Air Land and Sea. This is a steak house but has options for everyone. They have 3 vegan entree options on the menu! I enjoyed the spicy lychee martini, which tastes quite different from the other lychee martinis I've had. It's a hint of spice and sweetness combo and how I would sum up the restaurant "a little something for everyone"

Al Biernat's North delivered a classic steakhouse experience from start to finish. The location itself is very large and elegant, and the complimentary valet was a great touch that made arrival seamless. Service was truly top notch, attentive and professional without ever feeling overbearing, which is exactly what you want if you're looking for at a place like this. The ambiance is quintessential steakhouse: dark interior, white tablecloths, and an upscale but comfortable vibe that works perfectly for a special occasion or a fancier dinner out. We started with the Tempura Battered Prawns, which came with three impressively large shrimp paired with a tasty teriyaki sauce. A great way to kick things off. Next, we shared Brad's Grilled Pear Salad. Split between two people, it was the perfect portion and a fantastic palate cleanser before the main course; the pears were excellent. For our entrée, we ordered the 10 oz. Filet Mignon, which they kindly split for us at no extra charge. The steak was prepared and hit the spot though it didn't quite knock my socks off. We paired it with sides of mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. The mac and cheese was good, but not the best I've ever had. The Brussels sprouts, however, were top tier; the sriracha soy glaze really set them apart. Each steak also comes with a small portion of whipped sweet potatoes, which were absolutely delicious. As a sweet potato fan, this may have been my favorite bite on the plate. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we were treated to our choice of dessert. We went with the Old Fashioned Slice of Chocolate Cake served with a small scoop of ice cream, and it was the perfect way to end the night. Overall, Al Biernat's North is a fantastic choice for a celebratory dinner with excellent service, classic ambiance, and solid food.

Looking for a buzzing, elite premium food experience...this is the place. Talk about feeling the warmth and social atmosphere, the manager, James was friendly and super engaging. This is the place you feel welcome no matter what because the staff is top notch. The food, I just can't even. My daughter and I started with the mussels and clams (1st for her) and we loved it. The perfect light, but savory flavor from the sauce made every bite delectable. We went with the special for dinner, petite filet with scallops...oh my deary...the most savory tender steak. I can't even explain. You will not be wanting for more or disappointed with this is restaurant! Now I just need one in NWA.

So glad we stopped in for Restaurant Week brunch! We were seated quickly, and Gio took great care of us--friendly and attentive the whole time. Pear Salad (5/5): Light, crisp, and refreshing--perfect for summer. The pears had just the right bite and paired beautifully with the dressing. Chicken Piccata (4/5): A generous portion of juicy chicken with perfectly cooked green beans on the side. The flavor was spot on--I only wished the pasta length was a little longer Huevos Rancheros (5.5/5!!): My boyfriend declared this the best he's ever had. The eggs were cooked perfectly and stayed warm, and the dish came loaded with sliced tenderloin, avocado, and just the right kick of spice. Every bite was satisfying. We left stuffed but are already planning to come back for the Key Lime Pie.

Delicious food and wonderful service. First time to eat in the second floor dining room and really enjoyed the ambience. Started with the shrimp cocktail. Nice jumbo shrimp but only three for $23 seemed a bit excessive. Unfortunately the shrimp were a bit overcooked as well. Ordered from the upgraded restaurant week menu. Had to ask for the restaurant week menu as it wasn't provided. It seems like they never provide the special menus whether it's their 3 course weekend special or restaurant week special menu unless you specifically asked for it after you've been seated with the normal menu. Just says to me, they don't really want to provide the special deals they offer. We began with the lobster bisque soup of the day. It was honestly kind of disappointing - flour tasting. However, the Seabass and tenderloin were exceptional. For dessert, coconut cream pie, and the Keylime pie were both ok.

Decided to treat myself to a nice steak dinner at the end of my last business trip to Dallas. Al Biernat's hit the spot. Had the 22oz Cowboy Ribeye with the horseradish crust and creamy horseradish on the side. I did the specialty potatoes as my side. The steak was cooked well but a tad dry for me. The horseradish crust on it though more then made up for it and i ended up really enjoying the steak. I finished my meal with the coconut pie which ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Sat at the bar and the service was quick and attentive. I would definitely consider coming back on my next trip to the area.

This is a nice restaurant. Valet parking and table cloth dining room. It's a little more on the pricy side, but still reasonable. I came here with some co-workers and everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was extremely efficient and well timed, and the food was filling and delicious. My grilled chicken sandwich was $18 and I was very satisfied eating it. The only reason it gets 4 stars for me is because there was nothing that stood out about it to me. It's a nice restaurant, good food, and good service. But not somewhere I would take someone to show them a taste of Dallas.

Ah yes, Al Berniats North, because what the world really needed was another steakhouse. Historically, Al Berniats North was where carnivores thrived and cholesterol dreams came true. Think prime rib the size of your head, leather booths, and more mahogany than a cigar lounge in 1997. But I had different plans... a seafood tapas spot. Well, plot twist: it worked. We ordered the crab cakes (obligatory), which were so fresh I'm fairly certain one of them had a name. Then came the grilled pear salad because why not put hot fruit on greens? Somehow it was perfect. The green beans arrived crisp and tender. And the horseradish-encrusted fish! Oh, just a delightful little flavor bomb that slapped me with taste and then apologized with a citrus finish. We had Lobster risotto for dessert because that was necessary! Service was alarmingly fast. Like, suspiciously fast. I half expected someone to pop out and say it was a prank show. Water glasses were refilled before they even had a chance to sweat. Napkins refolded mid-bite. I blinked and we were on dessert menus. This spot nailed it!

