Even though i came at an unexpectedly busy time, the staff was so attentive and got the food out the second it was ready. everyone was moving so fast and were all so friendly. As i listed to idle conversation with people, everyone seemed to be remarking how good the food was so im sure it wasnt just me. Their all you can east isnt advertised on the menu so i had to ask for it personally but the minute i did they had a sheet ready! You mark down all the things you want. Ill live write out my review as i receive and eat things: 1. Ahi tower is one of the best things ive ever eaten. it brings SO MUCH fish and crab. I really thought it would be mostly rice but nope. GREAT portion and SUPER delicious. will be thinking about it for a while 2. Ninja roll.. AGAIN how is it so good? perfect amount of spicy!! also they somehow made the salmon on top creamy? 3. Yokohoma roll had less flavor than the ninja but it felt fresher! its perfect for when u want fish but not too much flavor 4. Washing roll was surprisingly so good!! everything ive had so far has been FANTASTIC but i normally hate krab. they mixed it in a way that made is actually really yummy?! almost bbqy but idk how to describe it 5. eel avocado roll might be my favorite? it had a LOT of flavor. ill be honest it didnt taste much like EEL but more like whatever sauce they put on it. it wasnt sweet at all which is nice considering eel usually is be warned anything you dont finish will be chard a la carte so make SURE u dont order as much as me because i couldnt finish what i ordered The place itself is cold (which is a big plus for me when im eating) and looks like a family spot. idk how to describe it but you can just tell its a couple familys go to sushi place. theres tons of parking outside too! Disclaimer: My review is strictly on the AYCE experience here. I am a huge AYCE sushi eater, and I decided to give this place a shot because of the overwhelming amount of positive reviews it received. Honestly speaking, I wasn't very impressed by the nigiri/sashimi I ordered for its $45 price point. This was more of a $35 experience or less. My first taste of the yellowtail was delicate, exquisite, and top/tier but the rest of my selection lacked the same quality. Eel, escolar, and seared salmon are typically my go-tos but they were off-putting here. Unfortunately it didn't surpass my expectations but I wouldn't say it was bad, it was just not worth it for me. In comparison to other AYCEs I've had in Dallas, this would be ranked in the middle/lower bottom of my list. Tried the all-you-can-eat sushi at Sushi Yokohama and was pleasantly surprised! The selection is huge -- everything from classic rolls to fun specialty ones. After doing some research I had to try Sushi Yokohama. They don't really advertise the AYCE but I would say it's definitely worth it. At 45$ the quality and amount you can get is there. The place was busy on Friday night and the wait staff did a great job. They just needed more people to help out with the patrons .the AYCE menu offers a max of certain things but it was very good. I highly recommend the seared salmon nigiri. It's a little bit of a hula for me to get up to this location but looking to get back. read more

Used to love this place but now it's all filler crab. I did AYCE and got charged an additional $16 for the 5 pieces of sushi I didn't eat.

Stepping into this spot, i immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. There was ambient piano music playing, the game was on low and our server's voice was soft, comforting, yet clear. They both seemed like they genuinely wanted to make sure our meal was good. I got the 2 entree bento box with a Salomon roll and gyoza (the gyoza is pork) and it came with salad (which was delicious !! Tasted kinda orangey) , white rice (As you could expect) , vegetable eggroll (solid and deliciously crunchy), and , what i originally came for, miso soup. The miso soup was so good i was tempted to order another one by itself but i was so full already. I wasn't able to eat most of it because there was so much for a lunch special, i didn't expect all of that the salmon sushi tasted delicious and fresh and i had a lil green tea and water with it. Honestly, the whole time was great. The server even asked if the food was okay since i damn near fell asleep at the table i mean you would too if you had great, warm food, great ambient music and a relaxing environment. 10/10 !! read more

