We wanted to love Brentwoods. My pros are that the mashed potatoes were great and so was my old fashioned. My husband was looking for a great steak and a friend sent us here. The steak was objectively bland and cheap and dry. I think this is a recent thing because so many people are nostalgic and love this place. As someone coming recent with none of that bias this place is not worth the money compared to similar spots in Dallas.

Even though Houston's closed, I still have options when it comes to the wanting the Hawaiian ribeye. Brentwood is one of those options. I got that which came with a baked potato and all the fixings. I also got the garlic cheese bread. I enjoyed it all.

Oh my gosh I love this place. We were huge Houston's people, so when it left we were devastated. Brentwood has an almost identical menu and everything hits. The Hawaiian ribeye was on my mind for weeks after going. My husband got some special that was fish with rock shrimp on top- it's amazing. It's a special often I feel like? He always gets that. You MUST start with the cheese bread. The sauce that comes with it is AMAZING. Seriously, I love this place. Great date night.

Brentwood is located in the old Houston's location, and their food is an homage to that menu. Everything we tried was very similar to what we remembered. The spinach artichoke dip was exceptional and possibly better. The ribs were excellent and very tender. The prime rib was a little overcooked and a little chewier than I had hoped. They have a full bar and a good wine list.

Brentwood was spectacular. The service was impeccable, following the tradition of Houston's, which used to be in the same location. I loved the pork chop; it was beautifully plated, and being a huge portion also helped! The ambiance is classic and semiformal but friendly and welcoming. Brentwood is a great place to have a birthday celebration!

Service could have been much better- our waiter disappeared quite a bit leaving us with empty glasses for much of the night. The artichoke dip and cheesy toastie bread were melty, cheesy, savory and satisfying. After indulging in those appy's I thought I would try something a little lighter by ordering something from their sushi selection- meh, not a good choice- my crispy rice was so crispy it was hard to enjoy and the other roll I ordered was close to $22 or more- I believe the rice was $14 for three tiny pieces- both were too expensive for the lack of flavor and quantity- Unreasonably expensive so for the portions. A friend ordered the shrimp Louie and that looked beautiful- but a lot of lettuce underneath the beauty. Probably won't be back, but glad we tried- had an old fashioned restaurant vibe.

We stopped by to enjoy a nice Sunday meal. The menu was very similar to Houston's, although it's not part of the Hillstone management company. The server was nice and explained the menu was similar due to people loving Houston's so they wanted to give customers what they desired. This restaurant is in the old Houston's building. I ordered the double pork chop entree. It was good but I felt the pork chop was a little salty. You never know how much salt you can put on pork sometimes. I'd go back to try something different.

Service was top notch. You could see everyone was in there A game. Great ambiance for groups and couples alike. Was craving French dip so searched Yelp and found this. It's pricy at 29 bucks but it was good. Didn't like the artichokes in the spinach stuffing for the Rockefeller. Just personally like fresh artichokes not canned or oil cured. That's what I took off the 1 star for. Would go again if I was craving a French dip again.

Came for a work lunch as a first time visitor -- The porkchop was fantastic and Jessica's service made for a pleasant lunch. Thanks!

The food here was absolutely delicious. The red fish was blackened and topped with fried rock shrimp. Side veggies were great. The broccoli had a lemony taste which was a pleasant surprise. The pork chop was very juicy despite its thickness. Then the waitress gifted us the dessert. The picture truly does say a thousand words. Trust me when I say it's a must order if you like a warm brownie and ice cream. Very rich in taste. Oh by the way, order a side of toast, you won't be disappointed. The waitress very professional and at the same time conversational and personable. The atmosphere was slightly lit with just enough light to enjoy your company and enjoy your food. I recommend this place for sure.

Our server, Stephen, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. We started with the bruschetta board and it was delicious. My favorites were definitely the salmon & pesto and the goat cheese with sweet pepper jam--so flavorful and balanced perfectly. We both ordered the Select Two combo. I got a nine inch panini on focaccia bread paired with the soup of the moment: potato, leek, and artichoke soup, which was surprisingly so good and comforting. My friend ordered the same combo but paired hers with the Brussels sprout salad and had her panini on focaccia bread with tuna. She was also offered three wine tastings, which we thought was such a nice touch! To end everything, we tried the hot donut dots and they were amazing. They didn't taste oily at all, were light and fluffy, not overly sweet, and cooked perfectly. Definitely a spot we'd come back to again!

About 20 minutes later, he went back only to be told that all rooms were reserved, after we had already been told we would be accommodated. At that point, I had to tell 16 guests that our plans were canceled, after planning this ahead of time. It was extremely embarrassing and frustrating, and our time was completely wasted. The manager, Reginald, did not apologize, showed no concern, and handled the situation very unprofessionally. His response was essentially a shrug and a "my bad bro," which was dismissive and disrespectful given the circumstances. This is not how customer service should be handled, especially with large groups who planned in advance. We will not be returning.
