    O3 Omurice Fried Shrimp Curry

Amazing food! Quick service and casual ambience. I loved my tonkotsu ramen with double garlic. The broth was delicious as was the pork. We also got chicken karage as starters and that was delicious too. Not overly fried and lightly breaded. It was served with lemon and a dipping sauce. Also got shrimp omurice which was excellent! Will be back again!

Dropped by with some friends when an event ended nearby and was pleasantly surprised. I've had plenty of Americanized ramen and been to Japan myself and this place impressed me more than expected. I got the Tonkotsu mild and it wasn't spicy at all to my delight. It had spinach, which wasn't traditional, but I enjoyed it all the same. The chashu was good (my only complaint is that I was having trouble biting it off!), the broth was rich, and the noodles had good texture. Plus it was slightly cheaper than other ramen in the area! The vibe was cute, mildly traditional ramen shop with Ghibli movies playing and smelling great. I'd say the service was a little slow and inattentive as my only complaint. I'll for sure be bringing others back!

Well we have been wanting to try this place due to the good rating. Not sure why but everything we tried were not good for the exception of the fried oysters. None of us finished what we ordered. I will give it another try to be sure. Maybe it is just that day. ‍

We came here last week for dinner and waited about 15 minutes for a table of 7. It's a pretty small restaurant. Only one big table, all the other tables were for groups of 2-4. I ordered their tonkotsu ramen mild. It was honestly really good, but a bit on the saltier side. I'm not a huge fan of their chashu pork, it was really hard for me to chew so I gave them to my husband. The broth came foamy, which is kinda weird since it's the first time I ever had foamy broth, but it was flavorful and good! Overall, I would come back to try some of their other ramens and maybe ask for less salt. It's in the same parking lot as barnes and nobles so you can walk around there after eating!

Solid Japanese comfort food, from the ramen to the curry. I prefer the ramen here but love that the curry tastes homemade. I actually don't like Golden Curry or Coco curry all that much and prefer this place. Doesn't compare to what I've had in Japan, but Moriya is one of the more solid choices in DFW Love that the ramen has pork or chicken chashu! Great service and appreciate that there is parking!

This place is criminally good. You may catch a bit of a wait depending on when you go, but it is so worth it. The omurice katsu curry is served piping hot and has a beautiful flavor profile that feels like home. This is a meal that I will always return to when we are in the area. I truly do want to try out the rest of their menu, but can't part from this one just yet. I've managed to do a small sample of ramen which was good and their takoyaki was good too, but nothing has rivaled the curry. The wait staff is also very quick. You can tell they are all seasoned pros ans accustomed to handling the crowds. We will 100% be back!

I really wanted to like this place. We went right when it opened and there was a short line to get in. We were quickly seated and the place filled up over the next 10 minutes or so. It's very popular so be prepared for a short wait. The service was fine. We were never left wanting or feel like we were waiting for anything. My issue is the food. Let me be clear, this place is good, just not to my liking. I don't like wavy noodles. Forever I just thought I didn't like ramen. It turns out it's those pesky wavy noodles that ruin the dish for me. I ordered the black garlic tonkatsu ramen with the spicy upcharge. The broth was rich and had a nice red hue to it. I expected to have my nose run but that was quickly squashed. I couldn't really detect any heat. I loaded it up with the provided chili powder and hot oil and was still dissapointed. Although the broth was rich, it lacked body and character. My wife had the non spicy version and had to load it up with soy sauce until she just gave up. The pork was fine, egg was cooked well but cold even in the hot broth. The raw spinach was gross. I kept wanting some kimchi. The soup had pickled veggies but they were gross too. You may like this place. Heck, you may love this place! It's just not for me. Too many misses across the board. 3 stars is an average score in my book. The only way I would go back is if someone invited me to go there and I couldn't talk them into a different place.

    O4 Omurice Chicken Karaage Curry
    Vian N.

everything fell somewhat flat, except for presentation which was genuinely very pretty and enticing i got the chicken karaage curry omurice. the chicken karaage wasn't crispy, even the pieces not sitting in the curry. the curry itself was lacking flavor and depth overall. the rice has pieces of chicken, and it had a faint pleasant ketchup flavor which worked with the egg atop. i tried my friend's pork katsu and that was extremely dry. maybe i came on an off day

One of the best ramen spots in town -- and I love that it's right here in the Richardson/Plano area, so we don't have to drive far for great ramen. Their bowls are really unique: the silky, creamy broth, the flavorful chashu, and even the foam on top easily beat my previous favorite ramen spot. I've only tried one ramen so far, so I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars for now. Service could use a bit of improvement -- things like refilling water, clearing empty dishes, or removing trash would make the experience even better, especially since the tables are small and fill up quickly as more dishes come out. Price-wise, it's on par with other ramen shops in the area, and I think it's totally worth it for how unique and delicious the ramen is. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

So this ramen restaurant is over the top amazing! The ramen is super amazing! Where I just could not get enough broth and noodles. OMG so good! Takoyaki was melt in your mouth with chewy octopus greatness! The curry was very good here too! Service was lighting fast and very easy to work with. What I really liked about this place was that there was some cool manga comics and games you could read or play while waiting or eating for that matter. Which I really thought added to the whole experience This is the type ramen house where if you just hang out here you feel like you are in Japan. It feels that authentic to me. It's the type of place where you can't wait to go back to.. Highly recommend, if you haven't stopped by yet here you are doing yourself a disservice. It's just that good!