FOOD Salmon Roll - The roll is just nori around rice and salmon. A simple and tasty roll. Giant Roll - This roll has crabmeat and avocado in the center nad is wrapped by salmon on the outside. There is also spicy tuna and scallop on the top. For both of the rolls, you can tell that the quality is definitely there. The ingredients are flavorful and no fishiness at all. The sauces drizzled are in the perfect amount to where the sauce isn't too overpowering. VIBES This place is a pretty casual place to eat sushi. Lighting is on the dimmer side with some lighting from the window and some lighting from lanterns inside. The aesthetic is mostly wooden with wooden chairs and beams on the ceiling. Found this place while waiting on my son's car to be serviced. Nice atmosphere. Clean. The food is fresh, nicely flavored chicken fried rice, perfect presentation and I enjoyed the entire experience. Came in for lunch, had the all you can eat, which was $45 today. I don't love that the price on this fluctuates, but to be honest, it's absolutely worth $45. I absolutely feel like I more than covered that value in the amount/quality of food that I ate today. Many items to choose from, rolls are not mostly rice or mayo/krab mix (which is what a lot of AYCE places try to pull). Appetizers, soup, salad, hot food, fresh rolls, fried rolls, hand rolls, and more. I did not have a single item which was sub par. The tempura was great, hot and fresh. Sushi was really good, everything was fresh, good sized cuts. One round of Food I ordered was made slightly incorrectly, but it was not a big deal (maki rolls were supposed to have been hand rolls), they apologized and tried to fix it but I insisted that it was fine. Restaurant is nice, it feels like a small authentic Japanese sushi den with lots of wood, and comfortable ambiance. It's clean, absolutely no concerns. Service was friendly and quick. Sushi Yokohama is definitely of one of the top sushi places I've ever visisted. I was just visiting Dallas too, and it's better than lots sushi I've had in the west coast (seattle/bay/la), wish I got to stay longer so I can revisit this place! We went on a weekday, they had lots lunch different lunch specials. Both the baked and regular salmon rolls were my favorite. I've been here a couple of times and I always do the all you can eat option. They don't really advertise it, but just have to ask your waiter for the AYCE sheet. I went last week and it was $36 a person. I love getting the seared salmon. This time around though, I felt like either the quality of the food wasn't as great as the other times i've been. The tuna nigiri was a little fishy which threw me off. The tempura batter they used for the mixed tempura was also not rlly tempura but some sort of weird frying batter. Maybe it was just an off day. Came on a Thursday evening to celebrate a friend and it was very empty when we came in. Regardless, we loved the japanese sakura style paper lanterns strung throughout the restaurant. Service was fast and friendly as they quickly took our orders. The sushi also came out pretty fast but it was also empty so that may be why as well. We ordered the Ichiban and Sara roll with a few pieces of scallop nigiri and shrimp tempura as an appetizer. The rolls were absolutely phenomenal. We went here for the all you can eat buffet. The prices are quite high as it is $45 dollars per person, but I know my brother likes all you can eat sushi and we want to try something new. Make sure you do ask for the buffet as it is not advertised on the menu. Also, make sure you eat what you order as they do charge you money if you do not finish this. The good news is that they have a huge selection of sushi, but like most sushi places they tend to taste the same after the 1st order. The bad or good news is that most of the rolls and handrolls are huge. We appreciate the waitress warning us about this as we tend to under order. The bad news is that you are only allowed 3 rounds of food so you have to choose wisely. The first round is be conservative with the order. 2nd round you can order quite a bit and 3rd round free for all. But we only needed 2 rounds of ordering as we got full quickly. I am not so sure if we got our $45 dollars worth, but it was okay. Food was really good, but I think going here should be a once in awhile experience due to the prices. Poorly cut sushi rolls ( some pieces really thick.) most recent trip ordered the beef bulgogi box and the meat was served thickly cut like fajita meat instead of traditionally thin cuts. I tried the 2 pc bluefin tuna toro nigiri, seared salmon nigiri, eel nigiri (not pictured), king salmon nigiri (not pictured), and the spicy salmon roll. I absolutely wanted to give this place a 7/7 after trying the nigiri. It's some of the best nigiri I've ever had. I haven't tasted eel that fresh before, or tuna that rich. Both salmon nigiri's were also a similar level of quality. Their standard roll, on the other hand was only average. Came here as a group of two and paid $80 with tip order directly from the menu and was honestly very disappointed. The appetizers are extremely underwhelming and expensive on their own ($7 for calamari and $8 yakisoba). Would not recommend. Also got 3 special rolls and 2 pieces of octopus nigiri. Volcano roll was way too saucy. Plano had little flavor aside from the cream cheese. And the Las Vegas was good for what it was but nothing special. Octopus was also underwhelming. They were very busy for a Saturday evening but did well their best to service us. Food came surprisingly fast.
