you do not like spicy foods get the mild or regular, because the hot is HOT . I got two #1's with a kids meal : Fried shrimp . Make sure you try the drinks!!

Love their combo fried rice & catfish basket. Had the seafood boil in the past it's good too - like that it's customizable.

Shrimp fried rice, fried catfish, garlic noodles, clams, shrimp, octopus, broccoli and sausage.

I don't understand how this place has such high ratings. My friend and I decided to give this place a try after seeing an Instagram post about their "all you can eat" seafood option for only $44 per person. We went on a Wednesday evening. Place wasn't too packed. Sat down right away. Ordered our first round of the all you can eat. Food was cold. No taste. No spice. No seasoning. Shrimp was dirty. Crab legs were small. Gumbo was weird (I don't think they make roux the way normal people make roux). Lemon pepper wings had no lemon pepper (how?). Clams were nasty and looked old. Octopus was big and chewy. Extremely overcooked. Garlic noodles were beyond dry with no flavor. Fried pickles were wet and salty. The only thing that was good and called for a second round was the shrimp fried rice (even though the rice was VERY dry), the corn and the fried catfish. So I pretty much paid $63 to just drink and eat catfish, rice and corn). I'd only come back here for drinks. But I loved the fact that my bill was so low. Between the all you can eat, 3 happy drinks and their automatic 15% gratuity), I was pleased with my $63 bill. So I'd recommend you come here for $5 drinks and shots (3pm-6pm), good customer service and great music playing over the speakers. I'll stick to my regular spot I go to for seafood where EVERYTHING on the menu is clean, hot and flavorful.

Build your own-- 1lb crab, shrimp, potato, andouille --Cajun sauce

You walk in and order at the counter- and then you're on your own after that, so if you need a drink refill don't expect people to come check on you- just flag them down, they're friendly and more than happy to help. There were enough people in there to not make us worry that it was awful food, but easily got a table (you obviously seat yourself). Someone's on the floor bussing the tables, so you don't clean up after yourself and there were never piles of mess sitting there, she's very efficient. The crab was handled perfectly - I had no issues getting my meat out and they were GREAT sized clusters. I chose the build your own boil and they asked if I wanted the potatoes, corn, and sausage- I opted for everything but the corn. The sauce was great- however at the bottom it's pure sludge- it's like...paste. We asked for a garlic butter to dip the crab in- they obliged. I will 100% be going back to this place, it's one of the best ones I've been to. I'm so glad it's in my area.

My seafood boil was good. A bit pricey but I would say average these days. This was all $35. Good vibe and music playing the service was fast maybe not super friendly, but not rude at all. The seafood boil was jampacked with flavor no complaints. Well they could have given me a bigger piece of sausage. The sausage piece is very small. I say this because shrimp and crawfish really don't cost that much.

I'm really picky about seafood because I lived near the ocean on the East Coast and had a variety of fresh seafood to choose from. I was nearby and thought that I would try them out. Wellll let's just say that I highly recommend this establishment. The garlic noodles with shrimp was flavorful and a decent sized portion. That sauce was delicious so next time I think I will get extra sauce. I got a pound of crawfish medium spice as you can see, I had nice sized ones and the spice was just the right amount of heat for me. I actually put some of that spice on my noodles. It was busy when I went but my to go order was actually ready 10 minutes earlier than expected. The service was friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere when I walked in and the layout was perfect since the restaurant is small.

The service was decent. The ambiance was nice, I liked the decor. The food however, awful, we got fried pickles and garlic noodles and those were great! I'll be honest about that one. In addition to that though the crawfish was most definitely frozen, as with the crab. I mean it's literally crawfish season and they still aren't fresh, worst seafood boil I have ever had and my best friend who came with me, and she's got Louisiana roots she's also agrees. This place was great except for the main component the seafood. Very chewy and disgusting only reason we ate it all was because it cost us a whopping $111. Not worth it at all. Have a better time at shell shack. This place needs to close. Maybe use fresh seafood and people will come back.

REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOOOOOOD SEAFOOD. Their house sauce is so freaking good . Their prices are like any other seafood , and of course that means it's a little on the high side. Furthermore, You get your moneys worth in quality and quantity here. I also love when seafood restaurants allows you to get half pounds of items. Only downside about this place is that it's an hour or more away from me depending on traffic . But it's DEFINITELY WORTH THE DRIVE!!! It's soooo good we had to come here twice in one weekend .

    The #2

The reviews on here are mixed, but I came on a Monday @7pm and was impressed! The seafood was fresh & flavorful. I decided to go w the RC Kick & Medium Sauce, which again made it so flavorful. The Pink Passion has me skeptical because it was tasty, but I felt a little something w just one . Also, the music this particular evening was great! IDK if someone was on the aux or not but whoever whatever DONT CHANGE IT! Lastly, the staff was nice, knowledgeable and helpful!

One heck of a meal (11 lbs of seafood).

Great experience, Damn good food, superb customer service. We had the number 8 combo (Crawfish, Crab, Shrimp, Clams, Sausage, potato and corn). They have 3 sauces, but I would recommend mixing them all together with medium or hot spice level. Definitely worth a visit!

Is the all you can eat option still available at the Dallas location?

Only at the Houston & Dallas location at the moment!

    Are they black owned?

I honestly don't "know" but if I had to guess I would say no, it's Asian owned, but again, not sure.

My first time going to red claws was last week. It is so bomb but I was thrown off by the seasoning sitting in what appeared to be a bag of oil. Is that oil or butter? I really want to go back but I have to know the ingredients of the RC Kick sauce

I'm going to take a guess that it's butter in it but not 100%. So, I love the sauce but everywhere is different. Maybe try it naked with a dru rub or get the sauce on the side if anything but the sauce is what makes it so yummy but that's my… Read more

What is the average price of crab legs?

When is the best time to go? Is it very busy in the evening?

I wouldn't wait until late in the evening. Get there early. It's pretty small. Maybe early in the week is better. But the evenings on the weekends will be a very long wait.

    How is the crawfish?

    Freaking delicious!!

Henry checked on us often, was super patient, and just genuinely kind. Bernie kept our water full and was always nearby making sure we were good without hovering. They made the whole night feel easy and fun. The food was just as good. We started with the mushroom fondue, creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The bread was perfect, crispy and thin but still sturdy enough to scoop everything up without falling apart. We also split one of the toast boards and loved it. Great mix of flavors and just a really fun thing to share. They're also known for some really good favorites like the burrata toast, steak frites, truffle fries, and their charcuterie boards. Their brunch gets a lot of hype too, especially the French toast and eggs Benedict. And their seasonal cocktails are always a hit, really creative and well balanced. Bathrooms were clean, always a plus. Only tiny note, I wish there were more purse or coat hooks, every place needs those. Overall, we had such a great time. At 11 PM, my boyfriend checked again and was told to give them a few minutes while they prepared the room. About 20 minutes later, he went back only to be told that all rooms were reserved, after we had already been told we would be accommodated. At that point, I had to tell 16 guests that our plans were canceled, after planning this ahead of time. It was extremely embarrassing and frustrating, and our time was completely wasted. The manager, Reginald, did not apologize, showed no concern, and handled the situation very unprofessionally. His response was essentially a shrug and a "my bad bro," which was dismissive and disrespectful given the circumstances. This is not how customer service should be handled, especially with large groups who planned in advance. We will not be returning.
