Cool setting and music There is seating indoor and outdoor. Service from our waitress was great and food came out really quickly. The pretzels were my favorite. I wasn't expecting how soft they were and the chunkiness of the salt. It came with two dips- cheese and horseradish (very strong). Personally, I enjoy strong horseradish, however my family wasn't a huge fan. The cheese dip was a little bland. The burger was large and cooked well. The peri peri chicken wings were cooked well (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside), however not as flavorful. Peri peri is usually pretty packed and has some spice. We specifically came for the Fish n Chips. Huge portion that can be split between two. The beer batter was great and so was the tartar sauce. I do, however, think you should know your fish. We hadn't tried pollock previously. It was "softer" than we expected or what we are use to with cod and mahi mahi. If you like pollock, then this is a really great plate!

We went in for lunch on a Thursday- it's in a strip mall so it's not terribly hard to find a spot to park- pretty much had the place to ourselves. Sat in a booth and had the bartender as a waiter. He was a nice fella and didn't forget we existed. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, they were out quickly and were DELICIOUS. Great dipping sauce too- ranch is so tired, I liked the zest! I saw a picture online of the steak frites and... oh man was that not what I got. The meat was cooked perfectly, however, if I had closed my eyes I would have told you with 100% certainty that no seasonings whatsoever were anywhere near it. I had no idea chimichurri could taste blank. The fries in the photo looked amazing. Apparently that's a special menu ask or something- no flavor in sight. My fiancé had... brisket sandwich maybe? It was good. My food made me sorely regret not getting the Cuban that I originally had my eyes on. His sandwich was good enough to still be open to trying it again. Plus it's fun-looking inside... like the leaky cauldron.

Fish & Chips were extra crispy as ordered.

Fun Irish bar in North Dallas with a great interior decor and vibe. Service is good and happy hour prices for Bier is welcome. The food is good but, not as good as it could be. The real standout, however, was the corned beef and cabbage, which is only offered occasionally. Definitely worth trying out for beer and snacks.

Came by on a Monday for lunch, besides my party of 2 there was just one other patron inside. Obviously not busy so we decided to sit at the bar. We were immediately greeted by the bartender - I forget his name but he was very professional and friendly. For a starter we ordered the soft pretzel twists ($10) - pub food for the win! Then onto entrees, I ordered the pork schnitzel ($16) and my bf got the fish & chips ($20). Both meals were fantastic! I absolutely loved the schnitzel I got, even the green beans were seasoned/cooked well. My bf also enjoyed his meal, there were no leftovers for either of us. I didn't drink but my bf did, they have a good beer list - he was happy. We really liked the medieval pub style ambiance and the cleanliness. Plus, pricing is 100% reasonable in my opinion. This is definitely someplace that I will be returning to soon!

My boyfriend has been talking about this place for MONTHS & we finally had a chance to stop in. We started with the Hummus (delish!) & a cpl of beers. They weren't too busy yet for an early Friday evening. The bar is a big wrap around w/ plenty of seating. Great ambiance even w/o any music (or if it was playing it was super low). Bartenders were attentive. We finished w/ the Espresso Cheesecake which was hands down one of the best I've ever had!! The Lindermans Framboise was a hit as well. 10/10 will return! I bet the late night crowd is super fun!

On our, "Wanna try" list so we popped in for lunch and it wasn't busy at all. We sat at the bar and had a fun time chatting with Rachael while we pursued the menu. Hubby loved the Bangers and Mash. The sausage is house made and tasted very "beefy" but lots of flavor. I had the Chicken Cali. The lettuce was wilted and brown but the flavoring on the grilled chicken was delicious! Great pour on my glass of Pinot Grigio. Beautiful bar with lots of liquor besides the brews!

Ask for Morgan - amazing bartender! Didn't get a picture of the entrees but the fish and chips give you a giant portion and are amazing! The goat cheese balls are amazing! My favorite was by far the roasted garlic hummus and the fried pickles are huge! The fish tacos were also delicious! Excellent cocktails as well!

The look of this place is really cool, however, the food is bad, like, just barely on the side of edible bad. I had fish and chips and my bf had chili. We also shared the espresso cheesecake. Nothing was good, the fish was dry and flavorless, the fries were unmemorable. The chili could've been canned. The cheesecake was not sweet at all. I have no clue how this place has been open so long.

