    It really was awesome

Probably the most diverse menu I've seen. And more importantly the most flavorful. The sauted green beans had nicely carmelized onions with crispy pieces of pork. The beans were nicely blistered making them just right to eat. The service was excellent.

Peking duck "s-1" with cucumber slices and sliced green onions

Plenty of parking and easy to find. Was immediately greeted when arriving. The interior is nothing special several round tables in the center for bigger parties and surrounded by booths on each side. Minimal decor. The staff is so friendly and just pleasant. We sat down at a booth and our drink orders were immediately taken. The drink menu is simple and basic. Sodas come in a can associated with a cup of ice. I also ordered their jasmine tea which is always a must when eating authentic Chinese food. We ordered their Peking duck, salt and pepper seafood and mapo tofu. Peking duck: nice this slices of duck with slightly crispy skin. Came with bao buns, sliced cucumbers, sliced green onions and hoisin sauce. The duck was good and not too gamey. The freshness of the sliced cucumbers and onions topped with their hoisin sauce is a beautiful blend bursting with flavor. Salt and pepper seafood: nice crispy salty with a hint of spice. Not too spicy mostly just squid pieces. There was some shrimp and scallops. It was okay still good. Mapo tofu: my favorite dish that I always order at any Chinese restaurant. The mapo tofu was delicious with numbing spice. A tad salty for my taste but accompanied with rice it's perfect. Jasmine tea is such a refreshing cleanser with any good Chinese meal. Staff: I love them. So sweet and friendly and just provided the best service by far. They feel like home ... like talking to your cousin that you haven't seen in a while. Overall I would definitely recommend coming here. Please be sure to try and venture out to your just typical "orange chicken" order and try something that your server would recommend.

My partner has been wanting to try this place for a while, so we came for date night. Everything was pretty much your run of the mill Chinese dim sum faire. We enjoyed some fried dumplings, bbq pork fried rice, beef with string beans, and egg rolls. The portions were generous and came out very quickly. We've heard the pecking duck is great and are interested in perhaps returning to try that. Overall was a decent meal!

This is for to go specifically. The lunch portion was a lot of food. I also tried the spicy popcorn chicken that was a ton of meat. Definitely your moneys worth and could be split between people.

We revisited Awesome and it was even better than last time. We arrived in time for lunch specials ($11.99) and my wife had her usual broccoli beef and I had General Tso's chicken. Specials include choice of steamed or fried rice, egg drop or hot and sour soup and spring roll or egg roll. Service was super fast and friendly and our drinks then soups arrived quickly. Our entrees were soon her and they were so tasty. My wife said this is the best broccoli beef she's ever had and my General Tso's chicken was tender and nicely seasoned. Orange slices were provided after our meal. Awesome is appropriately named. Y'all check em out!

Amazing place!!! Everything we got was incredible! Service was fantastic. We came on a Sunday night it was pretty full but everything came out in good timing and all the workers were so kind and always checked on us. The duck and all of the appetizers and dishes were so fresh and flavorful. I cannot wait to come back and try everything! Very cozy and authentic feel to the atmosphere! Will be coming back here.

Awesome 五餅二魚 is a Chinese restaurant in Plano that lives up it its name. Yes, Awesome is.... awesome. Found on Yelp, heard from friends, and thanks to a collective effort we chose Awesome for our Christmas Eve dinner and the food easily exceeded our expectations. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Awesome is a stand-alone restaurant. Inside there are 4-person booths that line the windows and, in the center, there were several big round tables for 10 people. Awesome is best experienced with a big group, family style. 1 Star. Service - Our server was so nice. We brought a birthday cake, and they offered to bring out extra forks and plates. They were very helpful, asked if we needed any accommodation, and our party was the last to leave the restaurant, but they never rushed us out. 1 Star. Food - Like many Chinese restaurants, the menu is very big. If you want the best experience, go in a big group (6 or more) so you order a lot of dishes. We ordered a lot, but two dishes stood out for me: Cheese Shrimp and Eggplant with Spicy Garlic Sauce. The Cheese Shrimp had the plumpest, and juiciest shrimp I've ever had in this dish. Battered and fried, biting into the Cheese Shrimp reminded me of the best fried chicken bite I've had. On the other hand, the Eggplant had a smooth, velvet texture that sat in a delicious sauce. We also ordered the Peking Duck which they serve without bones along with fluffy bao buns. All in all, everything we had was so good. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Best. Cheese. Shrimp. EVER. Seriously, I would come back just to order and eat this dish. Also, it's a dish you can order if you're in a smaller party. It's true, Awesome is awesome. 1 Star.

Tasty food that reminds us of home-cooked Chinese food my husband's mom used to cook. Our favorite place to come for crispy Beijing duck. The meal fed four adults well because of the huge bowl of cabbage, tofu, and duck soup that comes with S3 menu order with the crispy whole duck and stir fry bean sprouts and duck with white rice too. We ordered another vegetable side of stir fry green snow pea leaves too. Delicious and fresh. Friday night dinner at 5:30 pm and the restaurant was already 70% full. We had no wait to be seated in a booth for four adults. We had called ahead to reserve a duck. The menu suggested calling two hours ahead for fresh seafood. Service was fast and friendly. We had to leave and the servers were very busy so we did not have time to wait for any sliced oranges and fortune cookies this time so we paid at the counter to go. We will be back often but probably on a weekday again like last time instead of Friday or weekend since we like when it is quieter.

