I was genuinely so impressed with the fish quality and the sushi here. The rolls were all delicious and the sashimi was so fresh. Our waitress Olivia was so pleasant and professional, it made our experience that much better This is definitely going in my top DFW sushi spots!

The sushi in this restaurant is incredible! The ingredients are fresh and their specialty rolls are very unique and tasty as well! Our personal favorite was the Valentine Roll, as it had the best taste and had a memorable appearance as well, as it was pink! The staff were very efficient and the service was so quick! I highly recommend this restaurant! Also important to note, the rolls are usually between $5-10 for the regular rolls and $12-$15 for the specialty rolls, which makes their sushi quite affordable. They also have an " all you can eat" sushi for $36, but as we didn't eat more than one or two rolls per person, that didn't seem worth it to us.

I've been to Sushi Masa probably 6 times in the last year since they opened and what started as an amazing deal for good sushi has sadly fallen off hard. I understand that buffets need to be profitable but this is the first time I've had the leftover extra charge actually used as a threat **while still eating my meal** not to mention that the fish quality has suffered. During my last visit I noticed that they redesigned the menu with new restrictions, specifically on sashimi. There is now a 20 piece per fish type restriction for each order. Which is fair since you can just order more on the next round (no more 60 salmon sashimi orders for me lolol). But what leaves a bad taste is that even when we ordered within their restrictions, we received less than what we ordered. At a table of 10 adults at two tables, and we were told that the restriction was per table, so we could order two times (so 40 pieces). We did that and received less than 20. Again not the worst since it's all you can eat. I give it a pass since we still got most of our order. We then ordered a large plate of nigiri, which we gladly began eating. The server then brings out another identical plate which we respond by saying we are already currently eating it and didn't order a second one, literally pointing to the plate on our table. After talking to the manager the server says we have to eat it or get charged. Next, we ordered a large order of hand rolls. First round was great, delicious. Decided to order the exact same thing again, but the spider hand roll that came with cucumbers the first time didn't the second. Plus the rice to fish ratio was obviously changed so there was more rice now. We could tell the manager was unhappy with us and was trying to limit the food brought to our table. It's a buffet, par for the course that we will put in big orders. Don't reciprocate with a poor attitude that begrudgingly gives us portions of food smaller than what we ordered. If we are going to waste food we'll pay for it gladly. But we actually know our limits and while we order big, we eat big and finish what we order. I want to brush this off as a one time bad experience but I doubt I'll be back after this. Disappointed that a restaurant I liked so much has changed for the worse. I still give it 3 stars since the food was okay not great, but the attitude from the manager is what dragged this experience way down.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here for dinner two nights ago and although the restaurant itself looks the same, a lot of things were different. I'm not sure if they changed management recently, but I was pretty disappointed with my visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Changes: -Their dinner menu is ONLY AYCE when before, you have the option of getting an entree or roll if you're not that hungry -Menu is also more condensed; they took out some of the food items and added a hibachi section -Drinks are not included, when before they were. (We did not know of this change.. soda is $2.50 and soda water is $1.50 just fyi) -Price changed from $34.95 to $36.95 (adult) -Pepper Tuna used to be very moist and good, but it was dry and lacked flavor -[[HIGHLIGHT]]There is now a limit of 2 hour seating when before there were none[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -For Sashimi, there is now a 20 piece max for each item, when before there were none -There is also a fee now for wasting food (not sure how much though) We had our usual and ordered their seafood boil, which is a limited option. Sashimi was great, no issues there. Edamame wasn't steamed all the way, not sure how you can mess that up. They took out their stir-fry noodles, which was one of my favorites so that was disappointing. They had a tom yum soup, but turns out it was a typo(?). Onto their seafood boil. They have 3 different flavors of cajun, garlic butter, and something else. Our mistake was getting their cajun. The boil consisted of 4 shrimps, 4 crawfish, 2 mussels, and 1 potato. The only great thing was the crawfish and potato. Shrimp was overcooked. Now let me talk about their cajun seasoning or sauce....What recipe did they use??? Cause that sauce was TERRIBLE. It was NOT cajun. It was more like a thick salad dressing sauce and it was NOT GOOD. They should maybe use a different kind of cajun recipe or maybe not sell something cajun-y cause they are a sashimi/sushi place, NOT a seafood boil place. Our boil was also lukewarm, if not warm and lowkey seemed like it was left out and not fresh.. We finished it not because we wanted to, but more so because we didn't want to get charged for wasting food so that's pretty sad. You are better off going to kickin crab for a much better and tastier experience. They also sell cocktails now for $10. Overall, this place used to be great and we would always recommend other people to come here, but after our most recent visit, we will probably go to other ayce sushi places around the area. For 2 people, you can easily spend over $100+ just on their new prices and drinks..

