Service was FANTASTIC! We reserved the back of the bar for our Aunt's celebration of life. She would have loved this place! Darts, shuffleboard, food, and drinks. The place has such a chill vibe to it and was surprisingly busy for a Sunday evening. One star off because the food is just okay. We didn't like the steak we ordered as it was thin, overcooked, and turned to dust in our mouths. They did the right thing and took it off of the bill so we were happy. read more

My Girlfriend and I stopped by this joint on our mission to have a date night at every significant downtown in the DFW Metroplex. "Vickery Park Plano" had the honor of being Plano's representative restaurant. Vickery Park Plano... met the burden? I think? Their sloppy joe-ish burger (I forgot the name) was actually phenomenal in a guilty-pleasure sort of way, though I'm not totally certain I could describe the substance that held the brisket together. My girlfriend's entree was a little less impressive, a trait it shared with our server, who was a fleeting presence who seemed more intent using her phone in the kitchen/dining room hallway than refilling my Coca-Cola. All that to say, Vickery Park's damn good mystery brisket burger keeps it in the 4+ star range but is otherwise not too memorable. If you're from Plano this joint should definitely be on the casual pub line-up. read more

We are new to Texas, just moved in down the street and happened upon this happening little bar with excellent oldie playlist on a Friday evening! We ordered the Charcuterie board, jalapeño soup, wings, and grilled cheese. We'd reorder everything but the wings. The beer and cocktail selection was decent as well! The food here is really good and the staff are chill & friendly. I like that it's a casual pub that serves really delicious meals (not like other pubs). I really did not expect to like the food but I did! Got the brisket burger, muscles and a couple of drinks! They've got great artwork by local artists and a game lounge in the back. The food was delish. Give the Cream of Jalapeño soup a try. You are going to want a bowl size over a cup size. All 5 of us liked everything else we ordered. The service was attentive and friendly. We came here after a friend suggested it, and it did not disappoint! You are supposed to seat youself when you first walk in, and we walked further towards the back where there were less people and it was not as loud. It did take a few minutes for a server to notice we had been seated but then he quickly came over to get our orders. He was great and super attentive to us and answering our questions about the drinks and menu. The only downside was that as the night went on, it got louder and louder, so it was hard to hear our friends talking. It definitely seems like a fun, social place to drink and hang out but not as much for a dinner vibe. We got the charcuterie board to share with 4 people but we did not like 2 of the 3 cheeses, so ended up not eating them at all. The rest of the meats, crackers, and fruits on the board were great! We also didn't care for the pickled veggies either. For the main enteee, I got the mac and cheese with chicken and it was SOOOO GOOOD!! Some of the best mac and cheese I've had!! It was so cheesy, creamy, and flavorful - 10/10 would recommend. My friend tried a bite of mine and ended up ordering her own! Our other friend got the picnic plate, and it was so yummy! I'd get that over the charcuterie board. They also had a good selection of beers and cocktails! I got a Martinhouse sour beer that was DELICIOUS, probably my favorite sour that I've had thus far!! Overall, I would definitely come back and try some of the other drinks and cocktails and get that delicious mac and cheese again!! Service was fantastic! I walked in and the new server Sydney was extremely friendly and got us taken care of right away! I also loved the environment. A cool vibe that makes you feel right at home. The 3 stars is for the food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. As a vegetarian I was really disappointed in the lack of options. I came to this restaurant looking at previous yelp reviews and saw the Plano Vegetarian sandwich, but it was no longer on the menu. I felt like I really had no options besides the hummus dish, salad and a breakfast Mingus item. The hummus dish was very good and great portion for $9. Carrots would make this dish better. This star rating is solely based on the food quality Charcuterie & Cheese Board $15 -This was a 2 star at best for what was plated in flavor. Everything seemed not well matched or just bland for what I've paid for at other locations known to provide a charcuterie option. The Creamy Jalapeno Soup - Saved the day and was so delicious! It is true to its name and has the kick of spice if you are down for it. Brisket Burger $10 Is described as 100% ground brisket patty flame-grilled with cheddar, caramelized onions, sliced pickles & a schmear of house-made 1000 island horseradish spread served on a sesame bun. - It is big and honestly true to its description, we were expecting the brisket to be evident as any sandwich usually is but as described its "brisket patty" - The side was just regular mash potatoes with slivers of gouda on top...nothing really impressive or different. read more

Such a solid bar, definitely more in the dive side but it's exactly what plano needs. The bar is dimly lit with local artwork all around and in the back has some pool tables. I've been coming here since the location in Dallas closed and they have some of the best pizza (and ranch!) I've ever had. The Mac and cheese here is excellent and is a perfect complement to any carb loaded meal duh. They have a wide range of beer and drinks to choose from and the service is pretty standard. Went here one weekend with some friends to have some brunch before hitting up the Fowling Warehouse. The parking situation is kind of limited with only street parking but there is a dart station right beside it that I ended up parking in, not sure if that is normally okay or not but I did not get towed or booted. The place has a cool vibe to it and a nice back area with games and whiskey lounge chairs. I got the Hot Mess $10.00 which were biscuits with cream gravy, hash browns and 2 eggs then I added Bacon $1.25, Ham $1.25 and Cheddar $0.75. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were perfect. The bacon came as 2 strips and were indeed crispy but would prefer if it was chopped up like the ham was to better incorporate it into the dish. It is a very large serving, that most people would probably have leftovers from. I will note that it did take quite a while for this to come out but our server Hannah did stop by and apologize about the wait. We were also there right after they opened so maybe they were still doing prep. It was very good though all mixed up. I would gladly go back for this or just to grab a few drinks and chill. read more

The brisket burger was cooked perfectly, juicy and full of flavor. The smoked club was huge, full of thick slices of ham, turkey and bacon. Really good food. (work) and decided to try a local spot in downtown plano. Vickery Park! Despite the name there is no swing set, but you will be greeted with happy faces and an atmosphere that feels like your nation was faced with a potato famine. Drinks are cheap and the food tastes like they kidnapped your mother to work the kitchen. Its a great experience and a better life. read more

Fourth of July, late lunch. What can I say....the spinach salad was great, as was the service. However, the roasted veggie platter was not tasty, returned it. Ordered a pizza in its place, 30 minutes later asked for my pizza, bartender said they burnt it and were making a new one, would take 15 minutes. I was starving and took it to go. My brother in law ordered the burger and fries. The burger came out well done, without bacon, and the fries look like they were the bottom of the bag. He asked for medium. He also returned and got a new one made. The bartender apologized indicating it was a new cook. Sad to say but if that is the first impression of the new cook, does not look promising. read more
