The wife & I went to a Sunday morning- coffee & octane meet. We ran late but got a cool glimpse & taste of the car show & shine. After Gas Monkey opened at 11 AM; majority of the car crowd left; the wife & I decided to check out Gas Monkey Ice House. Prices point is average, customer service from staff is great from the hostesses, waiter & kitchen staff. Dining area is kept very clean & tidy. Bar super nice. The outside patio is nice & with a surround pond with live fish & turtles. Pretty Cool! I really like the place!
The ambiance inside is fun and we really enjoyed the outside area! The decor was great with a sign hanging from the tall ceiling and the large truck in there too. We ordered different cocktails which were simple but all tasty. The chicken quesadilla was the yummiest food item we had. It had a lot of flavor and ingredients inside. The chopped beef grilled cheese was pretty bland and I wasn't a big fan of it. We ordered a burger, medium, but it came out well done which was a bummer. The brownie dessert came out bubbling and had yummy ice cream and caramel on it. The service was pretty slow and it took a while to get our drinks, food, and check.
Let me start out by saying I went to the one in Dallas years ago and unfortunately was not impressed in food or service. We came here the other Sunday with friends. Not my go to choice of a restaurant just going off the menu. We had small kids. The building itself is beautiful, the indoor outdoor open air concept is nice if it's not in the heat of Texas. Luckily it wasn't terrible where they sat us because the AC was blowing on us, but just walking to the bathrooms that side of the restaurant was hot. All the tables "indoors" are high tops but luckily all the kiddos were good. Our waiter definitely is the reason for the 4 star review. If it was solely on service alone he was a 5/5! Super friendly, super accommodating, and really good with time management. Really was a breath of fresh air to see a young adult really take pride in his job with a great attitude. Just on food alone it's a 3/5. It's all bar food/American cuisine with mozzarella sticks, fries, hamburgers, pizza, chicken wings, etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not my jam. And when it's a restaurant I want to be wowed by the food and it was just okay. The best thing I personally ate was the Brussels appetizer; they were cooked really well and I enjoyed the flavors. My kids of course loved their hamburger and grilled cheese; can't really mess that up. Unfortunately the fries were disappointing. They were definitely fried in old grease. The taste was burnt and not good. Kids didn't even eat them. I got the boneless chicken wings with the honey sriracha and lemon pepper. Chicken was cooked well, the lemon pepper rub was good, the honey sriracha was good but watered down and there wasn't enough sauce on the chicken to even taste the flavor. I got a Cesar side salad and the dressing was weird. We also got the mozzarella sticks and the chips and queso for appetizers. They were just like anywhere else. Cool atmosphere, wouldn't personally go until the temperature gets cooler, we had the best waiter, but the food was just okay.
Family of 5 sat at the top which was not to bad but if you want to be in the mix of things sit outside or on bottom. You're kind of tucked away at the top. We got the gorilla and pep pizza. Fed 4 adults and we had left overs! My daughter had the chicken melt sandwich and it was also really good. Hot had lots of guacamole and made the chicken slide out but other than that our meal was so good. Service was good but I did have to go get silverware and when I asked she said it was all dirty so they had to bring it out to me. We only got one refill and it's bc we asked for it. But they were super nice and sweet just probably need more staff.
It was better than a 3 but not quite a 4 just as it is rated now. The food I had was decent. Espresso martini was okay. Service was okay. The outdoor patio is cool I suppose. They have a lot of options for bar type food and cocktails. Cool to go for a one time type experience to say I'd been but I probably won't be back.