Walked into Sushi Masa in Plano for the first time and grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and outgoing , which made me feel right at home. There was a chatty couple sitting next to me, we all starting talking, it's was such a fun vibe. The bartender gave us some recommendations on what to order. Every dish was tasty, and I loved most of the portions was small, perfect for trying a little bit of everything. The biggest surprise, the Sashimi was included in all you can eat MENU ! Didn't expect that and it totally made my night . Definitely coming back for more good food and good company!

First time here...and Sidney made sure it was a five star visit. She was very attentive to our table and made sure we were satisfied. Food was excellent. Sashimi pieces were somewhat sliced smaller than what I'm used to. The LSU roll was great and I had to reorder it to enjoy it again. It's a nice big restaurant that seems well maintained. My new favorite AYCE sushi near home! Took the family here on a Wednesday night and surprisingly a decent dinner crowd. Short 15min wait for table for 4. Wait was worth it. Service was quick with taking orders and food coming out. Food came out less than 10min after placing our order. Decent selection for appetizers, cooked entrees, sushi, sushi rolls, and sashimi. AYCE dinner comes with free fountain drinks and dessert! Highlights had to be yellow tail sashimi. Melt in your mouth delicious. Rolls were good but caution because ordering can get you full quick! Lastly, try the fried rice! I think they put butter in the fried rice!

For the price, I would come back. The quality is good enough for an AYCE. If you're really into omakase and top tier sushi, maybe skip this spot but if you want to indulge in some seafood/ craving salmon, it's a great spot.

Personally for me, this place is a wonderful place if you want decent all-you-can-eat sushi for a reasonable price. If you do the all-you-can-eat, you do get a complimentary drink (1 alcoholic drink or soda). There's really not a limit to how many pieces you want to order but you do get charged if you waste food. I'd say the only thing I'm not a fan of here is the noodles. The tuna and salmon are sublime.

PSA: They no longer do lunch AYCE prices on the weekends starting this month. Today I took my friend to sushi masa because last time I went they still had lunch AYCE pricing on the weekends which was around $21.95 per person. They must've quietly changed it because every table that got sat around us had the same question for the servers. The waiter informed me that they stopped doing it starting this month which was a bummer because it was such a great deal. Now on the weekends the AYCE price for lunch and dinner time is $34.95. We ended up still doing the AYCE option because their sushi is pretty great quality. I feel like we ate our money's worth despite the price increase and left satisfied. Their salmon is so buttery, I love it! We went on Sunday at noon and there was no wait. The restaurant itself is spacious and started filling up a bit closer to 1pm. There is also a lot of parking here.

This was our first time visiting, and it certainly won't be our last! Tristan recommended this restaurant, and we're so glad we decided to give it a try. We visited during lunch, and Maden was our server. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. He made sure our drinks stayed full, checked on us at just the right times, and provided outstanding customer service throughout our meal. The food arrived quickly, fresh, and piping hot. Every bite was absolutely delicious, and it was clear that great care went into both the preparation and presentation of each dish. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations and made for an exceptional lunch. Overall, we had a fantastic first experience. read more

To start things off, I'm from Baton Rouge and I've been going to Sushi Masa since 2012. My family moved out to the DFW area and were pleasantly surprised to discover that a another location had opened near us. Our first visit was right after the grand opening. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was bustling, and the staff was on point. Fast forward to today and it's as if I visited a completely different restaurant. To start off, no waiters/waitresses were at the front to greet guests and they had a dismissive attitude once they showed up. They took us to the back of the restaurant and sat us off in the corner when we were the only guests there. The waitress that showed up later was sweet, but had difficulty understanding English. We had to repeat our orders over and over for her to understand. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Shortly after ordering they turned on music loud enough to make conversation difficult.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is something I would expect from a sports bar, not Sushi Masa. We asked them to lower the music, which they did... slightly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The choice of music, again was something I would expect from restaurants like Pluckers, BWW, Chimes, or any other restaurant with alcohol, sports, and a loud crowd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then the food came out. The mango was not ripe, the chicken teriyaki had the consistency of jerky, the eel sauce was rancid, and most of the ingredients tasted stale. My favorite dish, the spicy kani salad, is something I order a TON of every time I visit. The taste was subpar this time around and it looked as though they had halfheartedly slapped a spoon full of it on the plate. The normal, beautiful presentation that I've known Sushi Masa for is gone. None of the rolls look like they put any amount of effort into them. I make better tasting and looking rolls at the house. I will not be returning to this location again. This is Sushi Masa in name only. The quality of service, food, and atmosphere is in the dumps. The funny thing amidst this terrible experience was that I was thinking to myself, "We could have gotten sushi from HEB and went to the park instead of this drab place." What a waste... read more

