Grilled chicken salad with one of the packets blueberry lavender whole fruit sparkling water drink
Felicia H.

Okay I had heard about this place and being from the east coast I really wanted to see if it was comparable. The ordering process online is pretty seamless and you have to order on the mounted screens for in person. I ordered the lobster roll chilled the description said it was in a toasted bun but it was not. The Blueberry Lavender Whole Fruit Sparkling Waters was two packets of concentrate stuffed in a cup. I ended up mixing sprite and lemonade with it but definitely not what I expected. The fries tasted old and recooked. The lobster meat was flavorful though and the salad was fresh. The place needs to be cleaned more but maybe they were short handed. I may try again...

This is also known as Angie's Lobster - they have TWO Yelp accounts. Lindsy & Dani Eat A-Z started off with an A+ here at Angie's Lobster! The curb appeal is catchy and inviting. The fresh colors of the exterior draw you in. The entry doesn't match the outside and is a bit surprising, as it is bland and stark. There really isn't another place (I can think of) like this one, so I'll do my best to explain (see photos for visual understanding) There is a lot of open space with a few screens up on the wall to the left. These screens display the menu options - there are so many good ones! Once you've decided, place your order on one of three touch screens on the wall. Ordering was self explanatory and pretty easy to follow. The print is large and would have been easy to read, but the glare of the sun shining through the windows made it a bit difficult. The photos of the rolls look like such a generous portion my friend and I decided to share the Warm North Atlantic Snow Crab Roll. We decided on the lemon butter for the sauce, but I'd try spicy honey next time. We opted for the meal which came with fries and what I believe is Angie's Sauce to dip, plus a drink. The menu has you choose your soda flavor, ice quantity and add-ins, but in reality they give you a cup and you go fill it yourself at the drink station. You find yourself a seat and wait until they call your name. Our name was called shortly after we filled our drinks (unsweet iced tea and Dr Pepper). Both were cold, crisp and fresh! **They don't offer straws or knives, only sippy cup lids and forks found here. I am SO BUMMED I forgot to take a photo of our roll! I think I was taken aback at how small it really was. I was starving and looking at the portion we were about to share, I knew I was still going to be starving when we were done. The Snow Crab was indeed warm, fresh and delicious. The french fries were warm and tasty too. I really enjoyed my North Atlantic Snow Crab roll and would definitely order it again. HOWEVER, they have signs all over stating they are able to keep prices low because of their sparse set-up (no cashiers, wait staff, bussers, etc) and limited supplies (nothing but forks and no straws) they also do NOT buss their tables, you as the customer are asked to that before you leave. All which are fine, BUT the prices are NOT LOW!! The tiny roll we split with fries and a drink was $15 - that's not low in my opinion. I do understand fresh, delicious crab and lobster is a premium food so I guess I just need to wrap my mind around the cost. I did look at the other menu items (fries, drink, bowl, wrap, salad) and they are indeed low in cost. Like I said, I really liked my roll and will definitely be back to order myself a whole one soon. **Dear Angie's, PLEASE invest in window coverings, or tint the windows. The sun makes it difficult to read the menu screens and order and it's also really warm in the dining area. It was 75 degrees outside and we were sweating inside. I cannot imagine how stinky and hot this place will get in the summer.

Cod sandwich with butter bun

I'm going back back to Angie's! You can't beat a $10 lobster roll! I got the warm with seasoned butter! It was so good I didn't need any sauce, I had to try it of course! They have very low price adorable meals, (chicken salads , quesadillas, crunch wraps, lobster rolls all under) for this reason alone I will be back. It was about 15 minutes from my house, I wish it was a bit closer because I would go to lunch on a regular! I also got the spicy honey cod sandwich, the tartar and spicy honey came on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like! The cod itself was not cooked as crispy as I would like, it was not my favorite. The fries were average. You order your food at a kiosk which was fast and easy. Order came out very quick! The customer service on the other hand, the staff wasn't friendly or warm! I think when staff don't take the order the staff don't feel as though they have to be welcoming to customers! They basically foundation drinks with enhancements that will come on the side. For example you can get peach Diet Coke. The peach enhancement will come in a packet so again you can add as much or a little, it may be a bit weird but I get the concept! Not much of an ambiance but there is seating available in case you want to dine in

Amazing roll for an amazing price. Will definitely return for more as the price was right and the amount of lobster was great

$13.99 lobster roll combo

Super interesting concept, fancy fast food. Kiosk ordering and bus your own table to keep costs down. (Not sure customers will comply but I love the idea). The lobster roll was great, especially for the price. Fries weren't my fave, I don't love the oil they're using. Would definitely come back for a $5 chicken salad, which could more than fill the void left by the demise of Salad and go. I think they'll do well as long as they don't over-expand.

