Food: Ordered the uni don. The uni had a strong, overpowering taste and didn't seem fresh enough. The fresh oyster was better in comparison. Ambience: The restaurant has been nicely renovated, though it doesn't have a particularly traditional Japanese atmosphere. The restroom is clean and modern, but there was no hot water. Interestingly, all the staff, including the sushi chef, are quite young, giving the restaurant a very different vibe from a typical sushi bar. Relaxing background music adds to the comfortable dining experience.

Had to come back to FINALLY try the Tuna Show and boy was I surprised. This is by far the best omakase experience I've come across. The show itself is amazing and the atmosphere of the whole experience is top notch. I understand now why it's so hard to get tickets. If you happen to get a chance to get tickets, PLEASE GO because you will not be disappointed. The cherry on top is the AYCE at the end as well. The chefs/staff are super friendly and super attentive. They truly make you feel included in the experience and they all know what they're talking about. This is def a repeat event I'll be coming back to as well as taking/showing friends!

Sake craze was absolutely amazing. Salmon is my favorite and it just kept coming and coming. It was fresh and flavorful. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef was super entertaining and fun. He kept making us what he knew was good during the all you can eat portion and it was all fantastic. I can't wait to go back for just a regular omakase experience next.

We did the AYCE Salmon omakase event for approx $120 and it was delicious! The truffle risotto was my fave but honestly the other dishes did not have a big wow factor as other omakase. The best thing about this is the AYCE portion at the end. There were unfortunately only 2 rounds of the AYCE that you can order until your resv is over. This was an experience I'm glad, but unsure if I would do it agajn

Food is amazing, the service and the ambiance, the full trifecta!! Whenever I'm in town for business I make it a point to come and visit. The omakase experience and the quality of sushi is A+. It's cozy yet modern. Don't miss out on their Tuna Shows when available!

Friendly staff. Amazing sushi. Unique, artfully presented, fresh and yummy! Shima Aji, oyster shooter, Uni as toppings, & Fatty roll were FANTASTIC!! Amelio sushi chef is friendly and loves what he does. Highly recommend sitting at the bar. Pat is a friendly server with a great smile.

Omakase at Yujo was good - not a standout compared to other spots. overall fish was fresh but the rice wasn't as complementary. Would definitely come back for the tuna cutting experience.

Just want to say again over a year later 5 stars. Everyone here is friendly , patient, knowledgeable, and clean. They provide the best experience, in the most relaxed setting. Please come and enjoy. I beg you.

Service was really great. We did the 13 course omakase for $75 which was fun. The fish was fresh and the flavors were creative. We loved the first few courses of sashimi but most of the nigiri were seared which we really prefer it to be raw!!! So wouldn't order it again but we did enjoy it overall.

This review is for the Dallas location of Yujo. Yujo's sushi is not bad. They also have a flare for the theatrics meaning some pieces are presented with fancy plating, smoke, or spritz of gold flakes. Since Yujo is Vietnamese owned they actually have one piece of nigiri that stood out for me. On this piece they actually put a couple dots of fish sauce on top. This create a very unique taste, blending Vietnamese and Japanese flavors. It's actually very good. Two things that I didn't like were the tamago (egg) piece and the miso soup. Both did not taste good. The tamago had a weird taste to it and the miso was really watery.

Went with one of my friends, quality of fish here was very nice. Volcano rolls was very nice especially with the scallops on top. Also the tuna roll which will be pictured was also very good. Vibe was nice and pretty, and service was good. Would recommend here!

Fresh sushi always. We tried the Kanpai, which is a prix fixe menu, but they were able to address shellfish allergy. I've been here before too and loved it but my only concern this time was that despite letting the chef know that I cannot have eel he put eel sauce on my hand roll. Apparently there's no eel in the sauce, but the sauce is cooked off; however, I was apprehensive so skipped it. The yellowtail sashimi and salmon nigiri were the best bites.

Wow wow wow. I didn't know I needed Yujo in my life. We ordered omakase - uni craze. Each piece is topped with fat uni. Uni, caviar, gold flakes, high quality fish and wagyu were presented in the most beautiful way. The wagyu pieces were super tender and buttery that melted in my mouth. Some of the pieces were torched to get the smoked flavor. This is one of the best omakases I've been to! I'm definitely coming back!! Highly recommend!

It isn't vegan but I find great options when we split plates. The only reason I dropped my rating from 5 to 4 stars is that even in 100 degree weather they keep a huge service window open so the bar is accessible both inside and outside. This practice is hugely irresponsible to the environment, to the Texas power grid and residents, and to those of us paying our bill here knowing we are footing that bill.

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.