Came here for the first time today and was unfortunately disappointed with the food. The staff was kind and attentive, but I had ordered a roll with the spicy tuna that was so fishy, I automatically needed to spit it out. I am not picky by any means, so this was a quality issue. I sent it back with the server, who apologized and said he the chef would try it and see what was wrong. He came back and told me that they get fresh fish on Mondays, so that fish was not fresh. He meant well, but as a fellow server, you should never tell a customer that a dish tastes bad due to it nearing expiration. Just apologize and take the dish. Everything else we had was ok, but I likely won't be returning. read more

This is one of our usual go to spots for AYCE sushi, and it's always pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere/Ambiance - 5/5 - Good sized restaurant, but this place can get pretty busy...so just a heads up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and attentive. They will come by often so make sure to be ready to order and order. Food/Drink - Ordered the following: Sashimi - 5/5 - Ordered their Salmon, Tuna and Yellowtail sashimi, and all were fresh and great. They are starting to limit the amounts per person per round, so just be a little wary of that. Appetizers/Other items - Since it was AYCE, I really can't list too much here. We ordered the Agedashi, Edamame, Gyoza, Shumai and Tempura. However, that was really mainly for the kiddos. You also get either a free drink or sake per person, so that is great as well. Overall, this is one of our top spots and we will definitely be back again. read more

They recently raised their prices and drinks are separate. Sushi choices for dinner are still good. Sashimi was nicely cut, a lot of salads to choose from and were also great. Service was fast and friendly. Dessert options are awesome: fried cheesecake, fried Oreos, and ice cream. They also added a crawfish boil and I wouldn't get again. Lacked flavor and juiciness. PSA: They no longer do lunch AYCE prices on the weekends starting this month. Today I took my friend to sushi masa because last time I went they still had lunch AYCE pricing on the weekends which was around $21.95 per person. They must've quietly changed it because every table that got sat around us had the same question for the servers. The waiter informed me that they stopped doing it starting this month which was a bummer because it was such a great deal. Now on the weekends the AYCE price for lunch and dinner time is $34.95. We ended up still doing the AYCE option because their sushi is pretty great quality. I feel like we ate our money's worth despite the price increase and left satisfied. Their salmon is so buttery, I love it! We went on Sunday at noon and there was no wait. The restaurant itself is spacious and started filling up a bit closer to 1pm. Was referred here by a friend, and glad they told me about this restaurant! The location is perfect. Lots of parking and close to willow bend mall. Came here with several friends and was impressed with how clean and welcoming the staff was! This was the first visit for us! We had the best waitress ever Nami! It was Nami's 1st day too. We were so lucky to be paired with her! She was an incredible person. Nami made this visit additionally memorable. Our table was kept clean and she anticipated our needs before we even knew what we needed. The lunch menu of AYCE for $21.95 was very generous. Make sure all your guests are on board with the AYCE. No leftovers or takeout are allowed. Otherwise, you will be charged Ala carte. Those are the rules. This used to be one of our favorite places to go to for all you can eat sushi. Sadly they changed the menu and pricing recently... and it's not for the better. Price increased significantly for children to $22.95. Adult pricing seemed a little higher as well and the menu options actually seemed less. They did add some stuff (that personally we didn't really like), and they don't have the teriyaki red fish anymore nor snow crab hand rolls. And worst of all they took away the complimentary drink included which was the main differentiator compared to all the other sushi places around. I think it's legit.. surprised by some of the meh reviews. It's a chain. Came on a weekend (all day dinner prices - $35 when i went and now it's $37??) a little before lunch rush. it was pretty empty, but it got busier later. When it got busier, our server did slow down, but maybe they figured we were slowing down. The server was pretty attentive. There's a limit on 20 pieces of each thing. No limits on rounds. The sashimi is the main thing! I liked the handrolls too. Got the rainbow roll which was ok... Some of the appetizers like tuna tartar, tuna tataki, etc were good, so recommend trying those too. Recently visited this place to try their AYCE sushi and I'm definitely going back!! I went for lunch and you can actually order lunch or dinner price (bigger menu). Dinner includes sashimi and more rolls and other things but I felt like there were plenty of good options for lunch already. I can't remember the names of all the rolls we ordered except for Rainbow Roll. Plenty of appetizers to choose from as well. Overall the quality is there but they are definitely strict about charging for leftovers. We had some left and were wanting to take it home. They would charge for waste or charge for you to take it back so keep that in mind when you order. I just say that because not all restaurants who claim there'll be charges for waste actually follow through. The place has a nice ambiance and it's big. Everything is made fresh. I went here a while back on 9/11/25 but forgot to make a review. To start our server at the time Maddison, was the GOAT, told him we were here hungry and he kept coming back for orders and orders. It was a weekday at around 3 so not busy, and we got our food pretty quick each round. sushi quality was nice and really enjoyed. My favorite roll there was the i-10 roll with the mango slices on top; still thinking about it to this day. However since then, I heard the place has gone kind of downhill, but am not speaking from experience. Probably gonna go check it out again. read more