Moriya Shokudo is an absolutely amazing place for ramen! The tonkatsu broth is rich and deeply flavorful -- perfectly balanced without being too salty or too heavy. The noodles have that ideal firmness and chew, and every topping complements the bowl beautifully. The chashu pork is tender and savory, the soft-boiled egg has a perfectly jammy center, and the addition of fresh garlic cloves and black garlic oil takes it over the top. Truly amazing. The rice bowls are a great value too. The shredded salmon bowl is tasty, though the portion of salmon is a bit thin; the pork bowl offers a much better ratio of meat to rice and is the one I'd recommend. Both are available as $3 add-ons during the weekday lunch special. My friend tried the curry and enjoyed it as well. Service was quick and efficient, and the decor gives you that classic Japanese ramen-shop feel. Overall, a fantastic ramen experience that's absolutely worth the visit.

Food 5+/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Moriya Shokudo is, without question, my favorite Japanese restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Literally everything they make here is an absolute masterpiece, from their curries to their ramen and their rice bowls. The flavors are rich, bold, and truly authentic, and I have yet to dine at a place that does all their food this well. I've been to this place so many times over the last year, and my biggest regret was not trying every single one of their menu items before I moved. If there's ever a chance for me to come back, you bet I'll be there.

Prior to driving there, I call the restaurant to ask if they could accommodate me -- and they said yes. I got the chicken ramen and subbed for katsu protein, shrimp tempura, karaage and milk tea and my friend got the black garlic ramen. The karaage came out tossed in a an acidic sauce with sesame seeds -- almost like saucy wings. This caught me off guard because the menu does not indicate it would be covered in sauce -- and we didnt want it sauced. Shrimp tempura had 3 shrimps and the rest vegetables. Another surprise because the menu listed shrimp tempura as an item on its own, and then another line item for vegetable tempura. My assumption is this is a cost saving approach -- and while I have no problem with that, transparency would be good for customers. Just list out what is included in the dish so no one is surprised. The ramen was disappointing. The broth came out clear (like water -- i wouldnt dare compare it to pho because pho broth is packed with flavor). There was absolutely no flavor. It was the only ramen on the menu that I could have (again not what I was told when I called). I asked for soy sauce, chili oil and even dumped the leftover sauce from my tempura into the liquid broth and still it could not be saved. The black garlic broth was also bland. Neither of us finished the meal. Service was slow, only one girl working the entire dining room, (it was a weekend so packed). We waited for a while, they forgot my milk tea and it was impossible to flag the waitress until the very end. The only plus, they are extremely generous with the eggs.

The menu is also a little limited - this location has been open a while already so I assume they aren't going to expand the menu beyond whatever is already on there. I guess I've just been spoiled with other Izakaya's having pages upon pages of things to choose from. The dining area is quite nice, though I heard the og Irving location has tatami style seating - which this one does not. Not a deal breaker for me. Staff was nice and restaurant was clean, just wish their portion sizes were at least a little more "Texas" sized for the price. Other diners I went with said the noodles are better at the Irving location but I can't speak to that as I've never been there. All in all still a nice dining experience.

I'm not sure how long this location has been opened, but the very small shoppe corner that they're in appears to dated and doesn't scream "come have dine here". But as the old adage goes, looks can be deceiving. The dining area is simple yet inviting with the unique wood like vertical panels filling the entire far wall. There are no booths, just table and chair throughout. You place your order at the counter using the large digital menu on the wall. After placing your order you can help yourself to their drink station then pick your table. They will soon bring your meals to your table. As noted in their name, Nora Asian Fresh prides themselves on making everything fresh daily. I saw the young lady who was taking orders in the back making dumplings when I went to ask for take out containers. Their menu provides a nice mix of "fusion" dishes which really just means they have a little bit of everything. Their appetizer menu includes such items as eggrolls, edamame, dumplings, jalapeno poppers and squid salad just to name some. Their Bowl meals which come with steamed rice include orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef, pork katsu with curry, teriyaki salmon as well as poke or unagi bowls. On the Ramen & Asian list are miso, tonkotsu or seafood ramen, fried rice, chow mein chicken, chicken biryani, pad thai and Malaysian noodle. Finally there's a long list about 30 different sushi rolls. Jerry and J ordered the Orange Chicken Bowl. Katie tried the chicken fried rice. Jeanne got the Pad Thai and I tried the Malaysian Noodle (of course). We also tried their chicken egg rolls and chicken dumplings. Egg rolls and dumplings: Both were a tad overcooked and their skins were just a little too dry and crunchy. They should've been taken out of the fryer about 30 seconds earlier. The fillings were delicious and they were served with dipping sauces. Orange Chicken Bowl: Presentation was nice with fresh boiled broccoli in a large bowl. Both said it was good. J said "It was pretty good best I've had in a while. It wasn't too sweet and had good flavor." I tried some and I agreed. It was overly battered like some places like to make it and the taste on it was delicious. Not overly sweet and was even a little tart. Yom Yom Yom. It was a large portion, but J finished the entire bowl. Jerry and the rest of us had enough for another meal. Chicken fried rice: I didn't get to taste, but it looked good. Katie like everything about it except the way the chicken was cooked. Note that Katie is very particular about her the way she wants her chicken cooked. Also a large portion. Pad Thai: Noodles, shredded carrots, green onions tossed in a wok and garnished with fresh bean sprouts and crushed peanuts, Jeanne enjoyed it but was surprised they didn't ask how spicy she wanted it. Malaysian Noodles: I guessed from the photos in the menu that this was Char Kway Teow and I was right. It is a popular Malaysian stir-fried noodle dish using flat rice noodles. Their cook did an excellent job. It had a nice smoky with a savory sweet taste. It is tossed in a wok with eggs, bean sprouts, chives and in my case, shrimp. It was outstanding! Yom Yom Yom Yom. There are many other "Malaysian" dishes, but if you have to choose only one to put on your menu, this would be a good choice and they do it quite well. Personally I could eat there every week especially since they have so many other dishes to sample. But unfortunately I live 639 miles away. Thanks for a nice lunch Nora!
