Matcha ice cream

Stopped by for lunch nice sushi, grill, & soup buffet. Fresh sushi, and lots of stations of grilled items. Table side hot pot was perfect in this cold weather. Large over 25 types of rolls to choose from,10-15 sashimi and raw items, large cold salads, over 15 items of cooked items. Large seafood, meat & vegan items. Serve yourself to items for the hotpot/ramen/ etc. clean quiet restaurant with a full bar. At lunch weekdays $20.00 person. OMG great value. Servers kept drinks full & table clear of dirty dishes. This is one of the best buffets I have been to. Fresh fruit , ice cream for dessert.

Overall, it's comparable to AYCE sushi places that I've been to before. There was a wide variety of sashimi on the buffet along with many sushi rolls and some hot food items. However, it's not perfect since I had better fried rice before. Also, the desserts were delicious also especially the Oreo pie and the red bean ice cream. Overall, I would go to this buffet again.

Can't complain for $20 on a weeknight. I usually go to Osaka in Addison but wanted to try here and enjoyed it even more. Hot food was actually warm. Sashimi was great. Lady at the front seemed a bit stressed tho but i'll ignore it. My server Lee was great too always getting my empty plates.

SO CLEAN! SO FRIENDLY! SO MANY OPTIONS! Cannot hype this place enough. Saw it on TikTok and knew we had to try it! Did not disappoint!

Buffet - hot food

I've been coming to Tokyo One since they were located in Addison. I heard they moved to their current location a few years ago and were doing more of an AYCE setup during Covid. I've had family members try it and were not very impressed. Happy to hear they have gone back to their buffet model so I decided to check it out while in the area. It's smaller than the previous space, but you still have your sushi, hot foods, and dessert stations. I look forward to the crab legs so I usually come for dinner. They are served chilled but you can get the hotpot and then add them in there if you like to eat them warm. The staff keeps them stocked up on the buffet, and I love that they have a big bowl of lemon wedges right beside them. The sushi section is still quite impressive with a wide variety of rolls. The hot food station has a lot of the old familiar dishes including chicken curry. The desert station had creme brûlée but was sadly missing the Oreo pie and chocolate covered strawberries. The wait staff seem to still be attentive as before when it comes to refilling drinks and clearing away dishes. However, I didn't remember until after we left that our server didn't offer ice cream. Reading other reviews I realized that they still have it. That's a bummer. There's always room for ice cream. Apparently there are things you can order through your server like noodle soup. Another thing I forgot about and wish our server mentioned to us. I'll be back and will make sure not to miss out again!

So this restaurant is full of various Asian ethnicities at lunch. I think this fact indicates that the food here is reasonably good or at least a good bargain. I go here a few times a year for my Great Nephews birthday present all the way from Rockwall and Mesquite. He is in love with fried rice and (for some reason) this place. I liked their miso soup and ramen noodles. I wouldn't recommend this place but maybe go check it out once if you are in town

All you can eat crab legs!! October 2023

Toyko One is still #1 -- $45 per person, all you can eat crab legs!! Tokyo One doesn't hold back, bringing out dozens of beautiful huge crab legs. Fresh! Easy to snap! Easy to eat! Need I say more? See my picture! Our waiter was excellent and ready to serve. He quickly prepared our table with claw crackers, fresh lemon, hot butter, and extra napkins. Each time we went back for more crab legs, we returned to a clean table. He kept our water glass full without asking. Nice! The added bonus is that this price includes an "unlimited" hot pot, a variety of soups, stir-fried options, sushi & sashimi as well as fresh fruit and a few desserts like Cream Brule (it's perfect)!! TIP: You can opt out of eating crab legs and reduce your bill to $35.00 per person.

Gluten free shrimp fried rice ( I added my own gf soy sauce)

While in Dallas, my husband wanted to go to Tokyo One Sushi Bar and Grill. Normally I don't eat a buffets but we went as soon as they open up so I don't have to worry about cross-contacted from gluten foods. The wait staff took me around the entire buffet to show me what is gluten free and then a cook took over the explaining what was in the food. The staff made me my own fried rice with no soy sauce, they provided me a gf soy sauce. The sushi guy at the buffet also made me my own California roll, minus the imitation crab ( that contains gluten). The food was excellent and the staff was so accommodating. Our waitress was the nicest and always coming over to ask if I wanted something else from the back. She even brought us ice cream from the back. Oh and their desserts are so good. It was a great location and lots of seating. I did not get sick from the food or have any other symptoms. We will be coming back when we are in Dallas