This is probably my favorite AYCE sushi spot, which I have frequented several times already. The restaurant itself is large, with plenty of seating, but during busy times, you can expect a wait. I like how they have AYCE sashimi here, so you don't have to get too full from the rice in the rolls and nigiri. I will usually order the salmon, tuna, yellowtail sashimi as well as their scallop nigiri, which is SO good! They also have a wide variety of appetizers, noodles and rice dishes, which are perfect for kids or people who don't like sushi. With each adult meal, you also get the option of soft drinks (free refills) or 1 alcoholic drink (small hot sake, wine, or beer, which makes this an even better deal! I literally screamed when I stumbled across Sushi Masa because I haven't had it since moving from Louisiana, and I didn't realize how much I missed it until that moment. This place was such a nostalgic win. The spicy kani salad was exactly how I remembered it creamy, spicy, and piled high with flavor. And the cucumber wrap roll? Everything I needed and more. Fresh, crisp, and so refreshing, with that perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Both dishes tasted like home in the best way. First time coming here, and it was disappointing. We sat in the bar area with a table. My sister and I went for lunch and ordered the lunch special rolls. My order took awhile for it to come out even though we ordered the same thing. After waiting, I didn't think my rolls would come to this quality. They were poorly wrapped and the avocado didn't look too great. The cuts inside were terrible. Every time I tried to pick up a piece with my chopsticks the roll came apart. This is the best sushi deal in town for $34.99 AYCE (All You Can Eat) for dinner! Their menu is massive!! Not only do they have sushi rolls, handrolls, nigiri and sashimi, they also have plenty of apps to choose from like dumplings and egg rolls etc but then you can also choose form the hibachi menu to get teriyaki chicken with noodles or fried rice and then end it off with some dessert like green tea ice cream or fried Oreos! Legit spot! This place gets busy on weekends so expect a wait if you're not on the wait list already. The service honestly depends on the server you get but for the most part, they're all super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They give great recs too! The food comes out fairly quickly as the dishes get made fresh! Apps first then sushi rolls which are followed by dessert. Oh and you get a free drink with refills too! This has become my new fav sushi spot in Plano! I get it's not super premium sushi like uchi, but I'd rate it closer to edoku or densetsu level imo. For this price, they wow me each time! A few hours ago, my boyfriend and I came here for his birthday. Everything seemed fine at first, and we hadn't had any issues with the restaurant itself. However, my boyfriend then realized that we had accidentally come to the wrong restaurant. I apologized to one of the servers and explained that we would be leaving. He responded, "Oh! :) no worries." As we were leaving, though, I overheard the server (he was asian, on the shorter side, had a raspy voice) telling the hosts at the front that we said we "didn't like the restaurant." That wasn't what we said at all. It was frustrating to hear our words being twisted, especially after I had apologized. To be clear, I have no complaints about the restaurant itself. I've eaten at Sushi Masa with my wife a few times at this point, and each time we've been able to satisfy our sushi cravings with the lunch special they offer here. Its started becoming our go-to for sushi. We primarily go for the nigiris - sushi and eel, and we like how they prepare fish to rice ratio where its not too much rice per piece. The fish has been fresh each time, and they also have rolls for those who prefer that style. I personally also like ordering miso soup and seaweed salad to cleanse my palate between rounds of sushi. I would pay that much and more going to any normal sushi restaurant The rolls tasted like the speciality rolls you would get at any normal sushi restaurant in Dallas Shaggy dog is my absolute favorite roll and they have that here. Took advantage of their all you can eat dinner. This is a great deal! I was very impressed by the quality of all of the fish. Our server was great and everything came out pretty fast. He made great recommendations and let us order a little bit at a time so we wouldn't over do it. They have unique rolls that are all offered with the all you can eat, plus drinks are included. My family loves sushi, but going with 4 people, including 2 teenage boys, to an a la carte place quickly becomes unaffordable. So what do you do? You find a good AYCE place, that's what. Now that's easier said than done, but with Sushi Masa, we found one. First, this isn't a buffet. Everything is made fresh when you order it, which greatly improves freshness, which is vital for good sushi. Good ingredients are important, too, which it seems they use. The sashimi was definitely the best AYCE we've had. The salmon, scallops, and yellowtail were delicious! The warm food was good, too. From the teriyaki steak to the katsu chicken and the tempura (shrimp, mushrooms, sweet potatoes), it was all tasty. Leave some room for the fried cheesecake, though, because it was YUMMY! The first drink or unlimited sodas are included in the price, too. So, for $35 per person for dinner, it's a pretty good price. Finally, staff was nice and attentive. There's no limit, though they do ask that you avoid wasting food, as leftover items are charged at à la carte prices. This wasn't an issue for us. Since you're ordering directly from the menu, everything is freshly prepared. We never felt like any dish had been sitting out or was being reused, which made a noticeable difference in quality. We paced ourselves, ordering small portions each round until we were full. The kids enjoyed it too, even trying sashimi for the first time. The quality of the food was much better than expected! Fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. When we ordered, the staff didn't flinch or make us feel like we were overdoing it. Service was decent, they cleared plates quickly, and we never felt rushed. If you go with the buffet, you get free refills on regular drinks or one alcoholic beverage. We opted for the hot sake, which was a nice touch. We ended up getting the platinum pass which includes more of the beef. They have great fruit which I was surprised it was really good that I ended up going to a lot of rounds. I would recommend getting some beef soup. I enjoyed the beef tongue. Ribeye was alright. The Wagyu beef belly was my favorite, but very fatty for sure. The lamb chop was great too. I do like the tags of how long to cook the meat. Lobster tail was alright, but a little rubbery for me, but it did take some quite some time to cook. Service was great and I over tipped since it was great. I would come back for sure. But this is only on special occassions.

