Brunch at Whiskey Cake Plano was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding--everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can really tell they take pride in their menu. The atmosphere was just as impressive. It struck the perfect balance between lively and relaxed, making it a great spot to enjoy a weekend brunch without feeling rushed. What truly made our visit unforgettable, though, was our server, Kevin. He was genuinely out of this world--attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and incredibly personable. He anticipated our needs, checked in at just the right moments, and made us feel completely taken care of. Kevin elevated an already great brunch into a top-tier dining experience. We'll definitely be back, and we'll be hoping to sit in Kevin's section again! Left image - Rueben Sandwich Right image - Farmer's breakfast

Met my friend last night to catch up and was delighted to try the charcuterie board, so many components, so delicious and the martini was fantastic. It was very busy, but the service did not lack always a fantastic time.

We come here all the time and I've never formally reviewed. We love to sit at the bar because Madison makes the best drinks. As a non-whiskey drinker, she has shocked me and made some amazing whiskey cocktails. Last night I had my repeat meal of the crispy chicken salad, but the star of the show was the NY Strip that my father in law had. I'm still thinking about that steak. We will be back and of course we'll ask for Madison at the bar :)

So yum! My mom and I stopped here on a whim because I was craving a burger, and whew, I'm so glad we did! The food was delicious, with all kinds of special sauces and tasty flavors. And our waiter, Michael, was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and so pleasant. Excited to come back and try other menu items in the near future.

From the bankrupt ruins of Plano Tavern comes this place. Hated it at first but it's grown on me and now I love it ! Great menu - farm to table goodness - and on point staff!

My favorite place to get chicken & waffles. The chicken was crispy & not greasy at all. The waffles were soft & fluffy. I also tried the whisky cake & it was very sweet for me. I highly recommend getting a scoop of ice cream with it to make it a little less sweet.

We made a reservation on a weeknight around 5:30 pm and got seated in a few minutes. The restaurant was already pretty crowded by then, due to their happy hour from 3-6 pm. They have small plates and limited selection of cocktails for $7, which is not bad at all! We were able to get a few drinks before happy hour ended; our waitress was pretty good at reminding us about it. I got their great rum punch and my husband ordered their old fashioned. They also had a guava gimlet, which I will try next time! Drinks are 4/5 due to their inconsistency of their old fashioned. For appetizers, we ordered their brussels sprouts. They were pretty good, and had grapes, ricotta cheese (?), and pecans (?) in it. Tasted really good altogether. 5/5 For our main entree, I ordered their grilled shrimp rigatoni and my husband ordered their fish n chips. Both were great. I definitely will be ordering my rigatoni next time. It had the right amount of flavor and had a kick to it, but it wasn't spicy. The fish n chips were good; the fish was huge! 5/5 Overall, we will definitely be coming back and trying their whiskey cake dessert. We were way too full to get it this time around. Our total bill (without tip) came out to be ~$81.

It's nice they were open on Christmas Eve and took reservations in advance. We overheard that the wait for no reservations were 3 hours as we were being escorted to our table! For a party of 15+, we expected there to be a wait for things. We were fortunate enough to still participate in their daily happy hour during M-F from 3-6 pm. The HH charcuterie was sad but the spinach dip and hummus plates were decent. They forgot 1-2 HH drinks and charged us full price for some that were ordered. They even forgot one of the kids milk drink and another kids meal while everyone was eating. My medium steak turned into rare, it was very under cooked and chewy I couldn't finish it. The highlights were the Candied Bacon appetizer, featuring thick-cut bacon glazed with a bourbon-infused toffee sauce, and their famous namesake Warm Whiskey Cake dessert. We ordered 2 with ice cream for 15 of us and it was just the right amount.

Grabbed some friends and decided to try out brunch. I called ahead and asked about wait times to which I was told it wasn't bad but she went ahead and took my information. When we arrived I was beyond happy that we had done that as there were people everywhere. We were served by Chris and he was extremely helpful, describing dishes, making suggestions and even making accommodations - I don't drink grapefruit juice but wanted the mimosa flight. I ordered the fried green tomatoes, and either I was really hungry and the mimosas were getting to me or these were some of the best fried green 'maters I've ever had. My friends ordered the brussels sprouts and enjoyed them so much that one got an order to go. The pancakes I ordered were okay. I hate to say, nothing to write home about, but you got plenty but they were pancakes. Simple. They said something about lemon strawberry butter or something but I didn't taste that and the strawberries didn't taste like anything. My girlfriends on the other hand both enjoyed their meals. We were told we should get the whiskey cake but we had no room left for it which basically means, try it next time, as we will be back!

