    Pesto Pasta with chicken

This is literally a hidden gem!! (At least to me.) the food here was BEYOND amazing. The portions are HUGE. You HAVEEEEE to get the pesto pasta! It's the best pasta I've ever had out. Our server was very nice. And the ambiance is a simple night out for dinner. Seems like a IYKYK type of spot. The bruschetta was sooooo salty, and it wasn't my favorite way to do this either so I wouldn't recommend that but everything else was so good. They have a great happy hour as well for drinks! Will be back !

Wow a must try hidden gem Italian restaurant in Dallas. I'm so glad that we tried it - both the dishes we got the Pesto Penne and their seasonal special Spinach Truffle Ravioli were absolutely delicious. The tiramisu was a little too sweet and creamy for our taste but we will definitely be back to try more of the pastas on the menu. Service was 10/10. Ambiance was nice also. Will definitely be back

This was our first time here and we were very impressed! Incredible service and amazing food. It was a cozy family owned casual atmosphere with lots of photos on the wall. We had calamari, pepperoni garlic bread, Italian wedding soup, and bolognese. Took a cannoli to-go. All fantastic!!! We will definately be back.

Never really come out for Italian, but i enjoyed this spot a lot. The atmosphere is cool and dim, perfect for date nights. The service here is also great, our waiter answered everything i was intrigued about. They start you off with this amazing bread, which seems fresh out the oven, and is light and airy. We then got a bruschetta appetizer which was also great; instead of it being cold though, it is served warm which suprised me. I then got my main course, the fettuccine alfredo with chicken milanese. The pasta was amazing, cooked perfectly and amazingly creamy from the alfredo. The chicken on the other hand was average, lacked flavor and just tasted plain even with the lemon squeezed on it. I also tried some of my gfs eggplant parm and the red sauce was ok tbh. Still, I liked this place and would wanna try other things!

Foodie Alert! My cousin and I picked this spot for a family holiday dinner. The restaurant is nice and cozy with great service. Overall I would rate it a 3.5/5. I ordered the bruschetta and chicken Alfredo. Not sure if it was my tastebuds, but the food was very salty. However, the portion size was very good, enough to take home. I would definitely come again to try other dishes. The prices alone have me sold!

10/10. Such a great place and the food is fantastic. I came on Valentine's Day and was able to get a seat at the bar. Matthew was helpful and knew the menu like the back of his hand. They start you with bread, which was soft and fresh. Entrees come with salads and the portions are huge. Prices are great for the quality of food you receive. Can't wait to come back.

This is my new favorite place! This service is amazing, the food is amazing and the drinks are delicious! I love the old style feel of the restaurant. It reminds me of a restaurant I went to in New York. To eat I got the aglio olio with fettuccine noodles with shrimp and a side of chicken Milanese. The flavor of the aglio olio was perfectly garlicky , the shrimp were big, and the side of chicken was colossal. It definitely made for great left overs! Check out their daily specials on Sunday-Thursday! The prices can't be beat.

Portions are generous and flavors are bold at this local Allen Italian-American spot! Came here with my husband and in-laws on a Sunday night and the place was pretty packed. My husband and I weren't super hungry so we opted to family style one app and three entrees with his parents and we still had a bunch of food leftover. The complementary bread comes out fluffy and warm, which we really enjoyed. Our app was the bruschetta, which comes with four huge pieces of well-toasted bread topped by garlic, balsamic, basil, melted cheese, and chunks of tomato. Some of the tomato chunks were still cold which was a little off putting to some but most pieces were warmed by the cheese and bread. The flavor was really good and we highly enjoyed the dish. Our three entrees (the shrimp speziato, creamy lemon shrimp pasta with fettuccine, and eggplant parmesan with spaghetti) came with three side salads which were simple but refreshing. We all really appreciated that the dressing wasn't too tangy or overpowering. The shrimp speziato came in a really nice spicy garlic sauce and we enjoyed the mix of vegetables a lot. The creamy lemon fettuccine was very rich but very tasty; I definitely would not be able to finish the dish on my own but it was great for sharing, and the shrimp were well-cooked/not too rubbery. I didn't try the eggplant parm but my husband enjoyed it a lot! Definitely a great place to stop by in the area if you're craving fresh Italian food at reasonable prices. Hopefully we can come back and try the pizzas some time soon!