We are always looking for new sushi spots, so we tried Sushi Hana. Three sushi chefs standing…read morearound, barely any customers--promising start, right? We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tower, Orange Blossom Roll, and Dragon Roll. These are our go-to "items" to see how a place stacks up against the competition. By the end of our dinner, we regretted every life choice that led us to cheat on our favorite sushi restaurant literally located across the street! First, the Ahi Tuna Tower. Tiny portion, overpriced, and drowned in teriyaki sauce (see my pics). If you need to smother raw fish in sauce, it's probably not fresh. Red flag #1. Next, the Orange Blossom Roll. Small sad bite sized pieces (see pic), the tuna was nearly black, smelled fishy, and it was chewy. We sent it back. To their credit, they took it off the bill. But at that point, we abandoned the Tuna Tower altogether because... why gamble getting sick? The Dragon Roll followed. Also small in size for the price, didn't match the picture on the menu but was somewhat edible. I feel like Kroger sushi would have been a better option. The wait staff stayed polite even though our disappointment was practically radiating across the room. When asked, "How was your dinner?" we gave the safest answer possible: "It was okay." Oddly, no manager showed up to our table .. on a Friday night. On a positive note, they allow BYOB--which honestly feels like part of the business model. Because if you're drunk enough, maybe you won't notice the fish tastes bad.

Def recommend anyone who has been planning on going & hasn't paid a visit, definitely go! You won't regret it!
