Meeting up my son's girlfriend and her parents for dinner. This was an easy choice since we were familiar with the gluten free offerings. I let our server know about my son's allergies and after letting her know, she went to talk to the chef. The chef came out and asked a few questions and asked if we had any concerns. Each time I go to Yard House I like it more and more. I met a friend for happy hour on a Friday. I never did happy hour on a weekday before and it is a great deal! Beers are $3 off and most pizzas are half price. I had Velvet Hammer which is dark and smooth. Great flavor and taste. The carnivore pizza was outstanding. Fresh tasting crust, with ample toppings of different meats. The bacon gives it a slightly smoky flavor. The crust is thin and crispy. Our waitress McKenzie was attentive and efficient. The ambience cannot be beat. The restaurant is still clean after all these years. The booths and chairs are in good shape. There is an incredible list of beers. So five years later, I finally made it back here! This time I came for happy hour, and I can honestly say this is one of the best happy hours (if not the best), in the area. Went March 2026 for happy hour this is one of the best deals around because you get the same portion sizes for the apps they are not smaller sizes like some places do for happy hour . Most apps are 50% off and cocktails 2.00 off. The server was very attentive. I had the dragon fruit margarita that I sent back because it was too alcohol heavy for me and got the Malibu Peach instead which is delicious if you like sweet cocktails (rum based reminds me of a rum punch in a way) the server had no issues switching them out for me. The staff here were extremely rude and unprofessional. I called to make a reservation for my team to have an outing weeks before the occasion. I personally called the restaurant a few days before to confirm the reservation and make sure everything was good to go. And I let them know that I would be out of town during the actual event and wanted to make sure everything was good to go, they confirmed that everything was good. However, the morning of they called me to confirm the reservation again and when I didn't answer (I had already told them I would be out of town) they left a message saying they canceled the entire thing. My team later informed me that the staff was very rude and told them that they were frustrated that we didn't answer that morning and decided to show up anyway and that they would have to wait for something to become available. Again, I made this reservation in advance and did everything I could to make sure they had everything they needed and it was good to go. The drink selection was quite decent, although my first choice, the Ace Guava Cider, was unavailable. I opted for another draft beer to start my night. My second drink, a smoked Old Fashioned, was expertly made, not too strong or sweet. However, I was disappointed with my entree. I ordered the Korean Rib Eye cooked medium rare, but it arrived well done and burnt. The meat was tough, and I seriously doubt it was a true 20oz steak. The fries that came with the steak were lackluster, though the onion rings that arrived later were quite good. The restaurant was also very loud; my watch indicated that the noise level exceeded 90 dB throughout the evening, making it challenging to enjoy a dinner atmosphere.