WOWZA, if I had to sum up the food at Roman Cucina in one word, I would say "decadent" is apt. The food here is very tasty but extremely rich. I would seriously recommend having a bit of a fast before eating here, so you can bring your full appetite. From the outside the exterior structure harkens back to another time when this building was a Taco Bueno (those old skool arches are a tell-tale sign) but the inside is completely transformed and has a nice, polished atmosphere. One thing I noticed when we were seated and our order was taken, was the genuinely peppy vibe I saw amongst the servers. Everyone seemed happy to be there. It was really refreshing to see that. I ordered the daily special which was a very rich pasta Rosa sauce with a bit of a kick with some sausage medallions. It was tasty but most likely the most calorie dense thing I've eaten all year. I really enjoyed my food, and the portion was so generous that it lasted me two more meals. Overall, the food here was excellent value and delicious. Just be sure you bring your appetite.

The food is fantastic. Really very good. It does get busy, so get a reservation. They have a nice little walk up bar if you find yourself waiting for a table. The service is friendly and they'll take the time to answer any questions you may have.

Cucina means kitchen or cuisine in Italian. Decided to have Roman Cucina with my family in Dallas. From the moment we walked in, it was a bustling atmosphere that set the stage for an authentic Italian meal. It sort of reminded me an Italy especially the ambiance. With pictures filling the walls of The GodFather, Italy and many things Italian related. The restaurant was very lively, filled with the hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses and utensils, yet the service remained impressively smooth. Despite the crowd, our food arrived promptly, fresh, and beautifully plated. To start, we ordered the calamari, and I have to say--it was some of the best I have ever had. Each bite was a perfect balance of textures: the light, golden crispiness of the batter gave way to an unbelievably tender calamari. It was served with a marinara sauce that tasted like it had been made that very morning--bursting with the fresh, natural sweetness of tomatoes and a hint of garlic and basil. Every dip into that sauce elevated the calamari even more. Oh let me not forget to squeeze the lemon wedge over the calamari to after tasting it by itself, that actually took it to a whole other level. Alongside our appetizer, we enjoyed their complimentary bread, which came out warm and paired perfectly with a simple yet irresistible mix of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The combination of the crusty bread soaking up that tangy, slightly sweet balsamic was addictive--so much so that we had to stop ourselves from filling up before our entrées arrived! You've been warned! For my main course, I ordered the shrimp in lemon garlic sauce over fettuccine, and it was flavorful. The pasta was cooked to an ideal al dente, the shrimp were plump and flavorful, and the sauce had just the right amount of consistency. The bright citrusy zing of the lemon blended seamlessly with the rich, buttery garlic sauce, coating every ribbon of fettuccine in sheer indulgence. Every forkful was packed with bold yet balanced flavors, making it impossible not to savor each bite. Beyond the tasteful food, our waiter, Ian, was outstanding. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a genuinely welcoming demeanor that made our experience even better. Even with the high volume of guests, he ensured we had everything we needed, from drink refills to extra napkins, without us having to ask. Roman Cucina truly delivers a first-class Italian dining experience. The food is top notch, the service is top-tier, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're part of a big Italian family. It's been a go to of mines for awhile now, so I had to review it!

When I am in town, this is my go to place for Italian food. The service has always been great as the manager typically comes around to see how things are going. This place is extremely popular so I suggest not going on a Sunday as you might have a long wait. They have ample parking. They provide hot bread, oil and balsamic vinegar as a starter; Romain salad is included with your meal. I love the dressing that comes in the salad because it's refreshing and very light. The bread is soooooo good and addicting! I typically get the lobster pasta and add shrimp. I love coming here when I can, oh!! I tried the sangria that was only $5. Like it was soooo good!!!!!! $5 sangrias!!!!!! I would've had more than two but my family was with me. lol. I highly recommend this place. They have very dim lighting, which provides a romantic mood. This is definitely a must!

I wouldnt be able discover this place by myself without Yelp's help. Their specials and signature pasta dishes, like spaghetti carbonara, are frequently praised for their flavorful and creamy sauces. Additionally, the calamari gets rave reviews on Yelp. Their cannoli and tiramisu is their popular dessert. Overall, the hearty yet elegant Italian flavors encourage customers to return. I also love this restaurant's vibe and setting. Excellent service as well.

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.