Huge establishment in the Colony near Grandscape with classic bar fare. They have a huge courtyard so you can sit outside but it is totally covered so you get the best of both worlds! The drink selection is excellent! Our service was super friendly. The food is really good. This hits all your needs for pub fare.
Had an awesome time at Gas Monkey Garage! The atmosphere was great, the drinks were on point, and the service was even better. Huge shoutout to the bartenders Cadence, Rachael, and Makayla--they were all friendly, attentive, and made the experience that much better. You can tell they genuinely care about taking care of their customers. Definitely recommend stopping by Gas Monkey Garage if you're looking for a fun spot with great service!
I've been to Gas Monkey Ice House at Grandscape a couple of times now, and it's always a fun spot to hang out. The atmosphere is great--lively, energetic, and perfect for grabbing drinks or enjoying some live music. It is on the pricier side, so it's not somewhere we go all the time, but the vibe definitely makes it a good place for a night out with friends. Overall, a fun experience if you don't mind spending a little extra for the atmosphere. The burgers are really good! Hubby loves to hang out there but the kids get a little bored. Even though it's kid friendly, it's geared more towards an older crowd.
We looooved the vibes of this restaurant. We sat at the bar on the outside, and it was such a beautiful day! The bartenders were extremely helpful, quick, and attentive. The drinks were strong and the marg pitcher was such a cool idea! We were able to get about 6 drinks total out of it. The cheese fries were SOOOO yummy. The queso, the bacon, the ranch. Everything was perfect. Oh and the tv's in the bathroom stalls are a nice touch! Hahaha. We will definitely be back.
I am always a sucker for loaded fries and these definitely hit the spot - having both cheddar and queso as toppings really appealed to a cheese lover like me. The pizza was a little too sweet for my liking, however. I enjoyed the ambiance, especially the covered patio with heated lamps and string lights! Our server was also attentive.
Came during one of the World Cup games and service was super fast. Our food and drinks came out super quick. The salads are huge so you can definitely share. I had a good experience even if it was packed. They did forget our dessert at the end but overall pleased.
Gas Monkey Icehouse in The Colony is a rad spot! Perfect place to hangout for Happy Hour after work. Lots of cool stuff from the show to check out, too. Get you some of that! Jacy is a great bartender! She gets you ice cold beer and fresh hot pizza fast!
Perfect timing and day to stop by for some Gas Monkey lunch! We met up with some Fam & Friends on our way to pick up some more Fam & Friends from DFW, and man o man this place did not disappoint! I love the Colony area!! So many good eats and things to do. This is new to us (not sure when it actually opened) and so much to take in. We opted to grub inside, so up to the 2nd floor we went. My wife and I like to order plates/platters to split, but today we decided on the Club Salad and the plate of Nachos with Chicken. The salad was good, not anything spectacular (c'mon now- it's just rabbit food with chunks of Chicken), but plenty big enough to split between us two. The Nachos??? Damn Damn & Hot Damn they were bomb! That gooey smoked Monkey queso, chicken, mashed black beans, with all the guac and trimmings... Fire! So good and we both licked that clean. Also, it's been a minute... like 30 years or so since I had a drink in a paper bag. Nostalgia for sure. We seen some kick ass machines on our way in and was surprised by a couple more on our way out. Even hit up the Merch store and grabbed a sweet hat. The outdoor portion that was covered (center of the restaurant) was pretty bad ass too. All in all, a great experience and even better with awesome friends! Our service was top notch, and would definitely come back again! As always, Enjoy & Happy Eating!!