I have not eaten any fries yet. This is the portion given

Oh dear. What has happened. The turkey burger is dry & shot through with cumin. If you are going to deprive me of the actually-hand-cut *best fries* in the northern burbs please stop calling them hand cut on the menu & at least provide a large portion to try to distract from the drop in quality. His subbed Mac & cheese was barely warm & so heavily shot through with truffle oil it barely tasted of cheese. We will miss the reliable beer & whiskey selection but we have long outgrown the too-loud thrash/death metal music.

Went to the Holy Grail Pub in Plano, TX had the French Onion chicken (so good) , Bang n smash , IPA draft beer & house wine. It was trivia night and the place was packed. Service was fast and friendly, food had great flavor, and the vibe was fun and chill .

Somebody call the Knights of Nee and Sir Lancelot, and tell them about The Holy Grail! This place is great! My friend and fellow Yelper Diana D. hipped me to this place and it has quickly become a favorite! The atmosphere is very on-theme as a medieval tavern. There is an extensive drink menu, with particularly well-crafted (read "strong") bourbon drinks, and all for $10-$12! The Lavender Old Fashioned is really great if you're into Old Fashioneds, and the Bulleit Proof is also really great and extremely strong! As for food, I've had the fried pickles, the fried goat cheese, the brisket grilled cheese sandwich, and the meatloaf. Everything has been good! No notes. The service at The Holy Grail has been consistently good the times I've been here as well. The staff are all very friendly and patient. I look forward to coming back to try more things and have more of the menu. If you're looking for a good no-frills bar and grill at a decent price, your quest ends here. It really is "the Holy Grail."

first of all the ambience!!! this place looks like a medieval bar inside i loved it! i totally wasnt expecting that but i want to come again just because of it the waiter was really nice and came by often now the food!!! honestly i got a burger but i was tipsy so i forgot to take a picture of it but im still thinking about it days later.. it was flavorful and big and perfect. my boyfriend got the regular burger and it wasnt special but it was the perfect classic burger the gravy fries were fantastic but we did have to ask for extra gravy on the side cus it didnt have enough. totally chill though they didn't charge us and honestly? amazing. its kind of like poutines if youre into that the drinks are STRONGG but they don't taste it. definitely need to go back and try more

Love coming here late evenings. Honest old style British Pub format with typically a laid back clientele. Good beer list and the food is about right for pub food. Every once in a while you run into an asshole like this guy who owns 2 or 3 seats at the bar and won't let anyone sit down, but hey... it's plano so we have a few dweebs.

    Do they have darts here?

Yes I saw 2 or 3 darts boards for use.

Is there a private room for work get togethers?

There isn't a private room but they have made the area much bigger and the newer side of the restaurant is lower key then the original side usually is.

The restaurant itself has a real cool hip vibe, definitely up my alley. I ordered myself the beer cheese-steak (with fries) and a blue sapphire cocktail - these. were. AMAZING! The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!

We told our server that between me and my wife, we will be sharing the chicken sandwich and hence requested that it be sliced into 2. Not only were the burgers sliced, it was served in separate plates with sides as well - that was a really nice touch. Cali was a bit bland, Buffalo and Burg B Q were both really nice. The drink was nice as well. There was live music but we were seated near a table that was pretty boisterous, could hardly hear anything. We walked into the bar 90 minutes before kickoff and found a table in the middle of the bar that could accommodate our party and had good viewing of the screens. As we went to sit down, a man approached us and told us that the table we were sitting at was for some "regulars" and asked us to move. The table had no sign on it that it was reserved and this man did not identify himself as an owner or manager of the establishment. Choosing to take the high road, I moved our group to another table that could accommodate our party that was off to the side. Sure enough, the "regulars" came rolling in shortly before kickoff to their "unreserved" reserved table. This is just bad business. And discourages people who are not "regulars" from coming to the bar. I regularly attend a Chicago Bears bar in Los Angeles where I live and have never had such issues. There are no unspoken "reserved" tables for "regulars." It's completely first come, first serve as it should be. If you want your "regulars" to have their table waiting for them when they arrive, just stick a reserved sign on it. Or tell them to get there early. Not difficult. We also waited forever for our drinks while the "regulars" at their "unreserved" reserved table were kept fully stocked. The service and the food was mid anyway and not worth the price.
