We came to this restaurant because it was recommended to us, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We initially received our drinks, but the person who took our drink order never came back. After waiting, one of us finally went to the hostess stand to ask if we actually had a server. There were SIX servers standing around, and the person who eventually became our waitress was on her cell phone. She finally came over, took our order, and our food eventually arrived. But what we witnessed while sitting there completely ruined the entire experience. We watched another waitress, who was serving the customers behind us, literally stick her bare hand into the ice container, take ice out and eat it, then wipe her hand on the back of her pants. She touched her face and played with her hair, then went BACK into the same ice container with her bare hand a second time. What made it even worse was watching her use that same ice to prepare a drink and SERVE IT TO A CUSTOMER. I cannot put into words how disgusting it was to watch. This goes far beyond slow or inattentive service. This raised serious concerns for us about sanitation and food handling. And yes, I have video of exactly what we witnessed. We came because of a recommendation. Unfortunately, after what we personally observed, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I'm giving this five stars because Sidecar is still elite and never disappoints, so let's start with the good. First of all, this new Crispy Caesar Wrap is phenomenal. I eat a lot of wraps--honestly, that's probably why you're reading my reviews in the first place--and this wrap is absolutely top-tier. Great size, great portions, and it actually feels like a full meal. You're not going to be sitting there thinking, "I should've just gotten a burger." Get the wrap. Get the fries too. Both are excellent. Next, not the worst issue in the world, but these new menus need some work. They don't stay open on their own and just feel kind of cheap. Not a huge deal, but it's something that should probably be addressed. Finally, the nachos. If you know me, you know I love all kinds of food, but nachos are weirdly my favorite food. I've always loved Sidecar's nachos, but it honestly feels like they've gotten a little worse every time I've ordered them over the last four years. Originally, you could choose between wonton chips and tortilla chips. Now the menu says tortilla chips only, so I expected tortilla chips. Instead, they came out with wonton chips. Not the end of the world, but the bigger issue is that the cheese sticks way too much to the wonton chips. It feels like they're being baked too long. Every time you try to pull a nacho apart, everything breaks. This definitely needs to be fixed. Overall, though, the Crispy Caesar Wrap alone is worth coming back for, and Sidecar remains one of my favorite spots. read more

My group of friends came here to watch the game Saturday night. We got in at a decent time to avoid the large crowds and secure a good table with optimal screen(s) viewing. Massive inside area with multiple bars, games like ping pong, basketball hoop shots, etc etc. Menu is pretty straightforward, American food and plenty of drinks to choose from, including a large draft beer list. The food and ambiance in place was fine, but when the mgr told us our group of 20+ needed to pony up for more room fees, we were blown away. As a matter of fact, when I arrived last night 8/17/26, we were told that we would not be seated because there were no servers available. In a restaurant, with two hours left of service, we were not seated, due to no available waitstaff? I'm sorry, but in this economy, if you see customers walking into your establishment, you should only see dollar signs...sit them, serve them with a smile. With restaurants closing down in Dallas every day, I don't see how this place, which is seldom crowded, can turn away customers on a whim. The man who told us we couldn't be seated, why didn't he roll up his sleeves and serve us? I hope this place gets closed down. My boyfriend called days in advance to ask if a reservation was required for a karaoke room and was told it was first come, first serve and that no reservation was needed. When we arrived, we were then told that a company had reserved the entire floor until 10 PM, and that karaoke rooms would be available around 11 PM. We were understanding and decided to stay, eat, and wait. We ended up waiting over 2.5 hours with a group of 16 people for this event. At 11 PM, my boyfriend checked again and was told to give them a few minutes while they prepared the room. About 20 minutes later, he went back only to be told that all rooms were reserved, after we had already been told we would be accommodated. At that point, I had to tell 16 guests that our plans were canceled, after planning this ahead of time. It was extremely embarrassing and frustrating, and our time was completely wasted. The manager, Reginald, did not apologize, showed no concern, and handled the situation very unprofessionally. His response was essentially a shrug and a "my bad bro," which was dismissive and disrespectful given the circumstances. It's a cool spot, with multiple bars, a huge outdoor seating area with TVs and a fire pit, and lots of high tops, booths and tables. I was quite literally surprised by how good the food and drinks I had were. I would think of it as elevated bar food - it's filling, tasty, and not crazy overpriced. The ahi tuna nachos were soooooo good. The tuna tasted fresh, and I wanted to lick what ever sauce that was drizzled on top. The flatbread and poboy were both solid options as well, and I enjoyed the cocktails. No complaints whatsoever on the food and drinks. Aside from food, this place also offers plenty of TVs, so great place to watch whatever game you're interested. They also have foosball, ping pong, basketball and hacky sack. She stated that there was a crowd but she'd do her best to get to us quickly and she did the entire time we were there. No complaints on service at all.