The wife and I stopped by Gas Monkey Icehouse for an early dinner. The parking lot entrance was a bit tricky to navigate, but once inside we found plenty of open spots, a nice change from the packed businesses nearby. We loved the eclectic bar and grill atmosphere and opted to sit outside in the courtyard rather than indoors. The menu is simple with decent prices, which we appreciated. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, and my wife went with the chopped beef grilled cheese. My sandwich had a big, juicy chicken breast with the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. My wife enjoyed her grilled cheese so much she could only finish half and boxed the rest up. Great place, great prices, cool vibe. Count me as a fan. read more

The vibes are great here. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The pizza was well worth the money and the burger was solid. The service was okay but it took foreverrrr to get the food. I didn't complain or anything like that cause I know it's not the servers fault. But I might be hesitant to come back cause I don't want to wait 30+ minutes for my food again. read more

Visited this place with my fiancé for the second time as we really love this restaurant's cool vibe and atmosphere. Our waiter was really friendly and took our orders quickly. I got the waffles and crispy bacons on the side and my fiancé got a breakfast burrito. The quality of food was great and the service was good as well although we did wait a bit towards the end for our check to come. Overall I recommend this place as it has fun vibes, great food, and great service. read more

The service was great. It's seat yourself, so my part of 2 and a baby found a seat upstairs where it was less crowded on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Cobb salad, while my husband ordered off the brunch menu and got the chicken and waffles. My toddler got the cheese quesadilla and subbed the fries for fruit. My salad was great! It was spicy though and I wasn't expecting that, and I couldn't figure out what exactly was spicy about it but I liked it. My son's quesadilla was great and fruit wasn't just apples and grapes. Totally impressed but that. It was oranges, raspberries, & blueberries. My husband's (not pictured) chicken and waffles were good. It came with syrup, and hot honey (my fave). The chicken's breading didn't stick to the chicken though, but the flavor was good. As for the atmosphere, tons of TVs, the music was a little loud but the place is cool! 8/10 experience. read more

Literally this place does not miss! Great bar food, fantastic employees that are super outgoing and knowledgeable, always clean, fun outdoor/indoor experience and tons of TV's to watch the game. I've never seen a place with better happy hour deals. Especially Friday with $3 shots. Bitchin place totally great to just hangout and enjoy your night with whoever. read more

Everything was ass cheeks. Make food at home. I was bout to throw up after eating they sheep cheese and stringy McDonald's like chicken tenders. Fries tasted kinda good tho ngl. Chicken is worse than McDonald's and you may as well make a freezer pizza since it will taste better. Drinks tasted like water with flavor packets in it. 1/10, the 1 is the fries cause those were fire read more

Gas Monkey Icehouse is a great sports bar with tons of seating and TVs everywhere--no bad view of the game. The food was fine, though the chicken on the nachos could use a glow-up. Huge parking lot and a beautiful outdoor-ish area that's perfect for hanging out. Would definitely come back for the vibes! read more

Being a fan of the show, of course I had to stop in to the new Gas Monkey Icehouse in Dallas. It did not disappoint. Out front was two beautiful custom bikes and a bit later two beautifully rebuilt classic cars joined the bikes. I went with small group, and because it was a nice hot August afternoon, we sat inside in the second level. We all started with a cold drink from the bar. My hubby the Trash Bag Twisted Tea - in a brown bag. I enjoyed a Summer Squeeze (Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, Leinenkugel's Shandy, Fresh Lemonade) The Cobb Salad sounded good and light to go with the Loaded Chicken Nachos. On the salad, the lettuce was fresh and crisp, and wasn't skimpy on all the yummy toppings. We shared this really good salad. We also shared the Chicken Nacho. Really good and creamy smoked queso, sliced crispy chicken, mashed black beans, pico, and more yummy toppings. It is a relax and casual atmosphere. Great for family and friends, causal date, single, couple, or larger groups. I recommend stopping in and giving it a try. read more
The crispy Brussels sprouts sauce was AMAZING, the steakhouse burger was great & I'm glad to find somewhere with fried pickle spears! The sweet potato fries could have been crispier. The service was great, but the downfall of the night was the pizza. We had two slices and the rest was basically inedible due to how burnt the crust was. We did let the server know and apparently they're still "working out the kinks" so hopefully they can do that quickly because the pizza was ruined. read more

The food was good. The menu is limited however what they do serve is very tasty. Lots of beer on tap and various varieties in bottles and cans. The of the main attractions is the open courtyard with plenty of TV's to watch the game as well . read more

First time at Gas Monkey and I really like the atmosphere. You can sit inside, outside, upstairs... and the food was really yummy. We got the peppi monkey and the gorilla, which are their popular pizzas. The peppi monkey was my favorite and the gorilla was really good too. Kind of like a taco pizza, but we got the hot honey on the side, since it was kind of spicy. Overall a pretty nice spot to visit. read more
Had a very good dinner here!! It was quite busy since it was during happy hour but luckily got a table in about 5 min. Service was very good. I'll say we went there thinking it was LSA Burger but to our surprise, it was Gas Monkey. TVs around the restaurant was good. They also have the outside area as well but since it was hot, we chose not to sit outside. Food was good too. We will definitely go back. read more
