The sampler platter could've used more items on it. It had 4 small boneless wings with watery buffalo sauce. The egg rolls were good and I liked the ranch and salsa it came with. The flamin queso came with a fun presentation and was tasty too. The peanut butter old fashioned was delicious, but it's hard to mess up skrewball. The mocktail was too sweet. The Cajun pasta was definitely a hit and delicious. The salmon entree had lower quality salmon as it was quite fishy. The sauce on it was great though and I really like the broccolini. Landmark looked promising from the moment we walked up. The mechanical bull, huge neon American flag, quality spirits behind the bar, solid beer selection on tap, and large well-placed TVs made it seem like the perfect spot to spend the evening watching the hockey game. Unfortunately, the experience completely fell apart once we walked inside. The place was not busy at all -- probably no more than 25 guests total -- and appeared to be adequately staffed with at least 8 employees working. There was nobody at the host stand when we entered, so we seated ourselves at one of the high-top tables in the bar area. We then sat there for at least 12 minutes without a single employee acknowledging our existence. No greeting, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. Meanwhile, employees stood around talking to each other while paying little attention to customers. For a new restaurant in a competitive Addison location, that level of service is hard to understand and even harder to survive with. We eventually left and walked across the street to Yard House, where we had a much more pleasant experience almost immediately. At this rate, I seriously question how long this place will remain open. I'm not convinced even Jon Taffer and Gordon Ramsay teaming up together could save it from its looming extinction. read more

I went on a Tuesday after work and had a good time with some friends. Just so everyone is aware this is a more party style sports bar. There are tvs everywhere, the music is a little louder and definitely has a stronger alcohol drinking vibe. Example, there are shot wheels at every table not just at the bars. Our service was impeccable but I would say the bar was pretty dead and the food was a little bit more on the expensive side for a sports bar but it's in line with the area. Beautiful building and in an even better location, I took one look at Landmark and said to myself, "these folks are going to put Stirr and Vidorra out of business." This statement piece of art sits right in the heart of Addison; neighboring the coolest restaurants and bars. The hubs and I decided to visit for the first time for a Sunday Funday during Mardi Gras. Right off the back, we were greeted with smiles and mardi gras beads, but we couldn't help but notice some quick red flags. 1. We arrived around 1:30pm (the even started at 12:00) and they were still setting up. 2. The event flyer mentioned a live DJ spinning blues and Nola tunes. Then why are we listening to Nicki Minaj? 3. We were seated immediately, but our server didn't come take our drink food order until about 15 minutes later. At this point, Meghan in her 20's would've likely left already, but hubs and I were having a good day and I'm in my mid 30's so I've become more patient. :) We tried a couple of items from their mardi gras menu just because everything was so reasonably priced. $7 poboys, $2 gumbo and $2 hurricanes. The gumbo was amazing and a great value for $2. The poboy was a standard poboy, nothing special to it and the hurricanes were tasty and also pretty sweet. The tiny tiny tiny crawfish boil didn't come with sausage (booo) and the beignets were doused in chocolate which made them in edible for us. We decided to try some items that lived on their normal menu so that we had a reason to possibly come back. We ordered 2 shots using the "shot spinner" that is placed at the table. We ended up waiting 27 minutes for the shots and I finally asked the waiter where our shots were. "The bar is backed up," she replied. We never got our shots. I was excited to have a new sports bar come into the area, especially because right now I feel like Sidecar Social is the only one. However I left here disappointed on many accounts: Let's start from when we walked in. We were so lost and standing around for a good bit, even though the place was fairly empty as a whole, as we tried to find someone who could seat us. The manager on duty was quite rude whenever we asked her anything. They were trying to clean a table off for us, when there were plenty of other tables in that same area that were clean, so finally I asked if our party of 5 could just sit at one of the clean tables. Why would you have your customers wait if they don't actually need to? That was weird. Food- Was mid, we got the sampler and the nachos, the "buffalo" wings on the sampler were far from hot, in fact they had no real taste to them or spice. The chicken was a better quality chicken for boneless and wasn't overcooked like you typically find so I'll say that part was great. Then they forgot our queso and gave us an empty dish on the board for that where we had to remind them that we had no queso on the platter. Additionally, for the price, I'll be honest it wasn't worth it, it had 3-4 measly wings, some southwest eggrolls which were pretty decent and small little ramekins of salsa and queso, with mostly chips. I figured the queso would at least be a a small bowl. It was tough to share among a few people which we were trying to do. As for the nachos, they're called trashcan nachos and came out in a literal trash can which is then empties, so that was a cool concept and the flavors were good. However it was missing most of the meat and was primarily the BBQ sauce and a few other toppings. It tasted okay but again, mostly just chips and sauce. It's like they're skimping on the meals themselves. Then, we order the flaming shots, which were a waste we did that basically for the flaming effect (you know for the gram) lol but they didn't even flame. So we sent them back and she came back with a second set of them and they still barely lit up. I could've definitely done without paying $7-8 for that. It definitely did not hit the "wow effect" mark at all. I will say our server was pretty decent, she kept coming to check on us and the drinks we got were also pretty decent. I got the raspberry smash which was actually quite good. But I'd say that if this is how they're starting off, they better tighten up before they shut down because there is too much competition in restaurants in the area and if this is how you're servicing your customers, and the food is not up to par, the excitement will die down very quickly. Maybe it's a good spot for drinks and nightlife. But I definitely was disappointed from this first trip alone. Not sure if I'll be returning anytime soon, but maybe for a game and some drinks but that's about it. read more

Work in the area and always trying to switch up locations with my crew for happy hour. First time here - vibe is great! Happy hour specials are decent and they also have good daily specials. It was Thursday so it was girls night which features $3 bubbles & $8 espresso martinis. Meriam was our server and she was great. Hospitable from the start - attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the trash can nachos and bang bang shrimp, also good, but not anything to write home about. The room for improvement is behind the bar. First espresso martini came out perfect, but the second one was not. When Meriam brought my second martini over she even specified that a different bartender had made it which is why the color was lighter (clearly too much Kahlua or cream liqueur) so I requested it be remade. The bartender (Sarah Nicole, I believe) proceeded to pour the same incorrect cocktail into a shaker and just added more espresso/coffee... The correct service recovery would be to just remake the drink completely, the right way... with the standardized recipe that Landmark has. Major service failure on her part. Would probably come here again if someone suggested it, but they missed the mark at the bar so it won't go on the happy hour recommendation list. read more
