Cafe GeKo is one of my favorite sports bars in DFW. You will find great service, reliable food, and good drinks. Their menu has a lot of options and everything I have tried is tasty. Some of my favorites are the queso and the Philly but the pizza is solid and so are the burgers. A place with an ample supply of regulars occupying bar stools and high tops as well as families and groups eating at the bigger tables . If you are in the Plano area and are looking for a quality watering hole to relax and enjoy sports and good food in a peaceful atmosphere with great service , you need to stop by geKo!

This has turned into one of my favorite places for an after work drink. They have a lively happy hour crowd and I've met new people each time. The place is cozy enough for conversation but still spacious enough to sit with a group of friends. They have an outdoor patio but with all the windows, this place is full of natural light- perfect for day drinking. I really appreciate their frozen margarita machine. I usually order one or two of those & an Uber. The frozen margaritas go very well with their generous sized beef queso dip.

So I came here tonight with a friend for Happy Hour and it was AMAZING!! This is a very low-key and unassuming spot so I really was't expecting much, but WOW!! The staff was so warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was super chill and inviting. Per our server's recommendation, I ordered the sour cream chicken nachos and I was blown away!! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the sour cream sauce was on point and the cheese was so melty and delicious! I also ordered The Dreamsicle cocktail and it was truly a dream! The mix of whipped cream vodka, orange and pineapple juice, and whipped cream was top tier! Not only are the drinks delicious - but they are also strong, so keep that in mind. As if the food and drinks weren't good enough - the prices are AMAZING! Seriously, my friend and I both got drinks and entrees and our total was around $35 dollars . You truly can't beat the value here. I absolutely loved my experience and I'm excited to come back!

The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. If you're in Plano and want a restaurant that nails both the food and the atmosphere, Haywire is it. I'm already planning my next visit. Hands-down 10/10. Every single one was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I had the chicken sandwich with mango habanero, pickles, and coleslaw (can't remember the name, but WOW--it was incredible). The balance of sweet, heat, and crunch was perfect. I ordered the mango habanero mixed sauces in the side and used them as a dipper just to control the heat just in case since it was my first time trying it. For drinks, I had the Crackberry cider and my husband had the Mango Cart--both were great choices. Our waitress, Aureli, was so sweet and attentive. We decided on a high-top towards the end of the bar since the Colts were being shown there. As for the interior, it's a typical sports bar setting with copious amounts of seating and tvs with your standard bar foods menu and plenty of beers and branded spirits available for order. We stuck with the miller lite which was pretty cheap and they always made sure it was full when we finished the previous one. As for food, I decided on wings with a jalapeno peach and the dirty jerk dry flavors. No issues with taste; the jalapeno peach is a solid one with a good blend of spice and sweetness. I'm a bit disappointed that for 10 wings, only 9 came with my order and when I mentioned it to our server/bartender, it went ignored. He probably didn't hear me bring it up since more people started coming in and the place was getting full. I should've brought it up again but likely got distracted by my team's lousy performance. I'm open to coming back here again. While this place is like any other sports bar, the affordable beers and that jalapeno peach flavors shouldn't be ignored.
