Food is always hit or miss. If you come anytime after 7 the food quality is pretty bad and always inconsistent. My shrimp were pretty undercooked and i could barely peel them. The service is mid per usual. You pay up front and have to hope they come around to refill your drinks. The workers started mopping at 8:55 while 3 tables were still in here, website says they close at 10pm but this location closes at 9pm and they stop seating at around 8:15pm/ 8:20pm. And I'd say hurry and eat your food unless you don't mind it smelling like mop.
Love Cajun crawfish and this is one of the best place to come with friends and family . Staffs was super nice and attentive .

Maybe it's from being in MN where food is usually not as spicy and the seafood boil is just alright that it made this place amazing. Everything came out hot, which is great. The seafood boil was actually spicy and well seasoned- you just have to mix it as little more. The garlic noodles is the perfect touch! Definitely recommend putting the garlic noodles inside your seafood boil- trust meeeee. It's so heavenly, buttery and savory- I'm still thinking about it being back home in MN now. The catfish was pretty good too- crispy on the outside with a nice light batter and tender on the inside. Not dried at all! The service was ok, a lot of young boys who were somewhat friendly. Plenty of parking and the decor inside was cute.
This location is very clean. The service was immaculate. The vibes are always going. Food was hot and fast. If you do not like spicy foods get the mild or regular, because the hot is HOT . I got two #1's with a kids meal : Fried shrimp . Make sure you try the drinks!!
This place was great! My usual seafood boil place has been lacking, so we tried Red Claws for my birthday. We ordered 3 pounds of head-on shrimp and some sausage. Delicious! Although I wish the sauce was thicker, the shrimp were definitely large enough. Price wasn't crazy expensive, maybe $18(?) a pound. We ordered the hot level of spice and were a little disappointed, but now we know to get extra spicy. We also tried the fried oysters as wow were they delicious! Large and juicy and the batter was crispy. The margarita looks small but for how strong it takes, worth the price. Definitely will be back!

You walk in and order at the counter- and then you're on your own after that, so if you need a drink refill don't expect people to come check on you- just flag them down, they're friendly and more than happy to help. There were enough people in there to not make us worry that it was awful food, but easily got a table (you obviously seat yourself). Someone's on the floor bussing the tables, so you don't clean up after yourself and there were never piles of mess sitting there, she's very efficient. The crab was handled perfectly - I had no issues getting my meat out and they were GREAT sized clusters. I chose the build your own boil and they asked if I wanted the potatoes, corn, and sausage- I opted for everything but the corn. The sauce was great- however at the bottom it's pure sludge- it's like...paste. We asked for a garlic butter to dip the crab in- they obliged. I will 100% be going back to this place, it's one of the best ones I've been to. I'm so glad it's in my area.
I don't understand how this place has such high ratings. My friend and I decided to give this place a try after seeing an Instagram post about their "all you can eat" seafood option for only $44 per person. We went on a Wednesday evening. Place wasn't too packed. Sat down right away. Ordered our first round of the all you can eat. Food was cold. No taste. No spice. No seasoning. Shrimp was dirty. Crab legs were small. Gumbo was weird (I don't think they make roux the way normal people make roux). Lemon pepper wings had no lemon pepper (how?). Clams were nasty and looked old. Octopus was big and chewy. Extremely overcooked. Garlic noodles were beyond dry with no flavor. Fried pickles were wet and salty. The only thing that was good and called for a second round was the shrimp fried rice (even though the rice was VERY dry), the corn and the fried catfish. So I pretty much paid $63 to just drink and eat catfish, rice and corn). I'd only come back here for drinks. But I loved the fact that my bill was so low. Between the all you can eat, 3 happy drinks and their automatic 15% gratuity), I was pleased with my $63 bill. So I'd recommend you come here for $5 drinks and shots (3pm-6pm), good customer service and great music playing over the speakers. I'll stick to my regular spot I go to for seafood where EVERYTHING on the menu is clean, hot and flavorful.

Nice atmosphere when I walked in and the layout was perfect since the restaurant is small.
The service was decent. The ambiance was nice, I liked the decor. The food however, awful, we got fried pickles and garlic noodles and those were great! I'll be honest about that one. In addition to that though the crawfish was most definitely frozen, as with the crab. I mean it's literally crawfish season and they still aren't fresh, worst seafood boil I have ever had and my best friend who came with me, and she's got Louisiana roots she's also agrees. This place was great except for the main component the seafood. Very chewy and disgusting only reason we ate it all was because it cost us a whopping $111. Not worth it at all. Have a better time at shell shack. This place needs to close. Maybe use fresh seafood and people will come back.

We stopped by Red Claws for lunch and tried the mini boils, and they did not disappoint! I really liked that they have a variety of options you can add to your boil, so you can customize it exactly how you like. Our food came out quickly and was piping hot when it arrived. They also provided everything you need to enjoy your boil, including gloves, bibs, and a discard bucket, which made the whole experience easy and mess-free. The boil was absolutely delicious, and you're definitely getting your money's worth with the portions! If you're a seafood boil lover, Red Claws is definitely a spot you need to check out. read more
This place was OMG!! First of all, the service was great. The guy was nice and helpful when ordering. I've only ever had seafood boils ordered by my family when I was younger, so this was a first for me as an adult. The decorations were cute and sea themed. We got the #4 that comes with King Crab, shrimp, sausage, potato, and corn with the RC Kick sauce with medium spice level. 10/10. Only note would be for them to poke holes in the potato so the inside can get soaked in that perfect sauce, but no complaints when I can just rip it and let it sit for a second. Food was absolutely amazing here. Seafood size was big, flavor came out right and rich! Not too spicy so definitely can go higher. Restaurant is very clean as well. It takes longer to order correctly at the front, can't imagine how long it would wait when there is a line. Servers bring your drink but don't check on you. So the concept of dining in is a little confusing. They are nice but need to be asked. Don't be shy to ask for service. read more

REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOOOOOOD SEAFOOD. Their house sauce is so freaking good . Their prices are like any other seafood , and of course that means it's a little on the high side. Furthermore, You get your moneys worth in quality and quantity here. I also love when seafood restaurants allows you to get half pounds of items. Only downside about this place is that it's an hour or more away from me depending on traffic . But it's DEFINITELY WORTH THE DRIVE!!! It's soooo good we had to come here twice in one weekend . read more

Boy o boy I love me some seafood boil! Was craving some crawfish and shrimp goodness, and came for an early Friday dinner. Ambiance: You first order up front and then grab a seat and they'll bring the food to your table. Friendly staff! Food: NOM NOM NOM + Rc Bucket 1: good sized mix of crawfish, shrimp, potato, sausage and corn. Great flavor and quality! + Fried Oysters: nice light batter, and decent size. Great when it came out toasty and hot. + Nashville Hot Chicken Sando: very spicy and I only got the medium spicy! Fresh and tasted good though, just will make you break a sweat. Got the Cajun fries which tasted great as well. + Kids Shrimp Meal: 4 pieces of nice large fried shrimp and fries + Chicken Wings: got the 12 piece with half buffalo and lemon pepper and they were super good! The buffalo wings reminded me of legit ones I used to eat in Buffalo, NY Can't wait to go back soon! read more

Great experience, Damn good food, superb customer service. We had the number 8 combo (Crawfish, Crab, Shrimp, Clams, Sausage, potato and corn). They have 3 sauces, but I would recommend mixing them all together with medium or hot spice level. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Server was the best part of the experience. Frequently checked to see if we needed anything. Ordering process too longer than expected. Upon entry you order prior to being seated. There were only 2 registers and 5 or so families waiting to order. Definitely a bottleneck especially when people are undecided. Once seated the food doesn't come out all at the same time. The fried food takes longer than the boiled meals. The food in the boiled bags were warm at best which made it difficult to peel the shrimp and crab legs. Once received, the catfish was fried really hard. Great service but not a location I will revisit. read more

The reviews on here are mixed, but I came on a Monday @7pm and was impressed! The seafood was fresh & flavorful. I decided to go w the RC Kick & Medium Sauce, which again made it so flavorful. The Pink Passion has me skeptical because it was tasty, but I felt a little something w just one . Also, the music this particular evening was great! IDK if someone was on the aux or not but whoever whatever DONT CHANGE IT! Lastly, the staff was nice, knowledgeable and helpful! read more

I had a 10/10 experience. I went to the one in Frankfurt. The atmosphere was nice and the food was TOP tier. I'm from Memphis and this is the first seafood place in Dallas that I would actually give a 10/10. The bag was seasoned to perfection and the portions are hugeeeeee. The food takes a hot minute to come out but is well worth the wait it's fresh, well seasoned, and the perfect portion for folks looking to splurge with splurging. My friend who is from Louisiana said that this spot was the most authentic seafood place that she knows in Dallas so I was excited to try it! My friend and I shared the RC Bucket #5 with RC kick sauce. It came with 1 lb. Shrimp, snow crab, and crawfish with 3 each corn, potatoes and sausage and an appetizer of fried calamari. Let me get started on the calamari. I was raised in New England so I love me some good calamari and this was it. It was served with a spicy mayo dip which was delicious but I prefer marinara sauce. Now for the meal everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Literally the moment we sat down our food was ready within 5 minutes which was excellent! The RC kick sauce was absolutely delicious I kept dipping everything in it because you can choose the spice level and I chose mild. I wasnt a big fan of the crab though because the meat was very crumbly which happens to frozen crab or lobster. The flavor was good though but I wouldn't order the crab again. Service was good. They were busy and looked like they needed help but everyone was nice! All the servers were teenage boys and they honestly did well getting the food out and being professional. Came here just to try the chicken sandwich because we had heard such great things about their sandwiches. They close around 10:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. We got there around 8:30 pm or so and they were super super busy. There was a line almost out the door. All their tables were seated for dine in according to social distancing rules. So if you wanted to dine in, there was an extra wait. We ended up doing take out but even then, they told us our food would take 15+ minutes. They are practicing social distancing and taking sanitary measures, but since there are so many people in there eating and waiting, it does feel a little less safe. After we ordered, we waited in the car until they texted us. But we had to go in and check on our order because after 20 minutes, we still did not receive a text. The food did come out hot and fresh. The fries were delicious and flavorful, love me some Cajun fries. I chose medium spice level for my sandwich and that was the perfect spice level for me, just spicy enough but not too overwhelming. The sandwich, itself, was a bit too oily and a little plain, in my opinion. Maybe it was because they were too busy so the food was rushed or maybe it's just my opinion. But I feel the sandwich was lacking some flavor. The sandwich size was more than enough to fill you up though. Still worth a try and I recommend checking this place out. Do expect a wait though. They seem to be busy busy. read more

My first time going to red claws was last week. It is so bomb but I was thrown off by the seasoning sitting in what appeared to be a bag of oil. Is that oil or butter? I really want to go back but I have to know the ingredients of the RC Kick sauce

Yes they are open but you are right, they hardly answer phones! This is the second time I've called already 20 x in a row because I am traveling from frisco and it would be more convenient to walk in and grab it then to wait additional time but…
When is the best time to go? Is it very busy in the evening?
I wouldn't wait until late in the evening. Get there early. It's pretty small. Maybe early in the week is better. But the evenings on the weekends will be a very long wait.
