We gave this place a shot for happy hour... only to discover that "happy hour" apparently means happy until 5 PM. Which feels a little contradictory to the whole concept of happy hour! The bruschetta was basically toast... except it wasn't even toasted. ‍ The drinks were just okay and definitely didn't feel like a great value for the price. I love Postino and have been many times. I love bringing friends and family from out of town so they can try a local fave that isn't bbq! But is super fun, elevated casual. I love eating on the patio when possible. And the interior also is lovely. Good service, and great all gender bathrooms. The menu is wonderful for sharing. It isn't vegan but I find great options when we split plates. The only reason I dropped my rating from 5 to 4 stars is that even in 100 degree weather they keep a huge service window open so the bar is accessible both inside and outside. This practice is hugely irresponsible to the environment, to the Texas power grid and residents, and to those of us paying our bill here knowing we are footing that bill. read more

My first time tk eat at Postinos and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Johnny waited on us and was the most helpful person ever. He suggested deserts and drinks that paired well together and his suggestion were spot on! I loved the Green Garden Chicken Salad and will definitely order it again. The hot donut dots were delicious! But the fudge brownie sundae was the winner of the evening! I don't like coffee but became addicted to this desert quickly. I love all the typewriters they use for decor - pretty fabulous decor - and the lighting was superb. We opted for: Salmon pesto 11/10 Bruratta, bacon, arugula 10/10 Mozzarella, tomato, basil 8/10 Brie, apple, fig 10/10 We were both very satisfied with our selection. Made a reservation online and had been to their Southlake location before, where the service was already great, but this visit was even better. Henry and Bernie were seriously the best. Henry checked on us often, was super patient, and just genuinely kind. Bernie kept our water full and was always nearby making sure we were good without hovering. They made the whole night feel easy and fun. The food was just as good. We started with the mushroom fondue, creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The bread was perfect, crispy and thin but still sturdy enough to scoop everything up without falling apart. We also split one of the toast boards and loved it. Great mix of flavors and just a really fun thing to share. They're also known for some really good favorites like the burrata toast, steak frites, truffle fries, and their charcuterie boards. Their brunch gets a lot of hype too, especially the French toast and eggs Benedict. And their seasonal cocktails are always a hit, really creative and well balanced. Bathrooms were clean, always a plus. Only tiny note, I wish there were more purse or coat hooks, every place needs those. Overall, we had such a great time. We were just as impressed by the bruschetta board, except the boquerones - we are expecting anchovies but we don't taste anchovies. I was slightly disappointed by the brunch item I got. Portion was... small for what I paid for. However, I do enjoy the hashbrown balls but with the price I paid for housemade hashbrown + eggs... I am not sure if it's worth it. Updating my review because I have been back multiple times since they first opened, and Postino has really upped their game! Service is wonderful - everyone is so kind and helpful. You don't need to wait long for your food or drinks once you order. The interior is so hip and cool, and the patio is also fun when the weather is nice. They have heaters for the cooler days as well. They have this Fiore Moscato, and it is one of the best wines I've ever had. If you like any of their wines, they are $50-58 for the bottle in-house, and $20 to-go, so something to keep in mind. I love their mushroom fondue and burrata appetizers, and I love how the burrata is seasonal. The bruschetta board is also so great to share - I especially love the mushroom mascarpone, tomato/basil/mozz, and artichoke. I do with they had more rotating flavors for that, apart from the chef's choice. I like their donut dessert that comes with multiple dipping sauces. The olive oil cake was super dry when I had it and more like a lemon cake than anything else. Overall, Postino has become one of my go-tos, and while it isn't perfect every time, it is consistently near the top of my list when I am looking in Addison. PS. Dude, the meatballs with goat cheese was amazing. I can't even describe how good that was, so I felt the need to go on here and review the place. Great stuff, and with a sangria, was chef's kiss.