I've been visiting Tokyo One multiple times throughout the years. I liked them before COVID-19 because the buffet prices were around $20 and the food was good. They also have a lot of options for entrees, sushi, and desserts. The restaurant is clean, but the buffet area could use more work. I recently visited again because I was craving some sushi, and didn't want to drive to Carrollton for my usual place. It was pretty packed on a Friday night, but luckily we came after the dinner rush so there wasn't a long wait. They brought back the buffet style instead of having to order through the server during COVID. The sushi was okay, but it looks like it's been sitting out for a while since nobody seems to touch it. I got a little of each piece to try. Quality was okay, it's what you can expect for AYCE sushi. We came 45 mins before closing but they were already cleaning up the area. My boyfriend was waiting for the chef to restock the inari sushi, but they never did and he was pretty sad. They also offer hot pot, but it's just a plain broth and there's a counter for veggies & seafood. They didn't have any sliced meats, so that was disappointing. There's a small menu on the table if you want to order something from the server. I didn't see it until the end but it has grilled oysters and eel nigiri, along with ramen and soups. Most of the entrees look like it's been sitting out for some time and don't look that appetizing. I guess that the best time to go would probably be during rush dinner hours if you want fresh food. I enjoy their dessert bar. They have a lot of different desserts ranging from cream brulee to fresh fruits. If you want ice cream, you'd have to ask the server to bring you some. They offer red bean, vanilla, and chocolate. It took us forever to pin down a server since they looked like they were understaffed. Even after we did, they forgot half the things that we ordered. They currently offer crab legs for AYCE for $45 during the weekend, and there's a separate area for the crab legs. The crab legs look big, but I'm not a fan of them so we just got the regular dinner version for $37. I think the price is pretty expensive for what you get, especially if you don't like sushi like my boyfriend. It was nice to check them out again, but I'd rather save the money for the AYCE sushi in Carrollton for the same price.

All you can eat sashimi is my favorite. They are exceptional about picking up dirty dishes. Refills on drinks a bit lacking. Our particular server kept mentioning tip and tip amounts while we were eating. I'm sure that's not the norm (or I hope not) that constitutes the review being low. Although all the food we had was fresh.

Tom Yum soup with ramen

Not a bad place to go for all-you-can-eat sushi. On the weekends, the up charge is because you get all you can eat snow crab legs. If you want special rolls, you can order it from your water (it is included in the price). The soups are pretty tasty too. It does get pretty crowded at this place so make sure to call ahead if your have a big party

Melody V.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in the area! They currently have AYCE snowcrab legs as a seasonal offer. This is legit one of the most amazing places. The staff is so kind and for less than $50 you can eat everything from sushi, nigiri, sashimi, snowcrab legs, shabu shabu, and more.

I remember going to Tokyo One all the time when I was little before they went away. They came back a few years ago and I came to try it with my family. The selection feels small but you can definitely make it worth it. The sushi section is huge and definitely one of the sections where you can get your moneys worth. They have quite a few good rolls and even have sashimi! For their hot foods section, I would recommend the baked mussels all the way. Those are soo good. They also have galbi and lamb chops, though some of the lamb chops may be over cooked with too much char. They also have a tempura section which I like as well.

So good

Ask the Community - Tokyo One

How much for a kid? 2 years old

I think they have a phone number you can call to ask. Let me know if this helps.

Do they still have the crab legs on the buffet at dinner time and do they have that at lunchtime as well?

Yes of course.

Are prices for week day/weekend and lunch and dinner the same? I know some places have a surcharge for weekend--and I don't go then.

I believe they have a phone number you can call to confirm. But it's different prices.

How much is the weekday lunch price?

Lower than weekend prices.

Are there special holiday hours?

I bet there is. They should be opened. I would recommend calling them.

Is there outdoor seating?

No there is not

Last night I stopped by after seeing an ad on an evening scroll on my IG, and the algorithm knows me and my fish-tooth all too well. I drove 25 minutes and was presented with a lowkey shop. I was greeted by the cashier fellow, chose the Classic Box, and loved the authenticity and carefully crafted packaging (nice touch). The sushi was fresh, detailed, and satisfied my cravings. I can see people questioning whether the convenience of these boxes is comparable to restaurant dining experiences in prices, but that's also based on personal preferences as the quality is the same/better than most. I would love to see more box/custom options on the menu! Love to see how this young sushi spot evolves!

The presentation is beautiful! But the food itself was pretty lackluster for the cost. I got a variety set and my bf got the seared salmon set. Admittedly I've been to Aji-Kiji in San Francisco so my standards for boxed sushi omakase level was very high. Aji-Kiji was more elevated from the tiny building room to the food presentation, however the price was great too. Here it felt cheap in a few areas yet the price is the same level as them. The rice isn't the best and by extension, the rolls aren't perfect. I can get over that though, just picky due to the cost. Next, the fish was fishy. It was enough to make me worried if I could get sick. I ended up being fine, but honestly this place is just average sushi made to look better than it is

I got gyoza and Katsu Don, and my partner got a Charashi Bowl and Red Clam sushi. The gyoza I'd say was above average and pleasantly crispy. The provided salad was pleasant with a strong citrusy ginger flavor. The Red Clam sushi had wasabi hidden underneath the meat, so keep that in mind if you're a spice baby like myself. My partner described the Charashi bowl as good, especially for the price. My Katsu Don is where I felt everything fell a little flat. It was overly sweet, the rice underneath tasted a bit stale and like nothing, and the katsu itself was a bit too moist and no longer crispy on the outside. However, I must note that it was an impressive $13, when I feel the usual is more like over $20, for a decent amount. The waitstaff brought us these lovely pre-peeled and cut oranges with the check and they were a nice touch to the meal. Overall we had a decent, pleasant experience here!