Angie's Story
Goodness I.

I'm obsessed with this place and the concept. It reminds me of Salad and Go, where they cut out certain typical restaurant aspects to make it a cheaper experience-IN THE BEST WAY. This is a sit down restaurant, where there are no servers and you bus your own table when you're through. There is seating room, but there's not a ton of space. I would say small/medium. I got a salad and the base WITH protein was $4.99. I was honestly shocked. I will definitely be back, especially since it's across the street from my gym haha. A couple thoughts- 1.There isn't other cutlery available, only forks which I thought odd bc all the things on my salad weren't chopped up 2. I'm curious how often they clean the whole restaurant-tables and chairs-instead of relying on the customers to be thorough 3. I wonder how a person with a disability would receive help if they needed it with ordering via the touch screen system

Salad, cod fish sandwich, shrimp sandwich and warm lobster roll

Everything is self-service, and you order at 3 kiosks when you enter the establishment. You bus your own tables when you leave, and most patrons did seem to comply! Plenty of parking and they have a 10-12 tables, but would probably not recommend parties of more than 4 for seating since it can get really busy, and hard to get tables together if you have a bigger party! I do appreciate the concept of bringing more expensive food (ie: lobster) at a more affordable price point! To actually get the food, it took quite a bit of time to receive our order. Would not recommend if you're in a rush! We probably could have done without the salad, it was lacking (flavor and amount) - there wasn't a whole lot of actual greens to consume and the falafel was a bit dry. I will say though, they do give quite a big packet of sauce for the salad and for each of the entrees! Each meal combo comes with fries and a drink. The drink, even the speciality ones, are self-service and there is a sign on the wall next to the drinks to show you how to make it yourself. Fried cod sandwich meal: The amount of cod was very generous, and we probably enjoyed this the most. Fried shrimp sandwich meal: The shrimp was fresh, but I will say, the fry on the shrimp was more hard than crispy. A la carte warm lobster sandwich: We felt this was okay. The lobster came out a little cooler than room-temperature, which felt a bit disappointing. Not sure if the chilled lobster sandwich would have been better. All in all, I'm glad there's this option for lobster. For me personally, I don't think I would go back on my own accord, but I wouldn't be opposed if someone suggested it and wanted to go for a bite. Probably not ideal for a quick bite, if you're tight on time, but appreciate this being an option in the area!

Wow! Good food, awesome prices, no pretense or frills, my kind of place! Of course the lobster rolls are better in Boston, but they are also 3X the price. These are good enough for Texas and the fish sandwiches are solid. Let the emotionally shallow types that need attention go waste their money at Legacy Hall to see and be seen. We need more places like this.

Was very excited to see them come to TX as I am an AZ native and they are very popular there. Go in on opening day and it was BUSY to say the least! Different concept of no one taking actual orders, they have 3 kiosks instead. The owner and other employees were out helping people navigate the system. The kiosks are VERY user friendly and allow for substitutions and add-ons very easily. This is the BEST $4.99 Harvest Chicken salad I've ever had. Been back several times since they opened and they are packed. Hoping they bring more locations and I know with their business model they will be successful!

This is the supply you have to clean your table with!

I am not a big fish person and hubby loves something fried so a healthy fishy meal isn't our first go to, but we went outside our normal tonight. And we left so satisfied. For apps, the mac and cheese bites with crab. This should feel heavy but it doesn't. Moist and full of flavor. We did the crab fingers (special on the black board... pay attention to the specials they are fire). Tons of crab for the price and the chowder type sauce was so good. I just wish I had more bread to soak it up. Dinner was the tuna with mango sauce. I got mine rare and it was perfectly cooked. The filet was well seasoned and the sauce complimented it well. Large portion of tuna. He got the special (do not sleep on the black board) flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp. Absolutely amazing. I have never ever ordered flounder before but I guarantee ill order it if we return and its a special. Service was fast snd everyone was attentive. Cant wait until we go back.

