Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Vibes: 4.5/5 Good food, especially the brown sugar rice cakes! We each got different noodle soups and found them to have nice flavor and be very filling. Pig ear was good though nothing out of the ordinary.

Solid spot for a variety of Chinese food including noodles, skewers, and more! The interior of the restaurant is bright and modern, and everything we tried was delicious. You order via QR code, and our food came out pretty quickly after we placed our order. We started with a variety of skewers (beef, chicken, and fish cake), and these skewers were so flavorful! I especially loved the fish cake skewer and would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys fish cake :) In terms of noodles, I had the pork belly noodle soup and my fiance had the braised beef noodle soup. Both were fantastic, and the pork belly in my dish was so tender.

Oh I love this place. I wish I could give it 6 stars. I genuinely believe this is one of the best hidden gems in Plano with the freshest, most delicious and creative dishes. The ambiance is great with a variety of seating options and cute decorations. The restaurant is clean and service is notably warm and attentive. There is so much care that goes into running this restaurant, and it shows up during every part of the experience! The spicy cucumber salad is unreal. I've never been a cucumber lover, and this is changing my heart. One of my best bites of the year! I also love the Shanghai scallion noodles. They are so flavorful and cozy. The dan dan noodles are alright, very PB heavy if that's your thing. I can't wait to keep on returning, and No.1 Noodles is already making its way up my favorite spot list!

So some of my favourites have changed over time. The tofu skin skewers doesn't seem to have the same puffy crispy exterior anymore... I wonder if they changed the brand of tofu skin? The chicken cutlet skewers have gotten smaller too. They've taken some dishes out of the original menu but at least my go to orders such as the yibin noodles and Dan Dan noodles are still available. I mostly order to go and have noticed the nice packaging and utensils have changed too.. it's now the average cheap to go containers and utensils. It's fine but kind of miss the old packaging.

Excellent noodle soup - Chongqing, house special and golden soup. The quality is consistent and great. The service is exceptional - we came in at 2:40 not knowing the kitchen closes at 3 m, but they told us to continue with the ordering.

Ordering was simple; they have a QR code on the table that you scan for the menu and to submit your order. Service was nice, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Golden Soup Beef Noodle that had a rich broth and tender beef. I will be back with more friends!

Very clean establishment. Service was very good considering he was the only server manning the front. There is a small area to select appetizer items. You then ask them to cook to order. Ordered: 1. Yibin Burning Noodles Spicy 2. Shanghai Scallion Oil Noodles 3. Beijing Soybean Paste Noodles 4. Dandan Noodle Ordered to Go: 1. Chicken Fried Rice My favorite was the dandan noodles. Very flavorful with a hint of spice. The Beijing Soybean dish was a bit too salty. The Yibin was very good with its traditional numbing effect. The Shanghai Scallion dish was very tasty. I wouldn't order the Fried rice again. It was very bland. Overall, a very nice restaurant with a good variety. I'm ready to go back when I'm in the area.

Ambiance: the restaurant is very clean, bright, and modern Service: service was friendly. You order using a QR code. Food: the food arrived pretty quickly (about 10 minutes after ordering). The black pepper beef stir fried noodles were great. Very flavorful. The yang zhou fried rice was alright, but I felt like it was a bit bland. Both dishes were a bit too greasy for me.

My friends and I thought No1 Noodles was just ok... It tasted like other Chinese Noodles places. The tofu sheets was probably the worst thing from the dishes we ordered. It needed something else for flavoring. There are a lot of choices for you though. However I think the choices just vary a little bit from each other and not an entirely new dish.

So I think that hand pulled noodles are my husband's new favorite and No 1 Noodles was the deliverer of the goods! We had an exceptional shredded chicken noodle dish that was served cold and was similar to a salad and the most delicious spicy beef noodles. I cannot say enough about the texture of the noodles, the freshness of the ingredients and the superior flavors. The service was over the top helpful and kind. The atmosphere is absolutely stellar with some of the prettiest chopsticks that I have every seen in large containers on the tables. I appreciate the modern ordering system combined with some human interaction.

The atmosphere is nice, the food is better than I expected. Service was attentive. Tasty

All the food had amazing flavors so I would recommend everything. My only note was the beef in the noodles was slightly chewy so I would suggest another protein option. The service was great. Our server was patient with us while answering our questions on the menu and knowing the menu well enough to recommend us things that suited our palettes. The restaurant is spacious with many tables to accommodate different size parties so it did not take long for us to get seated.

We ordered: Cumin Lamb (side: fried rice); Singapore Noodle Combination (chicken/shrimp/beef); Eggplant w/ Garlic Sauce (side: steamed rice); Okra w/ Giant Oyster Mushroom (side: steamed rice); and Xao Long Bao (6 pcs). WOW! The braised okra with giant oyster mushroom positively SURPRISED and leap frogged to the top of my preferred vegetable GOTOs...The cumin lamb was SO tender and VERY flavorful. One of the best preparations yet. The Singapore noodle combo and Xao Long Bao did not disappoint... More importantly, the service we received was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. Sadly, the eggplant with garlic sauce is the ONLY reason a star is withheld for this review...it detracted from traditional Chinese style; notes of garlic eviscerated by the chef's sweetening to satisfy an American palette...Why fix something that's unbroken?...I get it. The restaurant has to cater to its customers who populate this mix use (business/lease residential) area at the NW corner of Alma and Hwy 121, but doesn't that limit its draw? Guess we'll just have to head either further south on Central (HWY 75) to the Legacy & Spring Creek areas or further west to the Preston and Warren Pkwy Frisco TX area to satisfy our authentic Chinese cuisine food cravings.

I don't claim to be a Mapo Tofu snob, but I'd rank this pretty up there, from a flavor and spice standpoint. The Taiwanese Pork Chop Rice and Spicy Wonton were also great; although, I would have preferred the pork chop to be a bit juicier. Lastly, the Cucumber Salad had a nice marinade, with a nice crunch on the cucumbers themselves. Their menu is relatively extensive, making for another visit a must. Service: No wait on a Saturday afternoon. There were only a few tables occupied in the main dining area, but we were seated in a relatively secluded section to the right of the restaurant. Overall, service was OK--our food came out soon after it was ordered, and we were well attended to. Ambiance: Casual, traditional. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!