First of all, these were some of the best Brussel sprouts I have ever had. The Whiskey Cake restaurant's signature appetizer is their Fire Roasted Brussels Sprouts, which features Boursin cheese and grapes as key ingredients, along with a hot honey vinaigrette, spiced pepitas, and parmesan. Whoever had the idea to put this all together, I hope they got an award for it. The mimosa flight was colorful but not sweet enough for me. It's a lot of alcohol for a lightweight and might need to be shared. My eggs were scrambled hard to perfection. My breakfast was good. Our server was Chris. He was very helpful and very attentive. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered.

Y'all stop scrolling. Hop in your little car and come to Whiskey Cake!! It never disappoints!!! Your life will instantly change. Periodddd

The server convinced me to order the burger because the gluten free bun is so good and said it definitly doesn't fall apart. Sadly-that was not true. Bun was somewhat stale and crumbled in 2 bites. I ended up eating it with a knife and fork.

We were a party of six and got seated originally at a small booth. They can't put the tables together in some areas because they're actually voltage to the floor. So four people sat at one table and then two of us sat at another table. It worked out perfectly fine. We just couldn't all engage in the conversation, but it was fine. I ordered an old-fashioned and it was OK. I did order a second one and opted to go to Buffalo Trace . I will say their cherries taste like they are soaked in the house whiskey and it's a lot to take when you bite it at the end of your grain. Steak is only about 4 ounces that you'll be able to see from the image so I definitely want a little bit more. We did get some appetizers - forgive me as I don't remember what the name of this dip was, but it was very tasty and was basically corn with avocado and something else. You could smell raw ground beef. We struggled getting waitstaff's attention for quite awhile and both my husband and I made eye contact with the manager in the blue shirt wearing a headset. He looked our way, sent some one else in a tan shirt and walked away from the main dining room inside. We explained that the patty was raw. His response was dismissive with an explanation that it was always cooked medium, carried the plate away, even though I explained that it wasn't "medium". We waited a long time for a replacement. The replacement was delivered by someone from the kitchen and it was done, but was served with fresh white rice rather than fried rice and was missing the avocado requested. We had to wave someone once again to request avocado. Our waitress eventually returned, apologized, and gave us an appetizer comp card. Our bill showed the loco moco removed for "flavor" and then re-added to the bill. There are other better restaurant choices in the area, so I'd recommend skipping this one.

Instead of a menu, they bring out food models or all of the desserts. There are 3 that are gluten free: the key lime pie, raspberry chocolate chips cannoli, and turtle cheesecake. The key lime pie has actual gluten free crust-like layers, and the turtle cheesecake has something similar. For the raspberry chocolate chip cannoli, to be gluten-free, they remove the actual cannoli shell that's on top, but you get all the filling. That was my favorite one (I tried all 3 GF options). The server was also really sweet, kind, and attentive. It's nice inside. Pretty loud in the main area, but there is another area sort of tucked away that is quieter if you need that. They also have a great wine list and some cocktails. Would definitely go back!

We ordered the Filet & Flight special, which included an 8oz filet, potatoes, asparagus, a wine flight, and a mini indulgence dessert for $52. Extra bonus: a complimentary dessert towards our celebration! We really appreciated it. The steaks were cooked to perfection, delicately but tastefully seasoned, generous portions, and beautifully plated. The desserts were tiny but perfect for a little something after dinner. Every dish looked like it belonged in a foodie magazine. This was our first visit to Season's 52, our first impression, and they exceeded our expectations. Great food, outstanding service (Jason) -- a great way to celebrate. We really enjoyed it! TIP: Valet parking is complimentary. Wish we knew this before circling the area for 20 minutes looking for a parking spot. LoL. Parking anywhere near there is a beast -- tip your valet driver, they deserve it.

The biscuits are soft and buttery, the ingredients are cohesive, and the execution of everything was 10/10. I tried the hot honey biscuit, the sausage egg and cheese biscuit, and the fully loaded style tots. The sausage egg and cheese biscuit really stood out to me, it's a perfect breakfast biscuit. They had a bunch of different 'styled' tater tots and they were really good. The restaurant wasn't very well cleaned after the brunch rush, but someone came over pretty quickly to clean a table for us after walking to a few different spots and not finding something clean enough to want to sit down. Overall, I highly recommend giving this spot a try!

Shown in the picture is the fully loaded style tots. The amount of bacon, cheese sauce, green onions, and sour cream made every bite incredibly filling and delicious! I think the staff went the extra mile for me here haha I've ordered their sweet tater style tots (not shown) several times - the texture of pecan, creamy marshmallow and tots are a slam dunk. I've had a lot of their biscuits before but the steak egg biscuit is my favorite, hands down.
