Food 4/5: we got the sampler for the appetizer and I got birria tacos for the entree. Honestly, I could've had the sampler as the entree lol. They were pretty good! Loved the sampler. The birria tacos felt a little dry. The rice was good Service: she took care of us and checked in here and there. Granted it was a Friday night so it was getting busy. She still made sure to check in with us! Ambiance: it was a Friday night and we went around 8-9pm. It was that transition time from dinner to nightlife which was pretty nice but it got way too loud. I made reservations for 7pm on Saturday to celebrate my fiancé and friend's birthday. We arrived just before 7 and asked for a table inside. We were told we could not be seated inside even if we waited. We sat outside for two minutes and left without ordering anything. The fans aren't pointed at the tables and the mist made it humid. I came here for my birthday because I know how beautiful it is inside. I have never eaten here, but knowing I was going to be sitting in a radiant that looks like I have traveled outside of America felt like the right move. I had a reservation, and from start to finish my experience was perfection! I arrived and the host was so nice, got the table ready in one minute, sat me down immediately. The waitress was so kind. I ordered the spinach enchiladas with double rice. So delicious! The dish was so large I had to take leftovers home. I came after work with the girls on a Friday-- Heads up! DO NOT come on a Friday without a reservation. We ended up waiting outside for an hour to be seated. Once we got inside, it was maybe 8:45. At 10 PM, it turns into a night club with bottle girls wearing fish nets and 80's French cut bodysuits. The cheeks were OUT, that's for sure. This is not the place to go to to unwind after a long work day. HOWEVER I love the ambiance here. The decor is such a vibe.There were other areas we could sit,I think the front room area is just for the bar? Then it opens up to the big dining room and another bar? They had a great menu for drinks and entrees. I got the frozen margarita and I mixed peach and lychee. It was delish! My friend's salmon came out raw-- I've never heard of a salmon requesting a temperature-- that's more of a tuna steak thing?? I've been to Vidorra in Addision a few times on sundays, and it's always busy with good vibe. The place is lively, the music is good, and it's still easy to sit and have a conversation with friends. This time I had the brisket taco, guacamole and chips, and everything was really good . The brisket and steak taco were both delicious and full of smoky flavor. Queso was gas. It was enjoyable especially with it coming from a hot stone. Enchiladas was slightly dry but it did the job. Shrimp tacos was good! I have come here a few times for happy hour, but never actually tried their food. This time around I had dinner and ordered the Street Tacos (Barbacoa & Chicken Tinga). They have several good options and my waiter did a great job with the recommendations and helping me narrow down my order. I didn't love the chicken taco, but the barbacoa was great. They stuff the tacos pretty good so you're leaving happy and full. I tasted the Carne Asada and my goodness! It was so delicious. The steak was prepared perfectly and well-seasoned. Vidorra is Spanish for "the good life" which is exactly how I would describe the food and atmosphere at Vidorra in Addison. The margaritas were different and familiar at the same time, like feeling like you've known someone all your life but just meeting for the first time. The queso came out in a volcanic rock and was sizzling like it was going to erupt into my belly. Perfect for a cold night like last night. As far as entrees go, the two highlights were the DIY fajitas and street taco combo. Anytime there's a DIY project I can do to make me feel more manly, I'm all in. Especially fajitas. I've been here twice now and both times left me trying to figure out what would make me like it more....im still at a loss. The food is good, no "WOW" factor for me though. Ambiance is nice, clean and inviting, service was ok at best, staff seemed distracted both visits. We asked for refills on chips as an example- it took us 3 times to have chips refilled with 5 other tables in the place. It's not a bad place but a 3 is the best I can give based on previous visits. We love going to Vidorra. Today was the first time we went during Sunday brunch and we really enjoyed it. What made our time there even better was the service provided by the bartender, Manny. We sat at the bar and had a great time while watching a little bit of the World Cup. My husband had the breakfast chimi and he thoroughly enjoyed the large portion as well as the flavor. The chips you get at the beginning are good but our entrees were not very good. The tacos were very dry, the nachos are $12 and you get a total of 8 chips, literally (see the picture) Our server was kind but it took almost 10 minutes for anyone to even greet us. Went on a Tue 5:45p...service was bad! Not enough waitresses - had to wait 15mins before noticed. Our waitress was working inside and outside patio. The shrimp tacos were good but the Birria Tacos were disappointing. The had 3 small tacos with what appeared like flour tortillas - they were NOT crispy. The meat was good but it seemed like they were done in a hurry. And the consommé didn't have any flavor. Should take them off the menu! read more

For starters we got some margaritas-guava, mango, classic and tamarind. They gave us some nice fresh chips and salsa and its probably one of the best ive had. The green sauce that accompanied the chips was delicious. We ordered some queso as well. Delish! I never had queso this good. We went to use the ladies room and apparently the bartenders get undressed at 8pm because when we walked in they were all wearing thongs and getting "undressed" for their night shift. We went to the ADDISON location for a taco Tuesday dinner and we were pleasantly surprise by the following: 1. This location is Texas size big. I am sure they could seat 200 plus. There are several rooms and an oversized patio with lots of tropical plants that help create festive atmosphere. The Tuesday we were there at 6:30 it was not busy at all. We decided to eat on the patio. With so few people the music was too LOUD. I suspect that if we patio was full other people could absorb the sound better. 2. The food on this occasion was great. We had chicken enchiladas and fish tacos and we would go back have them again. Tonight was a 10. Flavorful and pleasing to the eye. 3. We had great service from our waitress (forgot her name). It took some time before they recognize us and she was very apologetic. She asked if we liked sweet and she brought us dessert of charros and ice cream "free" as her way of apologizing for her not seeing us. Nice touch.... 4. This place was a good value for the money. I love me some Vidorra. Although I live super close to here, I started coming for frequently for work lunches and hangouts after work. I feel like the prices are great for the quality of food. I always have a good meal here. I love the various taco options and drink options. My fav is actually the birria quesadillas though. They seem to be stuffed a bit better than the tacos. Our servers are always great as well. I have not had any problems with service or food here. I love the chimichurri rice as well. Its light but pairs so good with the tacos here. Vidorra is one of my fav places to come for a quick bite and good vibes. I never make it to happy hour but I hope I can make it one day soon to take advantage of the drink specials. read more

Wanted to love this place but fell short. It was inconsistent with dishes. I got the short rib dish and that was a solid 4 stars but didn't come with anything. I had to add on some tortillas. Just weird to eat a plate of meat. My friend loved her salad. My husband's dish was disappointing. In addition to be flavorless, he had stomach issues the next day. First off Happy Hour is Amazing. The Atmosphere /Ambiance is a whole vibe. My girlfriend and I sat outside at the bar. Our bartender was Juan who is a GEM to have. He provided impeccable service and made sure to have our taco orders correct and even went as far asaling sure we had extra salsa. I'm a fan!! Because ambience is everything and I literally felt like I was on vacation here!! True tropic paradise on this patio and add a refreshing margarita and boom! Staff is super nice and attentive!! My server Gabbi was high energy and had a great personality!! Happy hour is very affordable and has great options. I highly recommend getting the queso because it's just really good and the presentation is photo worthy. Now there is not a lot of queso in that big looking bowl however, it can feed about 2 people maybe 3 if everyone isn't greedy! Now food, I didn't explore too much of... I got the chicken flautas.