Went to try Al Biernat's through a friend recommendation. The restaurant itself is very nice and service was great. Personally it's more of a date night spot or intimate setting. We ordered the corn and crab chowder and that was amazing, the Caesar salad was ok, and Brussels sprouts were ok too, just normal salads and sprouts. We decided to get the porterhouse with the trio sauce just to try everything. Honestly, we were not fans of the sauces, the best one was probably the peppercorn. The porterhouse was good though, very juicy. We also got the lychee martini, amazing, and the hot toddy, similar to the Starbucks hot medicine ball drink. Overall for a higher end steak house, I kind of expected a little more than just good steaks and meats. The absolute one thing I would come back for is the coconut cream pie. It's similar to eating the Girl Scout cookie somoas. Now that was a 5/5!!

I wish I could write a better review for Al Biernat's North because I have been to the other location years ago and I remember it fondly. To start, they are valet only, which would be fine if they had sufficient support to get guests in and out. Instead, there was one person running the valet, resulting in waiting outside for 10+ mins to get your car. The food really was mediocre. I liked the bread you get at the start of the meal, but the croissants tasted like Pillsbury. The water was unpleasant. I ordered the fruit plate, which came with mint and yogurt, and it was the highlight of the meal. For my main, I ordered the avocado toast. This was most disappointing, it lacked flavor in a big way, and the poached eggs were undercooked and gave me an upset stomach. I enjoy poached eggs, but these had uncooked egg whites, making the whole dish unpleasant as well. It would have been better with a bit of olive oil or salt on top, but only the salad was edible. We all got desserts, so we tried a large amount on the menu, from the bread pudding to the key lime pie to the chocolate cake to the coconut cream pie, and they were all mediocre. I can't understand how they are all misses! Service was ok but nothing special. The restaurant interior was just ok as well, the loud country music playing didn't really match the atmosphere that well. I was pretty let down and would not return or recommend Al Biernat's to others.

Simply WOW! My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary at Al Biernat's and they truly pulled out all the stops. When we arrived, Sam immediately wished us "Happy Anniversary" before sitting us at our beautiful table, that was topped with a heart made of rose petals. Our waiter, Matt Fontana, was exceptional from the start and could have not been more attentive or friendly. He made the night truly special and gave us excellent suggestions on one of the best meals of our life. James Gee the manager also checked in on us twice and was kind and warm, ensuring we were having the best night possible. The staff overall made the experience truly unique and memorable. The food was AWESOME! We shared the Tomahawk Steak, which was cooked to perfection, as well as the pear and wedge salads and the delicious Lobster Risotto and Brussel Sprouts. Right when we thought the night couldn't get any better, Matt presented us with complimentary Champagne before we indulged in two scrumptious desserts, the bread pudding and the peanut butter banana cream pie. We tried our best but couldn't finish them both as much as we wanted to. We highly recommend for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or just have one of the best meals in Dallas!

One word ..Whack!!!!! Wow total disappointment, I would have expected more from a high- end steakhouse. They started us off with bread for the table and let me tell you basic and cold, for a steakhouse the bread should be on point. We had two things from the happy hour the ceviche and the burger. I don't know if they are working with 100% lean or bison -- but this burger was so dry , not because it was overcooked but because of the ground beef. Ufffff Ceviche was nothing to rave about, something I could have made at home. And the service , RUNNNN They won't be seeing my face again !

Everything they rave about Al Biernat's is true. The service from Danny was beyond exceptional! The food was puuuurfectly plated & every bite was better than the last. A true love affair was created! The blackened prawns were so yummy I could have had just that alone & been satisfied! However I'm a foodie so up next were the crab cakes! They were very flavorful & not full of breading which is preferred when you love Maryland crab cakes! I'm a crabby snob, so what haha. This is definitely a place for 1st dates to impress that maybe special someone. A great place to celebrate special occasions and most definitely great for happy hour mingling. If you're new, be sure to say hi to Danny the bar hubby so he can fill your alcohol tank if it's empty! Cheers This restaurant is #BarbieApproved

I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.

Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. The FOH manager, Chris was phenomenal. Mistakes are inevitable in the restaurant industry so we understand. It is what is done after the fact that is a tell. They were great. Food was great and came out faster (On the fly). Now to the food and drink The cocktail martinis are great, cant go wrong with any. (We had the French 76 and Bleu&Gold) The Vin Scully Fries are great for the table Ribeye was great, cooked at correct temp. The Spicy Rigatoni (Zaza) was the favorite. The added sides were great complements but nothing stood out for us. Great FLUFFY cheesecake, I am not a fan of thick cheesecake, and this one was just right for the texture. We'll be back Valet parking Complimentary Limited street parking on a busy road Great interior, comfy seating

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