The menu pricing is fair given its seafood but not super affordable either. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller. The oysters were massive! However, I wasn't really a fan of the sauce, and especially not the lettuce. Because the dish was served hot, the lettuce was soggy and impacted both the texture and taste of the overall dish. The best thing, in my opinion, were the Mac and cheese crab cakes. A truly genius combination. Lastly, the fried catfish was just okay. It was kind of bland but not super crispy either. The portion is really big though. The fries on the side were soggy too and could have spent a couple more minutes in the frier.

We heard about this place & since we were in the area so tried it for lunch…read more.. We were seated immediately near the kitchen. Rolando was our server he was attentive & gave us good service. We ordered cioppino & rainbow trout grilled with mashed potatoes & corn as our sides. Trout was finely prepared nicely grilled & seasoned. Loved the corn with chipotle seasoning it went very well with the fish & potatoes were good. But Cioppino was not how it's usually prepared the broth seemed very light , seasoning was not up to the mark & the mussels were ok ... had better mussels in other places... it's a seafood place so we were expecting nice juicy mussels but the meat in clams & mussels were extremely small.... That was a let down... we did take the leftover broth to have it later but it didn't tasted good ( turned very sour) so threw it away... Maybe it was one of the off day but we felt disappointed... will try something else if we visit again.

From the Off-putting odor that hits you as you enter the premise to the rather dull interiors, the place did not create any excitement. Seating though ample was kinda weird with booths available to the end of the restaurant, which seemed rather dark and uninviting. The service by Rolando was friendly and courteous which was the saving grace. The Cioppino seemed more like a tomato broth in taste and looks with some seafood thrown in. Lacked the flavors and odors of a great dish that it could have been. Seafood added to it while fresh did not seem to be of great quality. The grilled swordfish with whipped potatoes and corn was good. Will come back if there are no other options

Definitely a neighborhood local favorite on a Friday night, which is always a promising sign. Menu was diverse and seemed overall quite affordable. You could get many kinds of seafood cooked in practically any way you could imagine with large portion sizes. Bf got a plate with catfish and butterfly shrimp and I got a plate with cod. We split a side plate of fried okra. The okra was above average I would say, and we finished our plate of it. The fries were alright but nothing special, and I'd say the seafood was great. I enjoyed the shrimp I tried off of my bf's plate more than the cod, but it was all cooked well and portioned generously. The sauce it came with was tangy and paired well with the seafood. Additionally, the coke I was given was absolutely massive and easily 3x what you would get for the same price elsewhere. I'd for sure recommend this place. Just be aware that it's on the small side and parking/tables are limited!

Ever been hangry but can't figure out what to stuff in your belly? That's me tonight on a Tuesday…read more I ended up here and, honestly, I don't know that I'd go back. I got a small gumbo and catfish nuggets at 6.99 each. Even though they have a sign on the door for drink specials, apparently they didn't last more than like two months because they aren't offering that anymore. So I just asked for a water cup. 15.12 and you order at the counter and get your own drink. The water button on the soda machine sticks, so prepare for it to run for like a full 45 seconds before it magically unsticks. Gumbo came out in about ten minutes, but weirdly wasn't hot. Catfish nuggets came out about ten minutes after that (weird since they are both apps) and I asked for my soup to be reheated. I tried a nugget and it was ok, but there's like zero seasoning on them. Bland as my last tinder date people. For a place that touts New Orleans in the name, there's no creole/cajun influence here. Everything was just bland, especially the gumbo. By the way, he took it to reheat and by the time he returned it (14 min later) I needed to leave. He was nice enough to give me a lid and bag though. Service was ok, but there's like one guy and when he disappeared it was for ten minutes. I don't know if he was having to cook it or what but it made service slow. I've visited three times now and feel a three is appropriate. It's fine if you aren't looking for what the name implies.