    Won Ton Soup

Came here with my family for a new years dinner, and have to say this is one of the toughest reviews I've had to give. First off, this is definitely one of the most authentic and family oriented Chinese Restaurants I've ever been to, it had all the makings of a Mom and Pop shop, and the set-up was set for a family style type of ordering experience, which was great because there was a lot of things on the menu worth trying. The food was delicious, the dumplings in the won ton soup were out of this world, and the broth was delicious. I saw from previous reviews the salt and pepper squid was popular and it did not disappoint, highly recommend ordering it. As the name implies it was very well seasoned and packed with flavor! All of the chicken dishes we ordered were delicious the General Tsao chicken was next level, and practically wanted to lick the plate clean it was so packed with flavor. The beef chow fun was some of the best I've had, and might have beed the favorite of all that we ordered. What makes this review tough is that the service was 2/3 stars, with them taking over 10 minutes to provide menus, forgetting our drink orders and also waiting over 15 minutes to get the check after asking. Know I say all of this understanding it was new years night, and that they were super busy with not just within the Restaurant, but also with take out orders, and with all the positive reviews on the service I will give them the benefit of the doubt. The restaurant though should have had more waiters as they only had one person working the front, and I will give credit to him as he was doing his absolute best to keep up with the demand. Once we did put in our food order it did come out pretty quickly, except for the Peking duck. Now, the Peking duck was delicious, but a bit cold but delicious none the less, and the bao buns they provided for the duck were delicious and you could eat them by themselves. The duck with the bao buns and a bit of oyster was definitely a bite to remember and one that I would come back for. Overall, it was a positive experience as the food stole the show, and would recommend it for a great Chinese food experience, and would come back here again, when it is less busy because as a mom and pop type Restaurant it might just not have been set-up to handle a very busy night like new years.

This unassuming, plain building holds within it some of the most delicious Chinese food I have ever had! I went here at 4:30 on a Sunday and there were only a couple other tables with people, but by the time we left at 6 it was nearly full! My friends and I shared the Chinese pickled cucumbers (10/10 delicious!!), Edamame, Beef Chow Fun, Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables, Stir Fried minced pork with string beans, and Peking Duck. This was more than enough food for the 4 of us and I happily split the leftovers with a friend! Beef Chow Fun with the flat noodles was very good and perhaps my favorite out of our entrees! The Stir Fried green beans with pork were absolutely delicious, the Mixed Vegetables were good and fresh but felt a bit bland. Peking Duck was awesome, so tasty and I loved making them into bao bun "sandwiches"! I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

3.5 stars really, but there's no half stars. Authentic Chinese food. There were only two members of the waitstaff on the weekend before lunar new year, which was wild. The place was busy and the poor employees were running non stop. Literally running. Because of this, it took a while for them to take our order, but the food came out in a reasonable time afterwards. It's one big open area with booths along the side and the larger tables in the middle. It gets pretty loud when there's kids screaming. It's also cheaper if you pay cash. Canned drinks were reasonably priced at $1.50. The Peking Duck wasn't bad, it had good flavor and plenty of meat. The cucumber was old and tough though. Sauce was good and the baos were fresh. I prefer the crepe style Peking Duck, but this was fine. The beef chow fun or beef flat noodles as called elsewhere, had good flavor. I was skeptical at first because of the color, but it was pretty good. Probably better than First Chinese BBQ. Not a huge portion, two people can easily share it. The Singapore style rice noodle had an incredibly strong curry smell. I hate the smell of curry, but my parents ordered it. They said it was alright. Overall not a good Chinese restaurant, but they need to hire more staff instead of working the ones they have to death.

Parking: Lots of free outdoor parking. Interior: Open design. Clean. Service: Attentive. Food: Ordered Egg Drop Soup, Steamed Dumplings, Chinese Pickled Cucumber, Cantonese Style Rice Noodle and Stir Fried Minced Pork with String Bean - all of them were delicious! And plenty of food for what you pay for! Drinks: Ordered water but sodas and teas were available. Overall: Highly recommend this restaurant! Can't wait to try the rest of the items on their menu - especially the Peking Duck! Yum! Two thumbs up!!!

This place is awesome as their name imply ! It's prob one of my fav Chinese food spots in Dallas. Their stir fry veggies such as eggplant and beansprout is amazing. These dish is prob the best here. I also love their duck, omggggg crispy and seasoned perfectly. I always get their duck whenever I visit Dallas. Their other dishes such as stirfry noodle and fried rice is pretty good too. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants good Chinese food. They open on Christmas Day but expect long wait since everyone comes here

Oh my goodness, the duck! So good.

I am not a big fish person and hubby loves something fried so a healthy fishy meal isn't our first go to, but we went outside our normal tonight. And we left so satisfied. We did the crab fingers (special on the black board... pay attention to the specials they are fire). Tons of crab for the price and the chowder type sauce was so good. I just wish I had more bread to soak it up. Dinner was the tuna with mango sauce. I got mine rare and it was perfectly cooked. The filet was well seasoned and the sauce complimented it well. Large portion of tuna. He got the special (do not sleep on the black board) flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp. Absolutely amazing. The menu pricing is fair given its seafood but not super affordable either. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller. The oysters were massive! The best thing, in my opinion, were the Mac and cheese crab cakes. A truly genius combination. Lastly, the fried catfish was just okay. It was kind of bland but not super crispy either. The portion is really big though. The fries on the side were soggy too and could have spent a couple more minutes in the frier.

The veal itself was very good, and I liked the flavor of the sauce: a lot more lemony and chicken broth than any white wine taste that some places emphasize. However, I do think the sauce was entirely too watery (pretty much like soup) and the noodles were soggy and chewy. Our waitress was overall attentive, if not seeming a little reluctant to leave the table after we said we were good. She also spilled a lot of my sauce all over the table (fine, things happen) and instead of cleaning it up, she just set my plate on top of it and apologized. My side of the table was covered in the sauce for the rest of the meal. My bf liked his dish as well, and I liked the texture of his chicken. I equate the taste of his sauce to the five cheese marinara at Olive Garden. Overall, I think we would both return.
